……………………………The Navy Sweater knits with GOLD BALL DETAILS were just as successful on my Anne Klein line as they were when I repeated the idea for Linea……It’s all in the DETAIL…..you can take very simple, classic pieces and make them Fashion Statements by adding the right touch…a new fresh detail……….Of course each of these pieces were impeccably “Made In Italy”….All of the gold beads were hand sewn onto the sweaters as they were for both the AK sweaters as they were for the Linea sweaters…..The belt and jewelry of course were all Anne Klein…………Even though these were available thirty years ago….they could all be sold today…….It seems to me that the designers today are trying so hard to be different and on the edge that they are loosing sight of how women really want to dress………………I think this type of clothing, this simple sophistication, is what the market is drastically missing today.

These designs were perfect then and are perfect now.
I’ll take one of each!!!😍😍😍
I’m seeing that you really did a lot of things for Linea…
That you did for Anne Klein? I have the 3/4 sleeve version, only the Linea version was a little more special,
with gold balls down the shoulder, sleeve, around the HEM, and the neckline, too! Love this sweater!!! It’s so
Versatile. To me, it has a nautical look, but also tailored under a blazer, and what about with the coin
Jewelry! Timeless and timely , just what women need
NOW for a simple pair of white jeans or shorts.
Good explanation of why I have been collecting as many pieces of Linea as I can find.
Louis, thank you for sharing all your AK designs. I really love the gold beaded sweaters. You are absolutely right on how the sophistication is missing today. I still get so many compliments when I wear my Linea gold beaded sweaters. I feel so elegant when wearing them. Thank you so much. I miss your Linea clothing, but I feel so blessed that I was able to partake in buying the collection for many years. I enjoy reading your blog everyday. Thank you for sharing.
Speaking as the consumer, I KNOW the market is drastically missing this kind of beauty and drama! In the sense that I could never find it. Because of fibromyalgia pain and other issues I gave up walking on those thinly carpeted cement mall floors probably 20 years ago. The grace of God took me accidentally to a channel in a hotel room where I saw my first glimpses of QVC television and quickly I discovered you and your incredible designs, products, and Jac. I felt so lucky and still do to be able to access your work and designs. I manage my pain levels so much better when I look great . No problem with Linea! What I’m trying to say is that in my humble world devoid of boutiques and big department stores, a television channel is the only way I ever would have discovered you and the miracles you make for the female form from xxs to 3X. Honestly Louis how often do your clients rave and gush here about your creations! They mean it!!!! And if anything don’t gush and rave enough! Loving these retrospective pictures and your thoughts on them and your thoughts on the current fashion of the day – even though transient. Thank you for knowing our adjustment to life without new Linea was going to take TIME.
