…………………………April 2012, had some very special pieces, and almost all of them became reorders……The swing jacket at the top right was a window pane PRINT. It was a take on the woven silk window pane with a twist. The size of the boxes were larger which worked with the longer swing shape The colors were White/Black, Navy/White and Turquoise/White……Next is the TIE DYE CARDIGAN, which really wasn’t tie dye at all. It was a print that had a lot of screens to give the gradation of color the print needed to achieve the tie dye effect. There was gros grain ribbon in contrast colors under the button holes and where the buttons were sewn onto the cardigan to give more interest of the sweater. The buttons looked like dew drops and were DTM the ribbon. The sweater had fine rib starts. This cotton/acrylic sweater came in Pink/Peach, Blueberry/Lime and Mint/Aquamarine. It was later reordered in more colors……The maxi dress below was in a cotton/span jersey knit. It had princess seaming where the pockets were hidden. The silhouette was fit and flare….The colors were Violet, Black and Reef Green….a tropical blue green……This was a must have dress……The bolero cardigan in the WK was also a must have piece an worked with many things besides the maxi dress. It had one single button at the jewel neck and elbow sleeves. The colors were Reef Green, Violet and Black……..The last item was the LACE JACKET which was a huge hit! It was a play on a Chanel type jacket with its’ jewel neckline and four patch pockets. It was the trims that gave it that “LOOK”. The neckline, the front, the top of each pocket and the sleeve hems were all trimmed with a natural color LINEN band, and sewn on top of the band a micro mini gingham check ribbon. To pick up the colors of the linen and the chocolate gingham I use a very small faux horn button. There was NO lining so the jacket was see through and VERY COOL. The first colors were a coral terracotta, a raspberry and a minty moss green….all with the same color trims. With reorders we must have done at least 4 or 5 more colors. April was off to a good start. Besides the new there were FOUR reorders….the Cheetah blazer and jersey top….the crinkle safari shirt and tank and the cotton shirt with the sheer and stripe yoke.

I loved all of those cotton summer sweaters you designed, including the “spin art” one in the raspberry that followed the butterfly print in the navy, both of which remain in circulation in my summer sweater drawer, and both of which remain beautiful.
I have been on the lookout for the tie dye cardigan. I wasn’t shopping on QVC during this time period. But I saw a picture of it when I was looking through Jac’s pictures on her facebook. There is one on either Poshmark, or ebay right now, but it’s not my size. Still looking…
