…………………….For Oct 2012 there were two distinct groups. The group above was primarily jewel colors, and the second group was based on a hounds tooth check in Black and White and Black and Violet. The focal piece in this group was the button front jacket in a wonderful PRESSED BOUCLE fabric…….The colors were deep, rich and saturated…..TOPAZ……..TEAL and FUCHSIA………I did two pieces to coordinate in Rayon Poly jersey….a wonderful draped top and a long pull-on skirt with a front section of flat pleats. The weight of the jersey fabric let the pleats drape and move beautifully……The two pieces came in the TEAL, FUCHSIA and BLACK which I showed with the TOPAZ blazer……There was also a whole group of “ESSENTIAL”Whisper Knit sweaters being offered this month that worked will ALL of the OCTOBER JACKETS!………..The coat was an incredible piece. The nubby fabric looked like it came directly from Paris. It was so expensive looking. It had the look of Givenchy……something Audrey Hepburn would have worn in “CHARADE” with Cary Grant.
This really was an incredible fall collection, from which I bought many pieces. I still remember women in the forum talking about how many things they ordered, and the huge piles of those detestable bright yellow QVC bags piled up on their front steps and porches that they had to get to before their husbands tripped over them, lol.
