………………………One of the most beautiful laces I ever used was this Black Lace from France. The pattern and texture were SUPERB!…….To the left the PORTRAIT COLLAR, long sleeve blouse was tucked into the lace skirt. We offered the skirt in two lengths. It was surprising which stores would buy the shorter length, which would buy the longer length, and which would buy some of each…..They knew what their customers would like…The dress to the right had a short sleeve. It was shaped to the high waist, and then flared to an A-Line…What you can barely see in the photo is that all of the lace pieces have tiny black sequins scattered all over. If you take a close up look at the sleeve and the front of the dress you can just make out the sparkle………The perfect black silk faille “birdcage” shoe went with EVERYTHING! Pearl and Jet long earrings finished the look.

Yes, shoes! All to-date have been amazing but these are a great big WOW! My eyes did an involuntary happy dance when I saw them.
It must have been really hard to keep up with you on a daily basis. You were involved in everything. So many moving parts to just one design project and you had many. Did your staff wear skates? What fun tho. I would have loved it.
Dear Pecan Cookie, I had a great staff. It really wasn’t large. There were 4 of us in the studio, but each had a specific job to do so there was a lot of one on one…..There is a saying that I have found to be so incredibly true in all walks of life….”Shadow of the Leader”….whether you are the head of a huge company or a parent. Yes, I was involved in everything….every aspect of the company that had to do with design, production, shows, sales and advertising. That’s a huge umbrella. I’m probably leaving something out, but those are the areas that came to mind.
Gorgeous, Louis! I love the dresses and the shoes. I would have had to go with the A line, but if I had Gayle’s figure, I would have worn her dress! Every time that I see your amazing shoes, I’m disappointed again that QVC never let you add shoes to the Linea line.
