The April Gauze Dress, A233185, is all about “The Lightness of Being”. It is GOSSAMER, FLOATY, WEIGHTLESS, which makes it the perfect summer dress. The fabric is the exact same fabric as the uneven hem shirt, A233187, that many of you have and many of you have wait listed. The slightly crushed surface gives the dress a RELAXED CASUAL ATTITUDE, and certainly can be worn from the beach to a dinner out. This is the perfect take away dress……easy care and easy to pack. What do you wear to a beach wedding? I think this can answer that question. The colors are the same as the shirt……………………WHITE………….TURQUOISE…….BLACK…………….The dress is fully lined in a Trico knit and stops inches above the bottom hem to give that light airy look…..however, it will still cover your knee. The dress has very interesting seaming and the patch pockets are left sheer, again to give the dress lightness. It measures approx. 44 inches to the center front, at the shortest point. Notice in the photo in the lower left….the black dress is paired with a new GAUZE KNIT SHRUG……the perfect compliment to this dress and many others……sneak peek to come. The dress has a back zipper, but has a relaxed fit, for a shaped dress. The idea is for it to glide over rather than hug the body………..again, the perfect summer dress………………..enjoy……..much Love……………..Louis

I’m not a fan of uneven hemlines. I think I’ll hem it to just above the knee all the way around. How do you think that will look? I’m in for the white with the white cocoon shrug this time around! Thank you.
Dear Cheryl…………I’m not sure how well that will turn out. As you can see in the sneak peek photos there is extra fabric at the sides for the drape. If you cut off the points, you may have to also take some of the sweep off also.
Can you please tell me how this works? I am new to this website, saw the dress, and tried to order it on qvc. Got a message that it is no longer available. Are their pieces that are only shown here? I would love to have that dress in white, size medium.
Dear Susan…..welcome to my website. Don’t pay any attention to the message from QVC. If it’s a new item, such as this dress, it has to be loaded into the system and posted on my Linea site in order for you to place an order. If you try to order before this, the message will be it’s sold out, or unavailable or whatever else they come up with. It may be unavailable at the moment but since it has not been sold it is not sold out. There is no rhyme or reason to what they do. They already have my new lace dress and shrug posted. Maybe they haven’t gotten around to photographing it yet??? Who knows. I would suggest the day of the show on the 18th is when you should start to look and see if it is posted.
Thanks – I will do that. Its a beautiful piece. Now that I see you have it in turquoise I will have to re-consider – turq dress with coral bracelets – my summer dream!
Louis, I got the gauze shirt w/uneven hem in all three colors and LOVE them. I have already had compliments on them and I know I’ll wear them a lot. Your clothes give us ladies the confidence we need and we appreciate you and your designs so much. I’m trying to decide which color dress I can live without. Thanks for all you do for us.
GORGEOUS!!!!! You are my hero for ALways listening — THANK you so much for the Black and the White! Love the Turq too 😉 … and Black and White also in the shrug to come? can you say Must Have Wearables forEVER !!! omg … just LOVE it Louis
Speaking of gauze, what about the the gauze cardigan that you brought out earlier this year? Will the black work with this dress? Since they have “competing” hemlines and are different fabrics, I’m wondering if they could be worn together.
Love this dress. It’s so me! I must have the blue, but am considering the black as well. Are there any more pieces planned for this fabric this year? Can I just say that it seems silly to once again put coordinates in different shows. (I know it’s not you who makes these decisions). Had I known about the blue dress, I would have picked up the blue shirt and now it’s totally sold out. It’s a bit frustrating when trying to create a wardrobe. (I’m preaching to the choir I know)

Carol….i Don’t think they would look good together…..way to much going on and the fabrics aren’t suited to one another.
Love the contouring around the empire line, our most flattering area~love the little “cell phone” pockets. Can’t wait to see the shrug. Does it flare also?
The shrug is more like a cocoon. It’s actually very simple…..it’s a tube with the center of the seam partially open for the arms. You can wear it as a gauze scarf and when it gets chilly…..put it on. You can carry it in a zip lock bag in your tote….great for travel.
Neat! Sexy, too. And colors?
Black and white………and the white will work over the white dress.
Louis – I adore this dress! When will it be shown?
April 18th, on my 11pm show.
Lucite jewelry- gotta have it!
Anxiously awaiting the tortoise jewelry 🙂
As I emerge from the dream world of sleep, I don’t know whether I’m awake or not when I see these lovely dresses. This is the “goddess gown” for everyday life. My eye is on the turquoise.
great summer color
WOW! You keep designing everything that is pefect for my lifestyle. I just wish that it wasn’t coming all at one time and could be spread out. These dresses are must haves.
Are the beads on the black dress coming are way? The mix is fantastic!
Believe it or not…..since Feb. they have been spread out and we still have May and June!
Just wonderful! I must have both the black and the white.
If one wanted to do so, could the pockets be removed?
VERY VERY CAREFULLY…..try them first….you may like a place to rest your hands LOL
Love this dress and I love the lucite earrings…hint hint

Louis, this dress is perfection! The gauze is great for summer heat and the design gives a fitted look with lots of flare to hide what needs hiding! I’m in for the turquoise and perhaps the black as well. I’m also in for the bamboo lace dress! I’ll be attending a summer wedding in California and was agonizing over what to wear. But as usual, Louis comes through for me. Now I’ll only have to decide which of these dresses to wear to the event, but any or all of them will be great for my trip. Thanks, once again, for taking all the hassle out of dressing well for whatever events come up on my calendar.–Blinddogs
you are very welcome!
