“THE GARDENS ARE AT THEIR PEEK!”

………………………The garden in July is at its’ most beautiful stage when the majority of flowers are in full bloom. There are still some late bloomers to come like the Morning Glories, but in mid August many of the blooms start to fade out. This has also been a banner year for my gardens and potted flowers. Maybe it’s because of all the rain mixed in with the sunny hots days we had earlier in the month. What ever the reason it all looks beautiful.

    hi Louis
Well another banner year for your garden- congrats. Thanks for sharing-.
It has been rainy and now hot in the south. I planted caladiums this year and they have done well. Nothing compares to your beautiful spread though. I’ve been enjoying the bees and birds( a few hummingbirds). The frogs sing at dusk too-.
    thanks again for sharing.

This garden must be absolutely alive with the sound of bees as you have everything I can think of to attract them, as well as the butterflies that must be fluttering about due to that milkweed I see as well as the many other plants that they love. What a haven for those creatures, as well as for you.

Yes April….it makes me so happy to see all of the bees and butterflies going from flower to flower. It wasn’t long ago when bees in my garden were rare! I’m still waiting for a Hummingbird to come visit.

Beautiful, restful garden. Even the girls can’t resist taking a nature break.

Your garden is a perfect riot of color and looks like a lovely loose bouquet. Thanks for sharing your bounty!

Gorgeous, Louis! It must be lovely to sit outside, particularly in the early evening, and enjoy the sights and smells of the garden. It looks like one of the girls has already claimed your seat. Lol.

You have a very beautiful garden! Thank you for sharing those pictures! We are in the midst of a drought here in the west as you have surely heard. People think of this as a rainy part of the country but that is changing. Summers have always been mild in the past. Extreme, never before high temperatures in June fried most of my potted plants and even many very large trees have visibly brown areas. Summer has always been my favorite season but with the wild fires last year as well as heat and drought this year so far, I’m starting to feel differently about summertime. There have been wildfires this year too. Not in the immediate area but still a big concern of course to see all our gorgeous landscape being decimated. We haven’t even reached the time of year that forest fires have occurred in the past. I’m glad you are having such lushness in your garden! You have obviously spent a lot of time cultivating that beautiful garden!
