BACK TO MOMBO…….all three camp we stayed at, Abu, DumaTao and MOMBO are owned by the same “concession”. There is a common thread that runs throughout. The architecture is similar, the materials and furnishings are similar, and the layout of the properties are similar, though nothing is exactly the same, and each unique. Before DumaTao opened this year, MOMBO was considered the gold standard. That was before Duma opened. IMHO Duma far surpassed all of the camps. There is a lot of competition between camps as to which is the best.

…………MOMBO camp was out final stop…All three camps we stayed at, Abt, DumaTao and Mombo are owned by the same “concession”. There is a similar thread throughout the camps. The architecture, the building materials, the layout of the properties, the furnishings etc were all similar, but different and unique. Before DumaTao was built and opened this year Mombo was considered the gold standard, but IMHO as nice as Mombo was Duma far surpassed it. There is a great competition between camps! It keeps them on their toes…….MOMBO was named after a famous bull elephant.
I enjoyed watching this. I showed it to my husband. He loves birds. This is probably as close as we will ever get to an African safari!

I have enjoyed touring all of the camps with you- I like the decor in mombo number 7- especially the open metal sculpture dividing the shower from rest of bathroom. This camp seems peaceful.
i’m sure Chris was delighted he accepted your invitation.
I’m not sure I will ever get to Africa, but feel like I’ve gotten a good taste of it through all the videos you did for us.
Much appreciated.
