……………………ESTELLE…………..Estelle Lefebure…….a true beauty!!!! She was simply exquisite. These photos were part of my Fall 1993 Anne Klein National Ads campaign. Three of the ads were licensee products…….Hand Bags and Small Leather Goods, Scarves, and Furs….Yes in 1993 I designed furs. The coat was Golden Russian Sable……..In the center photo Estelle is wearing a Camel Hair Coat, a Camel Hair TN and a Black Suede Shirt. All of the clothes and jewelry Estelle is wearing were part of the collection. ETRO printed the scarf for me on silk. The Peanut Brittle Embossed Crocodile pieces were in leather. Estelle was one of the most beautiful models I ever worked with. She was married to a very famous French rock singer at the time and she lived in Paris. His name was David Hallyday, and his parents were Sylvie Vartan and Johnny Hallyday. They were both very famous French singers. Johnny was considered the Elvis Presley of France, and sold more record and won more awards than any other French artist of his time. They were both beautiful couples, but unfortunately neither of their marriages lasted…..Estelle was a hugely successful model who did many magazine covers around the world, but she rarely came to the US and only did photography in the US. She had an incredible face! At 55 years of age I believe she is still modeling….. For more on Estelle, David, Sylvie and Johnny it is worth googling.

Louis, I looked up Ms Lefubre with great interest. But all of the Youtube videos are in French. Mine is so rusty as to be nonexistent. Do you and did Jac speak French? How did you get along with the French models, meaning did you have to be fluent in the language?
I spoke very little French even though I took 4 years of it in French. Jac did speak some French, and was studying the language until she became ill. The French models, actually all of the models from around the world spoke enough English so working with them was never a problem. The models that really couldn’t communicate at all didn’t often come to the US.
Thank you!!! Will try!
Louis – your stories entertain so many ladies ! You have more than one gift!
And by the way , how do you make your special roasted potatoes ?
(Designer, storyteller-author , chef ..,..)
Very simple…..Peal potatoes and cut up into small pieces, not too small and random shapes. Put in a roasting pant with oil to coat and a little extra, salt and pepper to taste, and fresh or dried Rosemary. Preheat oven to 350-400 and put potatoes in. Stir so they don’t stick, but if they do don’t worry. When potatoes are brown on the outside and not sticking to the pan they are done, but don’t over cook them. Cooking time can vary depending on the potatoes and size of pieces. 45 mins should do it but always check. They usually pop off the bottom of the pan when you use a metal spatula.
