…………………….Many years ago Women’s Wear Daily published these sketches of animals and over laid the sketches with designer’s faces and names. At first glance it seemed like a lot of fun! I have to say when it came out there was a lot of conversation about how some designers were depicted….Upon further examination it was obvious that John Fairchild was making a statement……Some of the designers were not friends of WWD, and had shaky relationships with Mr. Fairchild at best…….I was portrayed as as Panda…..which was fine with me……..better than a worm……LOL

Haha! I expanded the photo and there he us! Thanks for pointing him out. Don’t think they ever made up.
I enjoyed reading W Magazine when it was a newspaper style. I know I have a few copied buried somewhere.
Thank you, Elaine
Hi Louis,
Geoffrey Beane is among the missing….guess that was in the middle of Mr. Fairchild’s feud with him!
Have a good weekend,
Elaine
Elaine…look again….he was the Porcupine, but they use his real name not Beene. Fairchild and Beene hated each other.
