Thank you. My first (somewhat bitter) laugh of the day. Our middle son Charlie flew home to Buffalo from NY for the hols as the business he now works for (after a full year of being laid off from his former job because of this wretched virus) basically closes for the 2 weeks around Christmas, and now that omicron has raised it’s ugly head in the city, we are much relieved to have him here, although our area of the state is driving us crazy because of some of our “citizens” intransigence re: their “Freedom of Choice”. He couldn’t even get a booster shot in the city because of the backlog there, so I had to find him a pharmacy here to get him an app’t asap after he got off the plane, which was, of course, 3 hrs delayed at JFK due to flight staffing problems and delays out of Chicago. HE’S the one scarfing down the ice cream and Christmas cookies right now; his father and I are chewing our fingernails, and keeping an eye on the news and weather reports. I was very happy to see and read that you had such a lovely Christmas with YOUR family, as did we, so we take our pleasures and blessings where we can these days, and are grateful for them, and must look forward to a better new year. What else can we do? Oh, yes; vote like our lives depend on it, because as we’ve learned, yet again and very much to our sorrow, they actually DO.
