I’m not sure when this picture was taken, maybe 5 or 6 years ago at a Greek restaurant in NYC. We were having dinner with our good friend Brenda Vaccaro. Her friend, can’t remember his name, stopped by for a drink after the show on Broadway he works at ended for the night…..Jac and I met Brenda at least 25 years ago…. I was doing a fashion show at Lincoln Center, and she was in a Broadway show , “Jake’s Women” ???? She came with some of the other actress in the show. She was staying at a very good friend of her’s apt…..Lee Grant, another fabulous actress. We met Lee and her husband Joey through Brenda, and for years Jac and I were invited to Lee’s New Years Eve party on the west side of NYC in the 90s. They had a huge old apt and always filled it with the most interesting people…..There were always a slew of actress and actors writers and directors and producers at her parties. Who ever was in town from the west coast she would invite. Lee and Joey new everyone!!!! We, as fashion people, were like fish out of water, but we always met and talked with the most amazing people…..The list would go on and on and on…… Brenda always has the best stories!!! She dated Michael Douglas for many years, and they were friends with Jack Nicholson, and that wild bunch. I haven’t seen her in quite a while, but she always made us laugh!

Louis…..I hopped over to fb yesterday when the blog was down and read your post about the fabulous Brenda Vaccaro, Valerie Perrine and Lee Grant (with other honorable mentions). You certainly “spilled the tea” and it was entertaining and HILARIOUS!!! I loved those ladies as a girl growing up in the seventies.
Speaking of two actresses from those parties…..have you seen “And Just Like That”? Brenda Vaccaro and Sarah Jessica Parker give great performances and are wonderful together in their roles of that reboot of SATC. Thanks for sharing another moment from you and Jac’s incredible lives.
