………………….Some may consider such a deep green color not to be a true resort color….but I heartily disagree. For me it’s the color of tropical palms and ferns…. The depth of color gives the necessary contrast and richness to the more vibrant colors found in the flowers of the tropics. The Shawl collar elongated silk jacket was lined in the self silk which made it a double layer of silk! It was softly constructed and the tailoring was also softly done….The Bustier Sarong dress had inner construction that is necessary for a proper fit and to make the dress feel secure. The top of the dress was also double silk to give the inside a beautiful finish….Remember this was Anne Klein Couture! The double silk jacket was $675, while the dress was $395……..Today, 30 years later, each piece would be well over $1500……Jasmeen looks exotically beautiful in the Cypress color.

Louis…… you never have to sell me on any shade of green for any season. Sign me up! Most rooms in my house are different shades of green- soft chartreuse, soft lime, bright olive, artichoke and avocado (a true fresh avocado without the overly dark brown-gold tones from the ‘70s) with touches of black and neutrals-and then I throw EVERY COLOR in the world on top of those green, depending on the season and my decorating whims. Our home is surrounded by trees and we are on a hill which gives the effect of being in a tree house! To me, it is the loveliest neutral of all…..and not just for the tropics. When mother nature shows off her finest in the spring and summer everywhere-green is the background for it all.

I agree….I have green rooms in my hose too….from the forest green velvet walls to a very pale aloe green
