………………I always look forward to my visits from Chantal and Angela……..I can’t believe I’ve know them for so many years! I planned a lovely weekend of doing NOTHING, but laying in the SUN, EATING and DRINKING……The weather cooperated beautifully…………Not a cloud in the sky, and a wonderful breeze coming off of the water of the Long Island Sound. They arrived, due to lots of traffic, later than expected, but as soon as they arrived the party began. I had made plans to go out to an early dinner in Westport Ct. at a fun restaurant named Tarry Lodge…..so I prepared a small little something for us to eat before dinner. I knew after a three hour plus drive they would be hungry and THIRSTY! I had assorted cheeses, SPICY SALSA, Guacamole, and a Caprese salad with fresh basil from my garden…plus assorted crackers and toasted French bread to dip into the mustard dressing dressing…….and lots of COLD SANCERE to wash it down with. Then we sat outside where I had soft music playing, and relaxed until it was time to change for dinner…….The girls always tell me coming to my home “is like going on vacation”….It’s time to relax and let all tensions melt away…….Welcome to the DELL’OLIO RESORT!
So glad to hear about the girls coming for a visit! You are the perfect host, thinking if all the little touches to make one feel welcome and relaxed. The ladies look lovely as usual! I don’t watch qvc anymore and miss seeing them.

Karen, they need to be sprayed….If you have a landscaper speak to them…if not go to a nursery, with leaves in hand, and ask them what to do.

You have a true 5-star resort at Casa Dell’Olio and it’s so fun to see Angela and Chantal enjoying it! Being able to gather with friends and family again this summer is truly at gift I’m sure none of us will ever take for granted again. Happy summer to you and your guests.

There was a question about the tablecloth a lady was inquiring about I have one that looks like yours and the company is Maison d’ Hermine and the name is Limoncello, I too have done all lemon themed dishes also.
Dear Kathy….I have ordered from Maison d’Hermine, but I think my lemon table cloth and napkins came from Williams and Sonoma.

Your tablescape is lovely! I also bought a lemon tablecloth for dinners outside on our deck this summer. Lemons seem to be all the rage this season. The prettiest lemon graphic is yours and I managed to find your lemon t-shirt on Ebay!! I am so thrilled to have it. I love the weight and texture of the fabric….it looks expensive (of course it does-you designed it). It is such a collector’s item.
I had a total hip replacement yesterday. My surgeon said hip replacements are common with ballerinas, which I was in my youth. I Wouldn’t trade my ballet days for anything ,even to avoid surgery. It was worth it! While I am convalescing, I will be shopping for Linea jewelry and spending time with my wonderful DH, who treats me like a queen and sais “buy as much Linea as you want. i know it makes you happy!”

Dear sunbluesea sorry to hear about your operation, but I totally understand there is a lot we will give up for our art. I have met many ballerinas and male dances and know the pain they will suffer to keep dancing as long as they can. If you got my lemon Tee shirt on ebay you must have gotten the sample, because we never produced any others……..your DH sound wonderful…..shop away!
