Hi everyone……I am starting to plan my Whisper Knit colors for next Spring/Summer. I know you all what WHITE….what else?

Louis, thank you for asking. I’d like to own the WK sweaters in Limoges blue, tomato red, sunshine yellow, Kelly green, and optic white. These are beautiful colors for next Spring.
Belle
I agree with Belle Femme, great colors!!!
Louis, Would you consider doing something like A92295 in WK -a dolman-sleeve sweater, that reverses from a bateau neck to a V-neck? It would be fabulous in Whisper Knit!
Dear Kate…..I did the sweater you are describing a few years back. I don’t remember the style number but it was a dolman sleeve with a v neck and a bateau neck in the WK. I loved it, but it only did fair. I remember it was in a dark spruce green but I don’t remember the other two colors.
That’s the one. How disappointing that it was only a ‘fair’ seller-it’s a great style. A few ladies on the QVC boards have been discussing our wish for a dolman-sleeve sweater in WK. Food for thought…
Hi, Louis. How about Purple to go with the Purple Tie Dye Dress? Thanks.
I do not have any specific request for colors. I believe the palettes always offer something for just about everyone. I would like to see some more updated silhouettes – more fitted, not so long. I liked the whisper knit waist whittling sweaters with long sleeves, and would like to see that silhouette return as a sleeveless foldover turtleneck or wide v-neck with cap sleeves.
I agree with Catherine – would love more fitted, not so long. Especially in the sleeveless or short sleeve pieces to layer under blazers.
I’ve been thinking about this, and would like to add a request for Violet and Espresso WK pieces. They’re not particularly spring colors, but they’d fill a need in my wardrobe, for sure! They would also combine nicely with the Fiesta colors from this spring.
Clear lipstick red, warm sand, mushroom, bark brown, salmon, mint, dove grey (cool), deep iris blue, royal, gold, camel, cognac, ivory.
Please, Louis, no heathers!!! — just pure clear colors like dove gray, deep charcoal gray, natural/sand, fuschia, magenta, pale sky blue, spa blue.
That cobalt blue of the long sleeve cowl neck please! I want everything in this color of all colors! 🙂
Oatmeal (heather)
Pearl gray (heather)
Both these colors look so fresh with Perfectly Pink, and
Berry- working back to black- always
Olive- Can’t get enough of this Linea color
Besides the colors I’ve listed below, I would really, really love for you to make a jewel-neck or true crew neck Whisper Knit top! An elbow sleeve top would be fabulous, too. Thank you!
Cream or bamboo
Golden tan or amber
Periwinkle blue
Black
Olive
Navy
Red (blue-red)
Colors from Monet’s Water Lilies:
Blue white
Soft pink
Blue violet
Grey blue green
Watermelon rose
Louis, thank you for letting us throw out some of our dream color suggestions. Certainly a bright summer white is top of the list. I’d like to add my votes for more WK items in Limoges blue and tobacco. I’ve worn the tobacco shell so much this summer. It is a wonderful neutral. For new “bright” colors to add to the fiesta, I’d like the beautiful yellow that the denim skirt came in or a poppy red. I have your “watermelon” red cardigan and shell, and would like a warmer red set as well.
In a softer, neutral range, I’d like a muted, neutral green (summer version of the chartreuse color in the Waist-whittling sweater?). I get the Pantone color reports for my marketing job and there was a color a couple years ago that I guess designers didn’t pick up – it had a name like daiquiri or margarita green. I looked everywhere for that color that year. I know most see the blues and pinks in a Monet, but I think the golden greens are spectacular in Monet’s gardens and ponds. Another color I’d love would be sea glass, a.k.a. “spa blue” (interior design slang). Lastly, like some of the others here, I’d love a chocolate…french roast brown. I love brown with white in Summer accented with daiquiri green or the sea glass/spa blue. Deb
OOOO…Bamboo, Limoges Blue, Light Rose, and Tobacco and
Taupe for Fall!
Thanks for asking.
I’d like to see some shade of red/fuschia/cerise.
light heather grey
camel
ivory
periwinkle blue
rose
(And hoping for charcoal and espresso for the fall!)
Hi Louis,
Thank you for your beautiful WKs and for asking for color choices:
Chili Pepper – red
Deep/Dark Chocolate – brown
Deep/Saturated Periwinkle/Iolite
Deep/Saturated Emerald Green
Deep/Saturated Magenta
Deep/Saturated French Blue
Pale Butter Yellow
Black
Camel (like good old fashioned camel-hair coat color)
Navy – please retain your perfect navy!
Thank you, Louis!
Hi Louis
Thanks so much for asking for our opinions.
I would be very grateful for a WK sweater in limoges blue to wear with my unlined limoges blue jacket. I love and frequently wear your WK cardigans with the matching v neck sleeveless WK tops. More of those in some pretty solid pastels for next spring & summer would be welcome wardrobe additions.
I look forward to purchasing anything WH in pure white & a soft ivory or cream would be nice too.
Thank you.
Lavender/lilac/orchid/violet
Grenadine RED (as in pomegranate extract) – not a blue, nor orange or yellow – A Universal RED.
Orange (Nectarine WK) + RED = Tequila Sunrise!
And Sunshine Yellow……my tulips now blooming in rows of yellow & red – they’re just gorgeous.
Thanks for asking, Dear Louis
Let me join the chorus..Limoges blue, true white white, Kate’s gray (like the color of fog with blue undertones0 and a dark blue red. I love your Whisper knits and wear them to work at least three times per week.
Thanks for asking!
Echoing others, I’d love (in order of preference):
-true red
-kelly green
-Limoges blue
-bamboo
-perfectly pink
-chili pepper
And while I love the idea of something grey, I’d prefer to see that in the tweek tank.
You are just the best — thank you for your beautiful designs, sophisticated aesthetic, and unparalleled accessibility.
Judy
Where is the Whisper Knit pencil skirt? What about a color you would call stone, moss, lichen? Teal, peacock, violet, or ultraviolet! Colors to take our breath away!!! Love the drape front top, so flattering.
Well since you asked (and THANK YOU for asking!), my choices are:
True red
Sunshine yellow
Periwinkle
Coral
Periwinkle, turquoise (again, I was unable to purchase this year, yellow and white.
Pale Lavender (to go with the pale lavender blazer with the pearl buttons)
Ivory (to wear with the navy and black kimonos with the ivory embroidery)
Sand (to go with the sand blazer with the pearl buttons)
Limonges Blue
Chambray Blue
Seafoam (loved the seafoam tie dye dress color)
Peacock (as the color of the blazer with the gunmetal zippers)
Perfectly Pink
White, white, white for me! But also a pale gray, a cool one without too much blue. Also VERY pale but clear pastels, like white with a drop of pure color in it.
So many color choices, lol…medium berry pink, dusty lilac, mushroom, olive, true red, pure white, sky blue, light heathered gray, chocolate brown, dove gray. I am sure you will bring us gorgeous colors. Thank you. Looking forward to your next show.
I’d love to see a light beige/khaki color and a medium blue color that could go with denim capris and shorts (even jeans in early fall in the South). I like muted colors a little better than the vivid colors but that’s just me. I know plenty of others love the brighter colors, too. Frankly I’ll look at anything and be tempted!
Yellow that will work with the sunshine yellow denim pieces
Chili pepper
Flamingo–like the feather knit pink
Espresso
Lavender, like the lavender crepe suit, or one that works with the navy/lavender butterfly sweater
Bamboo
I love the colors you use, Louis, and would love coordinating wk colors.
You’ve opened the flood gates! Thanks for asking.
crdlb
I would love to see periwinkle, pale olive and turquoise.
Yellow, true red, medium purple, white (of course) and gray
Joyce Adams
Light lavender
Hemp
True red (not bluish or orangish)
Whisper Knits are terrific!
Ivory, butter yellow, light coral or salmon, lavender and the same smoke gray and hemp that you did in the feather jersey this summer. Thanks for asking!
Thank you for the white! I’d also love to see a rich chocolate, yellow, the tan color in the tie dye sweater (or bamboo), pale heather gray, chambray blue.
Oh, and a strong second for Kate’s suggestion of a lovely PALE Gray “like the color of fog with blue undertones” … what a gorgeous idea!
I would vote for periwinkle in the knits and have them earlier in the season. While I am at the computer I would also like to request for next year a nylon tightly woven unlined raincoat about dress length with a removable hood …… very light weight and something to go over dresses and jackets on a rainy evening….. that could be dressy as well as sporty…….. I have been looking for this for a very long time…… Black of course and whatever else …….. Thanks
Bamboo, please!!! Latte, sunshine yellow, Limoges blue, the deepest color in the Aqua tie-dye (similar in intensity to the aqua WK, but more green than blue), coral, gray, and the blue in the striped dress and the placement print dress.
Plus another vote for Bamboo, and white.
Thanks for asking, Louis.
In Mock necks – sleeveless or otherwise:
Butter Yellow
Perfectly Pink
Ivory as well as White
True red (no orange in it)
I’m on board with the dreamy Monet colors 🙂
Some more color choices– rose pink, heather or dove gray, leaf green, smoky gray (like the FJ items).
My color choices are Red, Gold, Bright Green, Bright Blue and a Bright Yellow.
RED to wear under the reorder crepe jacket that you will be showing this month and PERFECTLY PINK to wear under my perfectly pink jackets would be my choices. Thanks for asking!
Carol
P.S. Would love to see more “warm” colors in the tie dye sweaters if you can make them again. I know we are discussing whisper knits, but thought I’d put a plug in for the tie dyes. I also didn’t read your “spring/summer” collection wording and headed right for the fall..but I will stick with my chocolate brown, camel and “beachy sand.” Thanks again for your gorgeous clothing.
Would love to see a Spring/Summer version of the gorgeous red used for the WK turtleneck! Thanks for all that you do for us — we appreciate you and Jac!
I’d be in for the colors in a Monet garden, as Qulia so aptly put it; soft but intense “french hydrangea blue”, and a soft yellow to go with it, along with a deeper Limoge Blue … kind of the colors in the new FJ Azure dress in fact … and Chili Pepper Red, but you knew that LOL. Actually Qulia put it perfectly … the colors in a dreamy French garden, with Limoge Blue and Chili Pepper as the accent punches of color, and one perfect floral print to tie all together ?
P.S. One more request? Beg Q to put these up for sale a little earlier in the spring, as in late winter/even January/February, just when we’re dying for some spring colors, and while it’s still cold enough to get a lot of wear out of the pieces before heat and humidity land on our doorsteps …
Would love a deep, rich chocolate brown and a true saturated camel as in those “old” real camel-hair coats. Would also love a “beach sandy” color as in your tan/peach tie dye sweater. The colors in that sweater are stunning. Thanks, Louis!
A wine or burgundy
A blue/gray
A green/black
Also, a deep cobalt blue
Holy cow, talk about reading what you want to see! I thought you were inquiring for fall colors. Strike all my answers.
SO glad whisper knit returns!! and thank you as ALways for listening ie: the WHITE 🙂
new colors: Lipstick red
Fiery Coral
True Turquoise
Royal Blue
thank you!! Amy aka Lacylass
I would love limoge blue, in addition to white, chambray blue and flamingo and kelly green.
Louis, you know your ladies. We NEED (not want) a set of PURE WHITE WK. Cardigan, moc t, tneck, u neck, v neck, kimino. NOT IVORY.
I would love to see some rich preppy greens, a KELLY GREEN. Also shades of coffee brown, rich and deep.
I hope you can do these for fall and winter. We need emerald green, ruby red, chocolate brown, burgundy, dark teal….
Hi Louis,
Great news that the sweaters are coming back next spring! I am totally on board with a good white white. As for other color ideas, how about a nice deep blue red like the red of geraniums (or maybe your chili pepper) and a pale pink like a cool toned peony pink (or perfectly pink)? Finally I’d love a pale lavender shade leaning towards a hydrangea blue. And since you’ve done that other floral cardigan how about doing a water color one along the lines of Monet’s water lilies?
So this spring was fiesta colors, maybe next spring might be dreamy garden colors. I’ve been spending some time in my garden enjoying the colors and textures and find that to be a great source of inspiration.
Thanks for asking letting me toss some ideas your way. Best to you and Jac!
Julia
Like I said, others will have better ideas!
Pale gray (like the color of fog with blue undertones), chambray blue (or whatever one would call the heavenly blue that’s in the new floral cardigan in the coral tone), the flamingo pink of the feather knit group and maybe kelly green (for the preppie in us all).
Betting others have better suggestions.
I would love optic white
burgundy-reddish, not brown
teal
periwinkle
cool rosy pink
soft lemon butter yellow
Caribbean blue
Limoges blue
Payne’s Gray
Antwerp Blue
Quinacridone Coral-very pinky
Blue-green
Blue-red
Rose
Lilac
I am wearing my V-neck black right now, Limoges slouchy jacket and white drawstring skirt, Limoges blue watch and silver jewelry and feeling very comfortable. I also love the aqua with the white and Limoges blue. Some of the colours I listed I could hardly describe other than in watercolour names-hope you can find some inspiration. Have you checked the colours of Fiesta dinnerware, Louis? There are some lovely colours-I have an eclectic collection that is my USA splurge when I visit. Thanks to angelic Loren, I can order Linea from home!
Many thanks, Louis
