……………………..I am praying for all of those who have already been in the path of Hurricane Ian and those that are still waiting for the Hurricane to hit…..As one who literally lives at the water’s edge….I hate to imagine what a 12 foot plus surge of water would do to my home. They are reporting with the high tides the surge will even be higher which means water will reach the second floor of many homes if not higher with the waves…….It’s horrifying……….God Bless all of those in the path of destruction.
I am always amazed at all the trailer homes torn apart in Florida. I think they need some new housing codes to live in that area.
And God bless you, Louis, for thinking about those OTHER than yourself in such a frightening time. Iām not
A chicken (buk, buk, buk!!) but I think itās all that I could do to resist jumping in the car, driving to the safest airport and flying as far away from Ian as I could, and taking as many as I could with me. Iām a person who feels that things, any ThINGS, can be replaced but people cannot.
I think what we need is a long talk with Mother Nature to see just what sheās so upset about. Did we cut too many roads through the rainforests, behave too aloof when elephants tusks were being snatched from their bodies,
fail to set up sufficient butterfly preserves, slaughter too many dolphins in fishing for tuna, dump too many plastic dishes in the ocean, neglect too many oil rigs which led to them vomiting their contents all over her sea life or skin too many buffalo during the days of the Wild West? I think we should have a heart to heart with her before itās too late, and we all end up in the desert.
Cela…..all of the above and so much more. Let’s face it we’re killing this planet, and it’s cleaning us up with fires and droughts and all kinds of disasters…..The planet and insects will go on…..we’ll end up killing ourselves.
