………………………If you are a Yankee fan as I am….or not…..everyone can appreciate that baseball history was made last night. Aaron Judge hit his 61st homerun of the season tying him in first place with Roger Maris……..Roger Maris held the title of the most home runs hit by a baseball player in the American league for 61 YEARS! I can remember when Maris broke Babe Ruth’s record. I was 12 years old…….Judge is still not finished as the season isn’t over and he has more games to play…..hopefully hitting more home runs placing him as the record holder all by himself! He has accomplished so many goals in his baseball journey, and it couldn’t happen to a nicer man!…………..I’m glad he’s a YANKEE!…………CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Louis…..I have not been keeping up with baseball this year. I wish I had been watching the game when Aaron Judge hit his historic homer. You remember Roger Maris homerun history. I remember Hank Aaron hitting #715 in Atlanta early in the season because my Dad made me quit playing with my friends, come inside and sit down in front of the TV and wait for the incredible Mr. Aaron to make basebal history. I have such great memories of seeing my dad reading “the Sporting News” and the sounds of St. Louis Cardinals baseball over the radio on bright sunny Saturday afternoons…..wonderful memories!!
It will be interesting to see Aaron Judge’s career statistics rack up over the next few years. We’ll have to stay tuned!
sunbluesea, I’m sure you can see it on You Tube…it was very exciting.
