…………….For my Oct. group I developed a woven HERRINGBONE TWEED for an elongated jacket, a six gored skirt and a large shawl…….I also developed a coordinating Herringbone Tweed print for a blouse and matching oblong scarf to look like the woven fabric……..The print came in all of the same colors as the woven tweed…..RUBY/IVORY……LAPIS/IVORY…..and BLACK/IVORY……..The original fabric I found had a much smaller herringbone pattern, and optically the colors blended too much, so I asked the mill to enlarge it. They made me several handlooms to choose from, and this is the size I chose. Next to decide the colors!. I thought these colors would be perfect for the Holidays going right into early Spring. I had the dome button made for me using a similar button I used on one of my Anne Klein collections…….To coordinate with the woven tweed I had a coordinating tweed print developed. I basically just sent a swatch of the tweed and the colors to the print mill and told them to copy it. They did a pretty good job, and from a distance you couldn’t tell them apart. I always thought if the print was done in Italy it would have been a perfect match, but then it would have been 10 times the price!
Love these! The black in size 12 is on Postmark right now 🙂
Typo! Poshmark is the word.
