………………………..The Spring Anne Klein Couture Collection of 1992 was very special to me……because it was my LAST spring collection for AK after 20 years of designing and overseeing all aspects of design and advertising…….The photo to the far left is of Christy Turlington in the opening page of my AK Spring 1992 National Ad Campaign…….The unitard and the one button wrap skirt were two key pieces in the collection…….With this collection I wanted to open a dialogue of new possibilities of dressing….knew ways of layering……knew ways to use illusion and transparency and using it as camouflage….Adding an unconstructed and fluid jacket gives the wearer an instant nonchalance…..There is definitely an ‘Air Of India” through out the collection with its’ languid long silhouettes and the iconic gold emb. I hope you enjoy taking this trip back to 1992 with me.

Ahh, I’ll take a trip with you anytime, dear Louis. You know, I see an air of China too, esp. if the skirt was a dress with simple top to it. Skirts, dresses, tug at my heart . Especially your styles Louis. Definitely, they add an air of confidence on ANY occasion!
