I will be on QVC this coming Monday morning at 6am with Pat and Jane, and I will be showing three garments. I will be pairing some of them with sneak peeks of things to come. I have the 1st 2nd and 3rd sells, so I start the show. I will also be on PM Style this Monday night, June 22nd. One of the items I will be showing is this new PONTE KNIT STRIPE DRESS, A235307. First I have to say, this dress is quality from….A TO Z……..The fabric is 67% Polyester, 31% Rayon and 2% Spandex. This is a yarn dye fabric, meaning each color yarn is dyed separately to create a saturated vivid color and then knitted into the fabric. You may ask…..”aren’t all stripes done that way” and the answer is no…..but I won’t get all technical on you, but YARN DYE it the most expensive way to do a stripe. Years ago there was a French company called “Racine Jersey”……They made the most beautiful knit fabrics in the world….the stripes were amazing and they used the finest wools money could buy. Every high end designer wanted their fabric, but they only worked with the best. In the 70s and 80s dresses similar to this one were in every fashion magazine. YSL, Chanel, Dior, Norell, Blass, Oscar etc etc used the Racine jerseys in their collections…….so you might say, this dress has a slight retro look, but today as then it is totally MODERN…………… The dress has a CAP SLEEVE and a JEWEL NECKLINE. The XS measures approx. 39 inches. It has a chemise fit with gentle waist definition. The band pockets are on the diagonal for easy access…….PLEASE NOTE……all of the stripes are MATCHED at the side seam……….. Layering with a turtleneck is a definite option when the SNOW starts to fall!!! The dress is unlined for maximum stretch and total comfort. The color above is ……….COCOA……….It is a combination of a deep Cocoa Brown, Olive and Topaz as the accent…….a wonderful FALL combination of colors…………….The sneak peek TOPAZ SUEDE JACKET, A236138, will be coming in Aug…..I’ll give you all the details then…..I love the suede jacket and dress together……….Your Topaz jacket from last fall will work too……………scroll down for more colors…….enjoy……much Love………….Louis
I know this sneak isn’t supposed to be about the jacket, but you know we’re all drooling over that, too. Can you tell me if the back is knit, like the leather one from last year? I love the knit back jackets for their comfort.
Cherry is for me, but I’m thinking about the blue as well. Is this blue the same as last year’s blue ponte that came in the pencil skirt and the animal print jacket? I think it was called cobalt.

Dear Carol..the suede jacket back is all suede, only the sleeves and stand collar are knit…………….Last years Cobalt, though similar, is darker. The color in the dress is almost exact to the cobalt in the abstract print skirt, A230031, which I will be selling on the 6am show with Pat and Jayne. It happens to be one of my favorite prints and favorite skirts.

Will the Walnut suede jacket work this coloration?
Dear Marta….the walnut is a deep dark rich brown and will work with this and many many other things.
OK,the dress is drop dead gorgeous, and the angled pockets are perfection. I really don’t need another suede jacket, but that little baby is calling my name. Sometimes I really wish that you weren’t so darn talented.

Dear Sherry………The gunmetal hammered ring necklace with the blue beads looks great on the blue dress, and the gold one with the fuchsia looks great on the cherry dress, but I just wanted to highlight the stripe.

OMG!!! The topaz suede jacket is just GORGEOUS! I love the simple style and the zip front. I have the topaz blazer from last fall which I absolutely love. This is a definite GO for me! I know it’s not due until August, but will this suede jacket be in other colors???
