…………………Yesterday I finished binge watching the Ken Burns series on Country Music……..I had seen it when it first came out, but there was so much I had forgotten……The detail and the depth of each story is so gripping…..The sadness and the tragedy pulls at the heart strings…….You forget the different genres of music that share the umbrella of “Country”, and how it came to be…..I have seen all of the Ken Burns series that he has produced, but there is so much to take in, so much detail that I have forgotten much of it…..I am grateful that I can stream them on Amazon Prime, and watch them over and over again….If you haven’t seen this film on the story of “Country Music” it is well worth watching, and if you have seen it it is well worth watching again and again………….Ken Burns is a national treasure, a great historian, and a master story teller both verbally and visually.
Thank you Louis for this recommendation.
I heartily agree with all that you said, Louis. The series “Country Music” made me change my thoughts about that genre. Everything Ken Burns does is done with excellence. The “Civil War” still blows me away. Many of his series are also available on PBS Passport, if one is a member of PBS.
