SPRUCE GREEN is the first color I am presenting the OTTOMAN suit in.This is one of my favorite colors. I have chosen to accessorize the SPRUCE GREEN suit with the new VIOLET WK TURTLENECK and my new PURPLE PEARLS, but there are many colors that will work beautifully with the Spruce Green….depending on your mood……Grey, ivory, navy and espresso are classic….. topaz, wine, spice, orange, nectarine, cranberry, aubergine, and camel will add that autumnal and Town & Country look……..ruby, fuchsia, violet and lapis add that dash of unexpected COLOR! If you are VERY daring try colors like LIME, AQUA, HOT PINK….the Fiesta colors can look very editorial mixed with the right accessories……There are many many more color that will be wonderful mixed with your SPRUCE GREEN separates………….For that head to toe look, wear a pair of matching or at least “blending tights”………….HUE always has a good range of colors, but keep your eyes open, you may find great colors in the most unexpected places. Last year Jac and I were in Target and they had colors I hadn’t seen before….it’s always good to pick these things up when they are avail……..you never know when you will need them…………enjoy……………much Love…………..Louis

I love this jacket, my most favorite of yours from last year was the riding jacket! I would like to know if this jacket is as fitted as the riding jacket? In your seamed wool boule and the zipper jackets I am an XS. In the riding jacket I needed a S. also, is the length the same as the riding jacket?
While looking at the sneak peak with the bags, I spy another jacket with 4 pockets and an asymmetrical zipper. How long is that one?

Dear Lianne, I’m not sure which jacket you are referring to as “riding” the A number would help. The only riding jacket that comes to mind is the red or tan jackets with the contrast collars, and they were at least two years ago. From what you have said, I would definitely recommend getting the ottoman in your xs size. The other jacket is approx 26 inches in the xs.

I, too, am a green lover and your ‘spruce’ green is the BEST! Given that different years and fabrics will dye differently, I’m wondering how this spruce ottoman jacket might work with the every needle rib knit wool/acrylic pencil skirt in spruce from a few years ago, and whether last year’s spruce ‘shabby chic’ cardi with the velvet trim will coordinate with the ottoman skirt? I was lucky enough to get the spruce moto jacket in suede last year (my size wasn’t destroyed, thank heavens) but I’m trying real hard to tell myself that that one is enough now that your suede/knit jacket is a reality. Is two spruce green suede jackets too many? LOL!
Dear Susie the other colors are so rich…if you already have the spruce green I think you should go for the walnut or topaz….they are gorgeous.
Now that we see all the WK sweaters in violet I want to know if they are all the same color and will go with the short violet skirt? Also do you think the V would work with the shape of the skirt. I know the T does.
Also, there is a cardigan with a mosaic print that has one with purple in it. Do you think that would work? I never wore purples until I saw yours and I know they are hard to match.
Dear Andrea………ALL of the VIOLET Whisper Knit sweaters including the WK pencil skirt are the EXACT same color…..that is the advantage of buying the matching pieces within the same season. If the color is repeated next year from a new dye bath, then the possibilities of there being a difference id greater. Foe example, the walnut this year came out a little darker than last year, but this season it ALL the new WK colors will match each other.
I’m hoping to pair this jacket with your spruce boucle skirt with the chiffon godets. Glad I got the green pearls while I could!

Louis– You sneaky genius! You KNOW that anything in Spruce Green has to wing its way to my closet! I’ve already ordered the new Emerald in the WK pencil skirt and the WK drape front cardigan. So now I have to have this old favorite shade of Linea Spruce in a new style! And I do recall– and still wear– your oldie but goodie green suede jacket with the violet applique/inserts– so here we are recycling Linea green with violet accents! Just shows the genius of the designer: even things that are a decade old work beautifully with new, updated, fresh pieces.
