shabby chic7

The second color being offered in the ZIP FRONT LEATHER JACKET is RUBY RED……………..I’m really not sure if they are calling it RED or RUBY….but there is only one RED. The one way zipper on the red jacket is GOLD and works perfectly with all of my RED LINEA JEWELRY…………..Above I have the jacket with BLACK pants and RED, both being sold on this show….no petites this time around. I also have the red jacket and pant teamed up with the new RUBY SEQUIN SHELL….sneak peek coming………..For all out GLAMOR……….You could even wear the sequin top with the jacket and the RUBY SEQUIN SKIRT…………..Everyone should have a RED jacket in their wardrobes and why not make it leather,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,enjoy………..much Love…………………….Louis

GTH (Go to Have) because there’s nothing sexier, except maybe a matching sports car.

This red leather looks yummy! Will I be able to turn up the sleeves as I so often can do with your jackets? (ie Is there enough leather inside the sleeve bottom so that the lining doesn’t show?) At 5’2″ my arms just aren’t as long as your taller Linea ladies, and I so appreciate being able to just turn up a sleeve rather than alter a leather jacket.

Dear Yvette….if the sleeve needs shortening this is what I would do. I would turn the sleeve under to the length you want and have a tailor just top stitch across the leather area leaving the knit un-stitched so it still has stretch. This would be a very easy alteration and the result would look good. If you just turn the sleeve up like a cuff there is only an inch hem of leather before the lining shows

Thanks, Louis! I never would have thought to just stitch the leather. Great idea. Whenever QVC posts the measurements I plan to compare the arm length to other jackets I already own. I don’t always need to shorten, just sometimes. Whatever the arm length may be, that red leather is just calling to me.

Do I see a new necklace and earrings???

I’ll keep my fingers crossed and maybe we’ll see them later on down the road.

No, unfortunately I don’t but it’s a good idea. We always worry about see through and I hate to line knits.

Hi Louis, Red is luscious! Would you say the fit is more like the leather jacket that comes in wine, tarragon and black or more like this season’s suede jackets with the rib knit sleeves and collar? I’m a little nervous about sizing — the black leather jacket fit fine in my regular Linea plus size but I had to size up in the suede. Don’t want to go thru all the angst of going on wait list if I choose the wrong size again! Also, are the lengths similar to these? Many thanks. Jane

Would it be possible for Jac to do a try-on of the 3 different leather/suede jackets for a comparison? Please…

Dear Sherry….I had Jac try on the new leather jacket A238539 and the suede zip front A236138, because they are a better comparison. The blazer being a notch collar and a three front would not give any info about fit one to the other. Both jacket are size xs and Jac said they fit the same. They are close to the body shapes, but she did not feel they were tight. She liked the way they fit. She is a 34A. The shoulders were narrow for her but she has very broad shoulders, and thought for a production xs they were probably correct. The leather jacket is shorter than the suede by about 1″ to 1 1/2 inches. This should not be a big jacket on you…..it should skim the body. Also the suede jacket has all knit sleeves and the leather is only partial knit so the feel is different, but the fit is the same.

Many thanks to you and Jac for the fitting information. I was all set to order the black jacket and then the ruby/red jacket appeared….the red is so drawing my attention.
