“THE FOREST GREEN ZIP FRONT LEATHER JACKET”

bow blouse

The FOREST GREEN LEATHER JACKET is for my outdoor gals…..It definitely has that woodsy, casual weekend vibe. I have it shown above with the CARAMEL WK TN which many of you own, but there are lots of colors you can wear this with….practically any color you own…….ATTENTION………QVC may be calling this MALACHITE, so I don’t want you to be confused…….It is definitely not the Malachite color…………..this jacket and color can fit into anyone’s lifestyle, and can be worn both for your casual life and more dressed up life. Just change the jeans to a WK pencil skirt, and you’re all set…..you don’t even have to change your accessories!……..Remember, leather gets better with age…….it just becomes softer and softer the more you wear it……………………………………………………..enjoy…………………………..much love…………………..Louis

Louis, well you really remembered us ‘greenies’ on this one! I already have last year’s leather and knit jacket in the lighter tarragon shade, but this one is coming to my closet! Just a shading question: Is this the ‘forest green’ shade you did quite a number of years ago (including a suede topper coat)or is it really more like the ‘spruce’ shade of more recent vintage? I’ve got every shade of your green in my closet but just trying to figure out which pieces would be a good ‘match’ to the new leather/knit forest green piece?– blinddogs

Hi blinddogs…..here’s the low down on the color….it’s not nearly as blue green as the spruce and no where near as yellow as the Tarragon. I looked at it next to the forest green ponte from a few years ago and the ponte is yellower…..I would not suggest them together………actually I don’t think I have anything quite this color….it’s a true forest green…That’s why I like it with contrast colors.

    Louis,
I have all three toppers but, of course, this fall is the warmest we have had so I stare at them every day, waiting for the cool air to come! I’ve had many a leather jacket/coat over the years and sold or gave them away last year. I always felt they were restrictive so went up a size and then I was swimming in them.

Of course, designing these jackets the way you did is just what I have been waiting for. Green was my favorite color as a child and now I have rediscovered it in so many wonderful shades. This forest green is coming home to me! Thanks again for these lovely and classic clothes. Now, I just need it to get COLD in Georgia!!!

    Blessings, Fran

Watch out for what you wish for! With this crazy weather you can have a blizzard!

What a luscious shade of green. If I didn’t have this in the tarragon, I would snap this one up. Which leads me to wonder…the tarragon leather and knit jacket has been available all year in all sizes. Why would the buyer at the Q reorder this instead of a brown leather mix jacket? I also wondered why none of the tweed pieces were ordered in walnut and ivory. I’m sure you presented them with those choices. I would have loved the flippy skirt and the shawl in brown to go with my topaz wool, or brown suede, and Bordeaux or tarragon or wine jackets, or with a worn, denim jacket, or a big, cuddly, fisherman’s sweater from Talbots, tights, and my short, lace up boots. Ah, such is life.

Thank you for your extraordinary talents and for sharing them with us, despite some of the roadblocks inherent in the garment business. Not a day goes by that I don’t wear at least one piece of Linea and that my husband does NOT compliment me.

Oh Lord, here we go again! I sure hope you have a lot of these in every color. I just can’t take the instant stampede and sellout…and God forbid…the website crashing!!!
