How frustrating to be “laid up” and not have use of your hand! Time to catch up on some great movies. Hope you have Netflix.
Tell Jac we feel her pain! LOL Husbands always make the worst patients. Fortunately, they have their redeeming qualities, too.

Louis: Sometimes the waiting for surgery is the worst part. The beauty of today’s anesthetics is that they not only allow you to “sleep” during your surgery, but they are usually free of any negative side effects once you awake. I am sure that you have a wonderful surgeon and will receive the best of care. I will keep you and Jac in my prayers tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. Believe me…toughing pain out is not my thing! GIVE ME THE MEDS!
The nurse told me I will have a block in my shoulder and arm, so the minute I can feel my finger tips…..start the pain killers…..thanks Chris….now I know who to go to for medical advise…LOL…..Louis

Best wishes to you today on your surgery and maybe Jac can take one of your pain pills just in case you are a pain! Just kidding! I know Jac will take good care of you today!!:)

One important thing– don’t wait until you have very definite pain before taking the pills. You want to keep the level of pain at a manageable level(to be able to move around and the edge off of the pain.) Take for the 1st 24 hours round the clock the pain pills at the directed times your doctor has prescribed. Believe me, as a former RN, I had numerous times when I worked convincing patients that being stoic and non complaining is not a good thing and you don’t have to ‘tough it out’ post surgery. Take the pain meds and you will recuperate faster.
