The….TWIG TANK, A232345….&….SHRUG, A232520……reorder is in and avail. for purchasing……………I know many of you NATURALISTS have been wondering and guessing exactly what a “twig” looks like……guess no more. For me it is the perfect NEUTRAL color, and if you love your neutral colors….this is a MUST HAVE. I would call it a WARM MED. TAUPE……Both of these items have been reordered, and by now I think you understand what it takes for a garment to get passed as a reorder……..the stars have to be all lined up just so to meet reorder requirements by the REORDER PTB at QVC. It is a separate group, not the buyers, who analyze each piece and make that decision…………….These two pieces passed with FLYING COLORS!…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
I have done many tanks over the last 14 years that I have been with QVC, and many many more during my career. I’m sure many of you already own quite a few…….So what makes this one different?………….First, it’s the longer length that so many of you have gravitated to. Since it is now not only acceptable, but fashionable to wear layering pieces longer than jackets etc. etc……this tank has added another dimension and “look” to your wardrobes. Even my petite ladies can, and love , this longer length. It is perfect with dress pants, leggings, crops, Capri and even shorts, which will be coming this summer. Pairing it with a pencil skirt or long skirt gives you another way to look, and depending on the fabric of the skirts [from denim to georgette], and the accessories you choose……………this tank can be worn for any occasion………The second special thing about this tank is the WAIST WHITTLING RIBS which are very slenderizing. Does this sound like a contradiction?? Ribs and slenderizing……….well it works and this is why. In the WK the ribs are not CHUNKY or tight and restricting….they glide and stretch over the body giving the illusion of shape due to the vertical lines they create. Yes,they will hold you in slightly, but certainly not like a girdle….more like a Spanx……which smooth out lumps and bumps….however, if you are new to this tank….don’t expect miracles…LOL………….. The tank has 22 reviews and 22 out of 22 recommend buying this tank………I would say that’s a pretty good recommendation!…………………………………..
…………..The shrug is a wonderful ACCESSORY piece and was meant to serve one purpose………….TO COVER THE ARMS…..There are many garments that are WRONGLY called shrugs…..The one I am offering to you is a MODIFIED shrug. If you are interested to know what a REAL SHRUG looks like I would invite you to look at A234415, my FEATHER JERSEY SHRUG. Some may argue that is not a shrug as they know it. As a designer who has been in the business for more years than I wish to count…… has studied design, and who has combed through the costume departments of museums all over the word……….there is no discussion about what a true shrug is. I am just as guilty as the next at calling garments shrugs that really are not….they may be cropped sweaters with sleeves, or cut away sweaters as the one above with sleeves, but a TRUE SHRUG was designed to……… COVERS THE ARMS ONLY. Geoffery Beene, one of America’s greatest designers, created some of the most incredible SHRUGS I have ever seen…..and they WERE true shrugs……….OK, the shrug lesson is over…LOL What I am bringing back to you is my modified shrug that serves many purposes. Of course it is perfect worn with the matching tank, but on it’s own it can be worn over many sleeveless or cap sleeve tops and dresses. It is easy to pack away in your tote and after a day in the warm sun, you can pull it out when an evening chill comes in….or it becomes essential when entering an air conditioned building. It can certainly be worn for the office or dressier occasions as well as with a pair of jeans. They are season-less and great for travel, and they take absolutely no room in your luggage………….Ladies, shrugs are not meant or designer to COVER the bust. Obviously, if you are self conscious about this, a shrug may not be for you, but I honestly don’t think when you are wearing a MATCHING tank and shrug….it emphasizes your size…….if you haven’t tried THIS one……maybe it’s time………………………………..

I will also be showing the matching PEARL STUD EARRINGS, J287991, which comes in a THREE PACK called “SOPHISTICATED”…..I didn’t name them….LOL………….I will also be showing this outfit with my DRIFTWOOD, IVORY and MOCHA MIST PEARL BRACELETS, J297998, also being sold as a three pack, again called “SOPHISTICATED”…..The Ivory is in a separate pack…….Included in the pack with the Driftwood and Mocha Mist is….. Oh, clever man LOL … you wait till the day AFTER I order Mocha Mist pearls, and then show me TWIG … LOVE IT … with Natural Linen … LOVE IT … and Driftwood Pearls … LOVE IT! So yesterday’s order was Mocha Mist Pearls and Clear Faceted Beads; tonight’s order will be Driftwood Pearls, with TWIG in my future 🙂

Dear Cathy….though the Driftwood pearls are a better match to the Twig….the Mocha Mist will work also….so unless you really want both and would even wear them together, you really don’t have to buy both….unless you really want to. I have to say I love them both even if they are in the same family…..that’s why they look good worn together.
LOL, I DO … LOVE them BOTH! I’m not usually a big fan of taupe shades; not my best colors. But natural linen, oh YES. And there’s something about the depth of interest in this new mix of linen and Twig worn together, accented with Mocha Mist and/or Driftwood … that’s CALLING ME! I can see these refreshed for fall mixed with autumn accent colors like pumpkin or spruce or fir greens, deep aquamarine blues too. THANKS Louis 🙂

No….this is it for Twig WK, however there will be other things in Twig that these sweaters will work with.
Now I can’t WAIT to see what else is coming in Twig 🙂 I think next season we’ll need a V or Scoop neck WK sweater, long or 3/4 sleeve … and maybe a cardigan of some type … this will be a great neutral to mix with so many things, and for so many different seasone.

Dear Waterbaby….they look great together. The taupe of the boyfriend sweater is VERY close to the natural linen pant in the photo.
