Good Morning all!

I just wanted to let you know Jac and I read your comments and we thank you once again for your support and caring. The major problem I had yesterday during the show was coming to the conclusion that something was wrong with Jac. Knowing her, and working with her, I know she would never miss a change let alone two……..something had to be wrong that was out of her control. I never thought for one moment the trouble was a change made during the show that caused utter chaos and confusion…..I almost left the set until finally Angela, and Chantal came out and I went over to them, covered the mike and asked if Jac was OK. They assured me she was….that’s all I cared about…………….the good news is that NY and CT never got the snow storm that was predicted and we got home without any trouble. The girls were so happy to see us.

Louis, I was sorry to hear that the show was such a disaster in your estimation after all the hard work you put into EACH presentation….and then to have it all put asunder. I watched the show and enjoyed your beautiful clothes and accessories as always, but I do remember your remark.”Are the models on strike?” and thinking something must have happened. It has to be upsetting for both you and Jac, but I hope you can put it behind you….and hope that it NEVER happens again. I LOVE your shows and look forward to them all.

Dear Sallie….It is upsetting when you plan and plan and check it 4 or 5 times to make sure it’s perfect and them because of someones stupid decision DURING the show to make a change and create chaos, it is very frustrating, especially hen I’m out front and at that point helpless….but…………..on to the next!

    Louis and Jac,

The important thing is that everyone is OK! Hopefully someone learned a lesson over the ‘mishap’ whatever it was that changed the flow of your Show.

I usually make my decisions and purchase my Items as they get posted – then I can relax and enjoy the Show. It is amazing the most Linea Ladies sensed that something was not according to plan!

You both are – I have said this before – Simply The Best!

I too watched the show and noticed the awkward result of what ever happened behind the scenes. Saying that, I realize it is live Tv and thought everyone was professional in handling the situation. i know it was tough on you Louis not knowing what was going on. If it makes you feel any better, I bought the blue and white top, denim jacket, and three lace tops! And, my fish necklace should arrive tomorrow. Nothing can stop the Linea girls !

Thank you and Jac so much for the explaination, although certainly no apology is needed.
It must have been quite distressing to see things fall apart, knowing how much work and dedication you both put into it. I think we have all had days like that!
I hope you and Jac can rest, put it behind you and know we are looking forward to your next shows without the needless drama.
Things may have been amiss backstage but thanks to your blog I was able to place a large order.
I already recieved the new cotton/span leggings, the taupe hydranga print, and I’m expecting the lace items, the white denim jacket, the new jersey tops and skirts and the white/blue vase print top (I own a good deal of Delft and Spode also).
    Hugs to both of you-
    Judi

I hope YOU know how much we love you and Jac. Need to proofread my comment before I send it. 🙂

    Louis,

I hope yup know how much we love both you and Jac.

It was very thoughtful of Jac to let people know what the problem was with the show, but clearly, it was much worse on your end than ours. I think most of us just chalked it up to the weather & your having to deal with the “B team” backstage as a result or something of the kind. You & Antoinella handled it like pros, & while it sure would have been lovely to see all the ensembles presented the way you coordinated them to be shown, stuff happens. I think we’re all just glad that there wasn’t anything REALLY wrong with Jac.
    Thanks for all you do.

Ditto…as long as nothing was wrong…the show must go on…and the Linea Ladies will buy.

    Dear Louis,

Please give Jac a big hug for me.

I’m so happy to know that you and Jac are okay. Your shows are so well prepared and the best that can be seen on QVC so when they mess with one we had to notice. Nonetheless I was still thrilled to see your fashions in motion. Everything was beautiful as usual.

I know you will let us know, if and when the Q lets you know, about the OLO denim pieces. As you said, one of our observant Linea ladies will see them first and post the news on both websites. Just hope I’m awake!

Glad everyone is all right. And you know what? When I’m flaunting my BEAUTIFUL new clothes from you, nobody will know there was trouble backstage when they were presented. Your customers will be happy because the products are wonderful. Can’t wait to get all my things (although I’m dreading the bill as I bought WAY too much. Of course.)and I know I will look every bit as wonderful as the models – even as a 43 year old mother of two! Off days happen – lucky for QVC you two are pros. Blessings to you all and thank you again for my incredibly beautiful clothes! I’m so excited I was able to get everything before any items went on waitlist. Hooray!

Hi Louis, this is my first time writing on your site; but I am a long time buyer the problem is I want everything. I just received my very first anorak jacket in the charcoal color as I wrote in my review on QVC I feel and look like a model the tailoring is just impeccable, I can’t wait for the weather to warm up in NYC so that I can rock it. Everything that I have purchased from your line is just beautiful; I love colors and your use of them is just beautiful I always get compliments. I am so looking forward to your new items you are such a breathe of fresh air!

Louis, I read Jac’s comments on Facebook and felt so awful for you both. It was obvious watching the show that something was amiss backstage, since your presentations are always choreographed so perfectly– like a George Balanchine ballet!

Please know that your Ladies are with you and Jac, in good times and bad, and through all the havoc of the Q, snowstorms, hurricanes, power outages and all the other trials you have had to endure at the hands of QVC in recent years. I do hope that the brass at the Q disciplines the individual responsible for this mess.

Your models are pros and can handle a quick change, especially since you have “choreographed” their performances so perfectly, with drawings, accessory bags, etc. in advance. How dare some backstage non-designer amateur tamper with your well planned prsentation! (Like letting a breakdancer try to partner Gelsey Kirkland or Suzanne Farrell in Swan Lake!) — Blinddogs

I didn’t get to see all the shows because we were “lucky” enough to get snow/ice/sleet.I had already ordered what I wanted before the shows. I can understand how concerned you were when Jac wasn’t modeling as expected.Hopefully the next show won’t have any such changes at the last moment. By the way, I do not want to see any more winter weather. This Southern girl needs warmth and sunshine badly!!

    Dear Louis and Jac,

All that’s really important to us is that you and Jac are okay … the rest will fall into line 🙂 It was very clear to your regular watchers that the problem was Q’s and behind the scenes, and would not have been obvious at all to a casual viewer as you all covered so well. Thank heavens we have you and Jac here on this blog, and all the wonderful photos and conversations to help us! My Navy/Indigo lace pieces are on order. Take a little rest break, hug each other, and a new day begins again. THANKS to you both for letting us know you’re okay.

Louis – Glad to hear everyone is well. I enjoyed the show and your beautiful
designs like always. Looking forward to the palm frond necklace. LOVE,LOVE
your things. You and Jac are the definition of class.

  16. DeLois

Louis the show was very enjoyable even though it was obvious that something was not quite right. I would like to ask when the denim dress will be for sale. The website says Sold Out……… have all the orders been taken or is it still to be posted???? Would appreciate knowing the answer to this as I check everyday.

  17. Ladydi

Thank you for the update. I am a long time customer and never miss a show. Did notice a problem yesterday and glad everything is fine.

  18. Sheesh

Good morning, Louis. I posted last night on the Ask Louis page, but I wanted to pop in this AM and ask if you think it is possible that you can present the Lace pieces “again” on the March 27th show? We’d all love to see them shown on the models as you had planned. I think the Q owes you an extra item in your March 27 show. Thanks.

    All the best, Sheila

Louis, knew there was a problem when you grabbed the boho skirts and went directly to the runway and the models. The runway was off but it did not prevent us from seeing your designs. I felt so bad for you and for Jac because I know all the planning and effort you put into your shows, right down to the smallest detail. The chaos that was created was beyond your control, all off camera and backstage. It is a lack of professionalism on QVC’s part, not yours or Jac’s. Poor Antonella was out of her element which I am sure made it difficult as well. I assume with all the snow and bad weather, scheduling of hosts became a problem. I think she tried her best but her expertise is truly jewelry. The blame is on QVC and not on Linea.

  20. Goldie76

I am glad all ended well, Jac and Louis. Despite everything, we at home saw the beautiful fashions “live” and were able to see you both in action.

Louis, as a fellow Leo (teasing what I can from that ’60s perspective of the world), do know that my day yesterday was rotten, too. Let’s blame the stars above when everything seems to go crazy and beyond our control. Sometimes “crazy” happens.

    My best to you both.

    Dear Jac and Louis,

Thank you both for your explanations of what went wrong with yesterday’s show; as a long time Linea Lady I was concerned.

I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you I appreciate so much the effort you put into all your shows. Loving fashion the way I do, I always look forward to your shows. Please don’t fret about yesterday.
