The CHILI PEPPER SHIRT/JACKET, A254440, and the CHILI PEPPER SKIRT, A254441, are both made in my super light weight cotton…….if you own it, and have worn it you know just how incredibly comfortable, cool and light weight it is…as if you are wearing nothing . I know those of you who live in the hottest most humid areas of the county have come to appreciate just how comfortable this fabric is…..Some have said it’s too thin therefore it must be cheap. That is definitely not the case, but I am not here to argue their opinions, and if it is not to their liking….then it’s not for them…..I only want to please, and if you find value in this fabric I am happy. I have used this fabric once again for a new two color print. It is an IKAT PRINT and the color above is CHILI PEPPER & BLACK. There are two styles that you can choose from….The SHIRT/JACKET and the slightly A-Line pull-on skirt……The top is meant to be worn either as a blouse or a very light jacket. For a blouse the buttons are positioned so there is no need to wear any thing under it. There is a notch in the jacket to create a collar, the sleeves are 3/4 length and the jacket has side slits. There are PRINCESS SEAMS front and back for a body skimming shape. This is NOT a boxy shirt/jacket or there would be no seams at all. There are snap out shoulder pads for those who need a little LIFT. It is approx 22 1/2 inches long for the xs….yes it is decidedly short…one could even say CROPPED. It would be the perfect length to wear with a longer tank if you like the layered look…. Personally…I do….. especially in these colors of CHILI PEPPER….BLACK and WHITE. ALL of your Chili Pepper separates that you have collected work beautifully with these two new accent pieces….which were deliberately created to work with all of your solid pieces. Your ENR tanks, A253408 in WHITE, BLACK and CHILI PEPPER, your Boho skirts in white, black and chili pepper….you crinkle georgette safari shirts in the same three colors….The new COTTON SATEEN CROP PANT & BLAZER…..your PONTE KNIT unlined jacket in the WHITE, BLACK and CHILI PEPPER………..and your wonderful CHILI PEPPER & BLACK LINEN BLEND PANT & JACKET all work to mix with these marvelous prints……..Something that I especially love is the BLACK & WHITE STRIPED WK SWEATER with the black cotton sateen blazer or the chili pepper linen jacket and the print skirt….it’s a fabulous unexpected combination!…..I have now offered you a complete wardrobe in Chili Pepper, Black and White…….Wear the shirt belted or loose….it’s up to you. If you love these deep rich colors as I do, I know you will fall in love with these beautifully executed and always EXCLUSIVE prints……To say they are chic and sophisticated truly is an understatement….They are worthy of being in any boutique or upscale designer store……The skirt is done simply. It has a slight A-line silhouette that works well with the shirt/jacket for a suited look or on its own. It has a smooth flat front with side front elastic gores, but the entire back has elastic. Of course it is UNLINED for total comfort…..Again, it’s like wearing nothing….just what you want when it’s 100 degrees in the shade…..and some parts of the country are already there and it’s only MAY!!!!! The skirt is approx. 22 1/2 inches long, and that’s measured from the bottom of the waist band to the hem………………During the hot months ahead, I know these pieces will be very much welcomed………………………………………..scroll down…………………………
…………………………………………………………………………..enjoy…………………………………………..much Love………………………………………….Louis
OUTSTANDING in every way! You never cease to amaze. Both colorways are fantastic. If needed can the skirt be taken in easily on the side seams? Please ask Jac how the skirt is fitting. I ordered the S for my 38.5″ hips, but it looks like the XS would be a better fit in the hips but the waist only goes from 27″-36″ for a pull-on skirt. Thank you.

Sorry about the double post!
I believe this skirt has a side zip, but they are packed for the show so I can’t check. I may have made reference to it in the description of the skirt .
Thank you Louis, I appreciate your reply and know that you are busy preparing for your trip and upcoming presentations. I did check both your description and the one on QVC and they both say pull-on skirt. Thank you for your effort. I can hardly wait to see you and Jac on Friday with all of your goodies!
Hi Louis – Wow! Great designs for this upcoming show. I saw that you paired the chili pepper animal print top with the chili pepper skirt. Along that same type of thinking, would this jacket in chili pepper work over my chili pepper python print dress? (Loving all the combinations that you’re suggesting above!)
Susan
Dear Susan…I no longer have that sample, but the colors were very similar to the cheetah top so I would venture to say…yes.
I love the idea of the stripe sweater and even BOTH ikat pieces, and your black beads for a third pattern. Can’t wait, for these, AND that genius body suit!!!!!
What a necessity for the denim pants.
FYI – This Shirt/Jacket & Skirt have been posted on the Q – available for ordering!
I am a HUGE fan of this fabric, and this combination of Chili Pepper and Black is stunnine!
I love everything about this jacket…the colors, the fabric, the print, the tailoring, that COLLAR! Louis, every time I think that I couldn’t possibly be tempted to buy another thing, I’m astonished by the lovely pieces you present. I especially love your jackets….perfection. Can’t wait to order this and the sateen pieces!
Louis,
Love your Ikat Prints! I also Love the Cotton Fabric you use! Both of these Shirt/Jackets are on my List (I believe the Pebble Crepe Crop Pant will be available in Black and Coffee Bean). This Skirt is too short for me – but will purchase the Blue/Black Ikat Print Skirt and Tunic Top you previewed earlier!
Look forward to watching your Show on Friday!
