“To skort or not to skort”

Thanks everyone for helping me make my decision. I have decided not to do a skort for the Linea line, but I will have many wonderful things to take it’s place. I’m sorry if I have disappointed some, but it really isn’t me. I think it’s a more appropriate item for the vendors who are doing it already…………………..

I must say, Louis, you were very brave to put this question out for debate. I think you made the right decision—I’m glad you didn’t let QVC talk you into “jumping the shark,” if you know what I mean. Now, maybe if the LPGA wants you to design some golf clothing, well that’s another story…..

    Agreed. Good call.

I thought about the skort issue while you were describing the inspiration for the ikat print, also. You are the master of beautifully fit jackets, dresses, skirts, lovely prints and knits. I’m so glad you decided not to dilute your product!
    S. Graver is a house brand, L. Claiborne is not the original LC, and I can’t imagine what Geo. Simonton was thinking!
I’m looking forward to magnificent offerings for fall, new jewelry, and wouldn’t it be great if you were to bring us some beautiful silk like scarves! I can dream.
    Have a great weekend 🙂

If all the Vendors offer the very same thing??? What’s the point of having different Vendors or Designers making clothing…I think each line should be allowed to do what they do best for their clientele that purchase from them.

We are very fortunate to be able to talk with you and let our desires/wishes be known…Yes, I can email other companies about an item and get a reply (from whom…anybody’s guess), a canned email, barely addressing the request…enough said. Thank you for everything…so happy about the jewelry…LOL.

What vendors are already doing them??? Do you mean Denim & Company?? If so, that’s a real joke. LOL

I was told George S. Susan G and Liz C all have skorts, and i think they are the perfect vendors to offer this kind of item.

Denim & Co has several Skorts.

Skort? Far beneath the Linea line. Active sportswear, not. You might offer the sarong skirt as a sexy compromise, or a cute little wrap? And tell them the gimmick of a two way garment can be replaced with vivid, luxurious colors from the Linea palette.

Good call! I thought about it today as you were explaining your cotton ikat skirt. That is more of a Linia Lady item in hot weather.
