“ENCORE”

Hi all….I hope you had a wonderful and safe weekend…………I have been getting requests to bring back styles from the past that many of you have been enjoying and wish you could get again….so I thought I would put it out to you what styles you would like to see an “encore” of…………….”A” numbers please………………No promises, but I have put the idea out to my buyer and she thinks it’s a great idea. Of course we will have to do some research as to  why it  didn’t get reordered in the first place, but it’s worth taking a look at. I loved the overlay skirt and the dolman sleeve crinkle gorgette top that some of you have inquired about, and I was surprised it didn’t do well enough to be reordered, but maybe it can have a second life?????????????????……….for now let’s keep it to spring/summer items…………much Love…………………Louis

    Hi Louis
Here’s my request for a bring back.
I had a beautiful purple sweater of yours and I think it had the word “ribbon” in the description. Zip front I THINK, had a tucked under ribbon effect on the front. I think it had a v neck.It had the blousier sleeves with fitted wrists. It MAY have been a whisper knit.I didn’t have it that long and that’s why I’m not to sure on the description. Why don’t I still have it, you might ask. WELL, in my sorting clothing, I had made a couple piles of my sweaters, all neatly folded, and I told my hubby to take a certain pile “the one closest to the door”, I said, to donate.
Make sure you take the right pile, I said. Yeah, you guessed it–he took the wrong one. The one that had my favorite purple sweater in.
Since that day I have been in morning. I feel like I have lost a best friend.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shari….I’m sorry to say that won’t be coming back. I agree with you. That was lovely and beautifully made sweater, but it did not sell well so there is no chance of it coming back.

      1. Shari

        One word on that–Bumber!!

        1. Grits

Hello, Louis, I agree with Shari. I absolutely love that sweater, as well. (I have the purple and aqua.) The neckline is perfection and I love the three-quarter sleeves. Perhaps you will consider creating a plain version in whisper knit that replicates the super-fabulous cut of this sweater in a whisper knit?

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Grits….I agree with both of you. I though it was beautifully made and looked like an expensive import sweater, but it did not sell well so there is no way I could bring it back….but I will look at the body for a new solid style without the knit ribbon detail.

            1. Grits

Wonderful, Louis; and thank you so much for listening. I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

  2. Debbie M.

Thought of another favorite. The convertible cargo pant. LOVE

    1. Debra

      Dear Louis,

I love the “encore” concept! Thanks for asking.

I prefer summer darks or deep, saturated jewel tones in the following:

A223660 – WK bolero (really need olive, navy, and dark brown, etc)!

A213617 – Robyn Shirt (really NEED black, olive, and dark brown, etc)!

A203505 – Lined topper – long blazer – needed with all the slim leg pants we are enjoying. (solid colors – deeper cuff vent to roll and unroll according to season. IMPORTANT TO KEEP the VENT please).

A86579 – Ponte sequin top (sans the sequins/keep the wonderful length and 3/4 sleeve please).

      A222262 – Floral maxi – black/ivory, navy/ivory, dark brown/ivory, saturated jewel tones/ivory

      Thanks again!
      Deb

    Here’s my dream list:

A9415 – short sleeve blouse with tank – in the same fabric as before (I would not buy if manufactured in polyester georgette.)

A89341 – stand collar stretch cotton jacket – in navy, black, and other fashion colors

A219799 – python print wrap blouse – executed in the same fabric as A232517/A232518, the striped pieces from the Spring 2013 collection, but done in a collection of heathered solids – seafoam heather, dreamsicle orange heather, raspberry/vanilla sherbet heather, vanilla/chocolate toffee heather, and vanilla/licorice heather (like ice cream that has been blended with black licorice bits).

A223660 – crew neck elbow sleeve cropped bolero – in black, navy, and spring fashion colors

A232517 – striped knit long skirt w/ elastic waist – executed in the same heathered solids as requested for the python print top
    AND
A232518 – extend shoulder knit v-neck stripe top
(With the new wrap top, extend shoulder top, and skirt we could have a complete ensemble for the early and later weeks of the spring/summer season.)

A232345 – whisper knit rib trim tank – in navy and other fashion colors

A232520 – whisper knit rib trim bolero – in navy and other fashion colors

A232513 – the “Phoenix print” blouse – executed in the same fabric, done in a small (compressed) digital camo in shades to coordinate with A219799/A232517/A232518

And a full foldover (not mock) sleeveless turtleneck in whisper knit, with waist whittling bottom!

Whew! Was that specific enough? 

    Hi

Sorry to be late to the party but have been on travel for work without good wifi and working way too many hours.

I would really like to see A223660 come back. It is a short sleeve cardigan with a cropped length. I find most of the cardigans are too long and this one is great as a cover for dresses and tanks. I have it in black and reef green. I think the reason it didn’t do better was it wasn’t the basic color set. I would love it in Navy, White, Dark Brown, Dark Gray i.e. colors that would work with many colors of tanks and/or dresses for spring/summer/fall.

    Thank you for asking

    Laura

  5. judy

Louis, I wear A214879 pants with the industrial zippers and rollup bottoms in white and khaki all summer. Bought only one of each color and would like to have two more of each color and a blue color (between aqua and turquoise).

  6. Marie

Any Linea nice pants in TALL. I have the tall back zip pants from quite a few years ago in navy and camel and the later front zip tall pants in black, navy and ivory. These well loved and well used pants are nearing replacement time and there are no comparable pants available. Linea TALL were actually tall and are wardrobe basics. If QVC allows petites, why not talls? Please keep trying. ClassicMs.

  7. Dana

Missed out on getting the navy WK boyfriend cardigan A251578 (more navy with the matching coordinates). Also read a review stating they bought the grey, did I miss that? Would love grey too. This cardigan has a five star rating and 50 reviews. I know other colors are still available, just not the best choices for me.

    1. Marie

I do not have an A # either but would love to see this tunic back: 3/4 sleeves, ponte knit ,has two zippers on the front ,one in a V shape that’s purely for show the other functioning. I have this in teal and wear it often…. It washes really well, have not had ANY problems with the zippers..

      Thank you,

  8. Lilly (LGT)

Don’t have an A number, but I have two pairs of linen crop pants with a back zipper. I love these pants soooo much that I had them altered from a size 2x to a size 12. My tailor basically used the pants as fabric but was able to replicate the pants. I have them in black and natural, would love more colors and real linen.

  9. Nancy (aka Smilesalot)

ANY Feather Knit…I adore this fabric and didn’t get as much as I really wanted!
Especially the tank.. that .. in loads of other colors would make me thrilled~
Thanks so much for asking us!

    1. Grace

YES! I agree! Love anything feather jersey, but especially the maxi skirts, which I wear constantly. Packed them for London & Dublin this summer & now they are going on a business trip to NYC this week. I have navy & grey–would love it in black, cinnamon and pewter. Missed out on the pants, so would love to see them back in stock too, along with the matching tanks.

      1. Belle Femme

Count me in on feather knit, especially in the smoke color. The tank sold out so fast, I wasn’t able to get one. I love this fabric for travel!

  10. Diamondscribe

I would like to see the Stretch Cotton Stand Collar Jacket ( A89341 ) return. Most won’t remember this one because it was years ago, but it is still one of my favorite summer jackets. I have the tangerine and have stalked the taupe for some time. I am babying mine because after so many years wear it is at last starting to show a bit of the wear. I’d love to see this jacket in navy, coffee bean, or chili pepper for summer… or even your sunshine yellow. The fit on this is so flattering. It had only one review that wasn’t a 4-5 star, and that was because the white made her feel like a chef. In tangerine, I never had this association, LOL. I think it was a jacket that everyone liked but just not enough people left reviews. Deborah

  11. Beachbird

Looking at all the responses……Ask and you shall receive!

  12. Leslie

I agree with Romy….Would love to see a reorder for A222262 Floral Print Scoop Neck Maxi Dress. I bought it in the black/cream and the green/cream combo…more colors, please!

  13. Chris/Jazzmom

Would love if the drawstring ponte knit skirt (A233183) could be ‘reordered’ but with a slit in the back!!
Would love if a twig skirt or pant in the same ponte knit could be ‘reordered’.

    1. Kate

      In navy, please.

      1. Pecan Cookie

        Yes – what they said

        1. Rhonda Rena

I wear my black and white drawstring skirt a lot. Navy and olive would be nice.

          1. Grace

Missed out on this skirt and would love to have it back, too! White, black, navy…

  14. Beachbird

I don’t have an A number. But many years ago you did a v neck 3/4 sleeve ribbed pullover sweater in a cotton blend. It came in several colors; I had the pink and green and wore those babies out. They were so comfortable, stylish and fit like a dream. I would love to see an updated version of these.

  15. nikki

    Hello Louis,
I would love A89805 silk chiffon ikat print skirt and top. I would love more prints in this design and cut. I would love it in silk chiffon for those special occasions ( perhaps one item per season in those wonderful fabrics of the past) or just chiffon
and I don’t have the item #, but the 2 tier skirt

    1. Kate

I have this set (in both colors) and love them worn apart and together. I agree that one or two items in a luxury fabric would be nice. I know Posh wasn’t a huge seller, but I do think something in wool or all silk might be.

  16. Romy

I was also wondering if the wind chime earrings would be coming back? Thank you.

  17. Romy

I would love to see A222262, the printed maxi dress with sleeves. QVC had it listed as Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Floral Print Scoop Neck Maxi Dress. I got it in the black and white print but would love to get it in another color or different print. I never see maxi dresses with a bit of a sleeve and this one was perfect. It seems I am not alone because there was 85 five star reviews.

    1. Stacy

I agree with everything this poster said! This is a great dress that can be worn in multiple situations. Love the sleeves and pockets. Would love to see it offered in different patterns. Thanks for asking Louis.

    2. Belle Femme

I have this dress in black and white. I love the fabric, pattern and style. I’d like to see more colors too. Great with pockets!

  18. Maia

The Robyn shirt for us tall women! I don’t have the number because I was only able to get the suede version. Maybe someone can add the number for me.

    1. Diamondscribe

I agree. I like the Kate shirt but LOVE the Robyn shirt!

      1. Grits

        I agree!

    2. Belle Femme

Yes, yes! The Robyn shirt is perfect for my longer torso. The Kate is too short. Please bring back the Robyn.

  19. Kate

Is this in celebration of your milestone QVC anniversary?

      1. Dana

Well Happy Celebration! As long as you are not retiring, I have a whole wardrobe to build.

  20. Penny Laing

A217972. Slim leg pants. I have black, olive and fawn. Would love navy, gray, brown, teal or hunter green. Please use same fabric and sizing . Fit is perfect and the fabric is indestructible- always looks good. I consider these truly year-round.

    1. Julia

YES!!! Please, please, please. Those are the perfect slim leg pants. So flattering! I have black and olive and would love those colors plus navy and gray. I’d buy doubles of each.

  21. Kate

So much of my clothing is in storage but I’ll try to describe what I’d most love to have a shot at once again. It was two pieces in velvet (black and the other choice was deep purple)– a top and a skirt. The top had sheer sleeves with a little ruffle at the shoulder and again at the wrist, and there was a sheer insert at the neckline; the skirt was slim and I think it had either an elastic or zip waist. I think it might have been one of my first Linea purchases. I have no idea where these pieces are and would them again.

  22. designista

    1. Sherry

Yes!!! On the feather jersey pieces that designista listed, AND the pebble crepe pieces as well…great choices!!!

      1. Carol

Definitely the feather jersey maxi skirt, but would really like a tall version. I’ll take the regular, though. I love that fabric. Didn’t get any of the dolman sleeve tops, either. Want those, too

        1. Maia

Yes, the “regular” feather jersey maxi skirt A-233970 in tall. I tried the “regular” and it’s still 3-4 inches too short for me.

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Maia….the request for tall lengths is one I hear often. I am listening, but the buyers, with their budget will not…no….can not buy tall lengths. They simply do not have the money.

            1. Maia

Thank you for replying, Louis. I understand. I’ll continue to buy “regular” lengths that are longer (e.g., 32+ inch pant lengths) that have a 1 1/2 inch or wider hem. I rarely have length problems with your tops!

          2. Grace

LOVE the maxi feather jersey skirt and the regular length is perfect on my tall frame. Hope it returns in black, navy, pewter, cinnamon…

  23. RJ

My all-time favorite Linea item is a tank dress A87445 that I have worn repeatedly through the years. Most recently, Sunday to church. It still looks great, can be casual or dressy, is just timeless, a staple in my wardrobe. I would be jumping up & down delighted to see it return–especially in navy.

    1. Belle Femme

I have that dress in black, blue and red. I’d love it in navy and perfectly pink.

  24. Bubbiem

I would love that overlay skirt in black. I have been looking for one like it since I missed buying yours and, well, there isn’t one. Thank you.

  25. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

A255142 from this year and it’s matching components, skirt and tiered top. I think I could have a closet full of this set in various colors and never run out of ways to cycle them in and out of all of the rest of my wardrobe.

  26. Jules/Ciley

What fun! I’m in California right now so I have no access to item numbers but I second and third the requests for the slim leg pants, which other than the WK pants are my all time favorites. I also have a long black WK dress that is piped in red at the Vee neck and I want to say around the cuffs that I pull out every Christmas. My first holiday picture in this dress goes back probably 12 years and it still looks and feels amazing. I had a red knit dress of yours from around this same time that I actually got stopped by a man once who wanted to know where I got it so he could buy it for his wife. He said “Now that’s a red dress!” lol This is not a “returning” favorite but while we are dreaming how about a black turtleneck long sleeve dress in WK? And last but not least I’m still hoping every season for a weskit of flannel or wool! 🙂
    Jules

    1. Jules/Ciley

Typical me! Didn’t read the last sentence of let’s keep it to Spring/Summer items! LOL

  27. Seka

I don’t have this Dress – but would love to add it to my Linea Collection – A199794 Crinkle Tiered Tank Dress – in Black – and maybe a fabulous Linea Print. It has all 5 Star Reviews.

    1. nikki

I would also love to order this dress-a199794. I don’t have it however it is a beauty and I would order it in a heartbeat.

  28. Jill

I know it’s a long-shot, but my favorite jacket of all time is A210358…in purple. (It’s now available in xs and s only…and I’m thinking about getting a second one just in case something happens to the one I have. That’s how much I love it.) I believe it was previously available in black and spruce. Any chance you could bring it back…in suede or another fabric?

    Many thanks, Louis

  29. Goldie76

Because I never saw it offered, I have no “A” number. But what about the fabulous suit jacket with the faux pearls decorating it? The jacket has a Chanel-like look to it. It came in black and burgundy, I recall reading. The coordinating skirt would be a must-have, of course. I have read nothing but praises for this divine suit. Please send this one our way again.

    1. Grace

Sounds beautiful! I’d definitely be interested.

  30. MH_MN

Two styles of cotton stretch sateen crop pants fit me better than more recent designs, A47327 fly-front cotton sateen crop pants with side elastic and A69922 stretch cotton sateen side-zip crop pants. I am one with a more defined waist and I find that the side elastic makes for a much more comfortable fit for me. Also, both of these styles are just a smidgeon narrower in the thigh and a teeny bit less tapered below the knee than more recent cuts.

  31. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

My all-time favorite pair of pants from you is A217972 – a slim leg pant that came in olive, black and I think fawn. They take 10 lbs off instantly – great fabric too. I would not change a thing (other than I’d like a tall version so I wouldn’t have to hem tape them).

I would also like to see the featherknit pencil skirt (A233969) in dark colors: black, navy, espresso

On the subject of featherknits, a long featherknit pant (A233191) – the one with the flat front waistband: black and dark grey

    1. MH_MN

Another vote for A217972, also my favorite Linea pant, ever! I would buy the original colors again or, I would especially love to buy navy, light or charcoal gray and camel.

    2. Maia

Yes on A-217972 if you can make them 3 inches longer.

    3. Diamondscribe

Count me in on A-217972. I bought 2 of each color (1 petite and 1 reg). If it ever comes back, I’ll be diving in for more than just two of each. This is the ultimate work pant. I can be in meetings all day and look neat enough to go out in the evening from work. Great fabric. Easy care. Love the fit. I know this item was not a spring/summer one, but if it came in lighter colors (or summer darks) I’d be up for those. I want this pant in gray, camel (darker than fawn), coffee bean, Linea navy, ivory, twig…the list goes on.

      1. Sherry

        Ditto on A-217972

        1. Grace

          Double ditto on A-217972

        2. Julia

Me, too! In original colors plus navy, grey, camel. I love navy in the spring for a nautical look.

  32. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

I missed out on A255123, your double layer tank. I would like it in black & white.

    Thanks,
    Dariann

  33. Debbie M.

I do not have the item number handy right now but the side zip brushed cotton crop pants are my favorite.

  34. Maia

A jewelry request – J-290366, the red torsade!

  35. gk27

Another vote for A213613 – jacket with piping.

  36. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

A second chance at the Medallion Scroll Print Knit top (A199799)? Please let it happen. I missed the olive and purple shades because I was new to the Linea line and thought I had all the time in the world to buy them. I have the green/turquoise and love everything about it — including the neckline. How I would love to have the other two colors (at the very least, the olive).

    1. nikki

I would love print also A199799. I missed out on it and have been stalking ebay. I would also love the matching skirt. I thought the blue combination was very striking.

  37. Barbara in Virginia

Hi, Louis! I have been wearing a lot your cargo pants from a while back. A214879. Very nice quality of 97% cotton and 3% spandex twill. I didn’t get the jacket back then but would now! Although I do love these pants with one of the lace cardis and metallic sandals.

    1. Jane

I have to agree with Barbara — I love these cargo pants A214879! I have 2 in white and 2 in the tan and I wear them constantly in the summer. In fact I have them on right now! Fabric is great, fit is great. I also have the matching jackets, but, I have to say, I don’t wear those as much.

Would also like to see the return of the brushed cotton crop pants A216529 (all 5 stars!!) and the 100% linen crop pants A7450 (with a side or front zipper, not the back).

All three are mainstays for my summer wardrobe. Thanks for asking!

      1. Jane

Would also like to see the return of A213614 – the Fly Front Ankle Pants w/ Piping Detail. This fabric is terrific — 68% cotton, 29% polyester and 3% spandex. They always look crisp and polished.

    2. MH_MN

These cargo pants were near the top of my list of candidates for a second look. Super comfy and stylish, can’t beat that (and, I did buy the jacket). If new colors are on the docket, make mine black, olive and navy, please.

    3. Maia

Yes on A-214879 if you can make them 4 inches longer.

    4. Saphira

Add me to the A214879 fans. I’d love summer dark colors!

  38. Carol

A199789 Pebble crepe pants in BLACK and OLIVE. I never got the olive and my blacks are a size too big, but I’d buy two of the black. I’d also like them to come in Navy and Coffee Bean. And the length on them was perfect, so don’t let them tell you they were too long.

Louis, I cannot have enough pebble crepe it seems.

    crdlb

    1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

I echo this request – exact same colors.

    2. MH_MN

We need more of A199789 or A215175 pebble crepe full length pull on pants, in colors to coordinate with our PC wardrobes. I love these pants. My white lined pair is a size too big now, and I gave away my size-too-big pair in black so I need to re-order! While we are at it, A221804 the mid-calf pull-on PC skirt in new colors would be wonderful, too.

  39. CarolB

A213613 – jacket with piping – one of my most favorite jacket with piping.

  40. Maia

Thank you, Louis! My favorite spring/summer suit that I’d love to have in more colors is A-226257 (jacket)/A-226258 (slacks) in neutral colors. Also my favorite short sleeve top, A-3825, in any colors.

    1. Diamondscribe

Love these pants and this fabric!

    2. Kay Hemme

This jacket and pants in both stone and pale olive work horses in my wardrobe and I would love in other colors.

  41. Pecan Cookie

I don’t have these two items mentioned but would love to have these separates in my closet. Colors are nice but black is a given especially since it would dress up so nicely with all the faceted bead necklaces I’ve acquired! Thanks for keeping the skirt around this length or longer too (for us tall Linea Ladies).

  42. Happy Lady

HI Louis, I’m wondering if the reason A199787 Skirt and A199786 Top didn’t do well was they were so basic that they weren’t appreciated until we got them home and realized how versatile they are. The other issue was the skirt ran on the large size and many of us sent back for a smaller size. You really get your monies worth with these two pieces. Hope the buyers will give them another go. The reviews are glowing. I would love more colors.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

7 out of 10 complaints are the clothes are too big, but they have their standard measurements and fit that we must adhere to.

      1. Sherry

Maybe it’s because they say it is a “fitted” style and women purchase accordingly…looks more relaxed to me.
