What’s a new Fall season without a little ANIMAL thrown in!?…….For Fall 2014 I am presenting a BABY CHEETAH JACQUARD KNIT…TOP, A257347…and….SKIRT, A257352……….The fabric is a Rayon/Poly/Span blended KNIT. It is soft to the hand, but has enough body to conceal and camouflage any little issues you may think you have…………..The top has long sleeves, is semi fitted and has a stand collar which has a front hidden zipper so you can wear it open if you choose…..Obviously, a better choice for those who weren’t blessed with a swan’s neck. The top is approx. 24 inches long for the XS. The color above is……………TAUPE/BLACK……
The SKIRT, A257352, is approx 23 inches long and is a PULL-ON style. The waist band is contoured and the style of the top is very much like the pull-on Ponte pant that has been reordered. There is stretch to the skirt, but you should pay attention to the hip measurement……. Both pieces are interchangeable with BLACK….BLACK top with CHEETAH skirt……….BLACK bottom with CHEETAH top. I prefer black as the coordinate rather than trying to wear a Taupe top….I think it dilutes the look….if you know what I mean……….However, what I would like is a hit of COLOR…..like a RED, ORANGE, HOT PINK, TURQUOISE, AUBERGINE, HUNTER GREEN, PETROL, ROYAL PURPLE etc. etc top, twin set, vest. or turtleneck. Even the accessories can be a shot of color…..necklaces, bracelets, scarf or even the shoe!……………Above, I have chosen to show it all with BLACK……….The BLACK ELONGATED JACKET will be avail in Aug……probably on my Aug. 18th show [details then]…………The BLACK DRAPED FRONT CARDIGAN, A257376, and the tank, A255148, are perfect foils to the skirt……now to finish the TOTAL LOOK??………my ANIMAL INSTINCTS TIGHTS in BLACK! That ought to solve some problems for women who don’t like their knees or legs……cover them with ANIMAL INSTINCTS …..Of course for my Fashionistas…..my BLACK LEATHER and KNIT jacket will be super HOT with the Cheetah pieces…….you probably have a zillion things to mix with a little Cheetah….One or two pieces can REFRESH your whole wardrobe………………………………………………………………………………………….enjoy……………………..much Love……………………………..Louis

Will QVC be reordering A230025 Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Animal Jacquard Zip Front Jacket? I’ve ordered the new Olive on wait list; however, my size small (and most sizes) is sold out in all other colors. This jacket is much loved by many Linea ladies, and I think I speak for many of us that we would like this reordered.
Does the taupe/black cheetah top work under the new short jacket you have coming?

Chris, I think that Louis has the short Black jacket over the Indigo Cheetah print in the next set of pics. Kink of looks live the Denim jacket at first.
Dear Chris….Sherry is correct it is the short jacket over the cheetah…..the way clothes are put together today there is much less concern whether something worn under a jacket is longer or much shorter…I think they work well.
So you are saying the new red short jacket would work over this taupe/black cheetah top then?
Forgive me, I need more coffee to comprehend things today!:D

Dear Chris….I haven tried those two together so I couldn’t definitively say they will work. The black short jacket looked good over the Indigo cheetah, but they are more tonal. In theory the red with the taupe cheetah show look good too.
I mean haven’t tried, but I’m sure you connected the dots.

You always bring us great fabrics Louis! From the limited zoom – this jacquard appears ribbed with high/lows? Can’t wait to feel the texture of this one! I was born a wild child – Taupe is for me. . .need more soft suiting for business travel. Well done, Dear Designer.
Morning Pamela…..it isn’t ribbed but it definitely has texture of a high low effect…..I was looking for your post about the spice color….I finally found the skirt to check and it matches the NUTMEG perfectly!!That will be a great sweater set to wear with the skirt….as you say…soft suiting for business.
Excellent. . .Do own the Tobacco tank & shrug – so the Nutmeg will be another style option for the skirt as well as the Walnut Tweed jacket. Think I’m so attracted to these “Browns” because Alaska has no native Oak Trees – it’s those rich dark tones that Mother Nature blends so well with those earthy Reds, Yellows & Oranges!- that this Blonde loves to wear!

The Taupe is fabulous…but I must say that I had a jacket similar to the Elongated Black jacket ummm 15 years ago and sadly it is too small for me now…so happy to see that jacket…and I’m not tall…love the look with a white tee, a chambray shirt worn open and jeans…that’s how I used to wear it…Now, I will get to try my hand at styling it again. I just scored a size Med. White Bodysuit…yippee!!! Stalking does pay off…that will be a starting place with my NEW Elongated Black jacket this year. Happy dance….LOL.
Dear Sherry I hope shorter women don’t look at this long jacket and automatically say ..”oh, it’s not for me”. When I tell tall women short jackets are for them too….likewise long jackets can be worn by shorter women also.
I like to play with proportions…can’t read a book by it’s cover…have to try too long/short and see if the attitude fits…right?
