……………….This is the first dress I have done in WHISPER KNIT….A259112……………The color above is………..OLIVE…………The dress is made in the ENR [Every Needle Rib] construction……It isĀ approx. 42 inches long for the XS….It has a V-NECK LINE, and it has a LONG SLEEVE with a wide RIBBED CUFF, approx. 6 1/2 inches. If you push them up a little you will get a nicely bloused sleeve. ….There is a ribbed mid section that is approx. 3 inches wide. This gives the dress a terrific waist shape without being too tight………………I will say….this is not a dress for everyone. I think you know whether it’s something you can wear or not. For some Spanx will be needed…just to give a smooth line. This is an any occasion dress….day or night….casual or dressy…… worn alone….with the MATCHING SHAWL, A259111 in OLIVE….or with any kind of jacket…from a classic blazer to a motor cycle or jean jacket….it just works. I would suggest a nude sheer tight, a black opaque tight…or the walnut herringbone tights….will give you many options and looks. The BRONZE or OLIVE PEARLS [2 strands above], J264035….or any of the new DOUBLE STRAND BEAD necklaces will look wonderful with the olive dress…………………………..enjoy………………………much Love ……………………Louis

Beautiful dress! Love your delicious styling ideas!
You know that I think this dress is “to die for.” Now, about my body, hmmm. My WK skirts and faux-wrap tops (all colors!) from last year might have to be my personal answer to owning this look. At least I have WK and wonderfully chic tops and skirts. The jewelry is coming my way, of course.
Love this dress, Louis! Bravi!
To be clear, the jewelry for the black dress is coming my way.
Ok Now that you mentioned a motor cycle jacket, can there be one in our future. I would love to get one designed by you so hopefully we can get something. Love the dresses and will get all three
not this year but there is definitely one on the drawing board
I would love it.
Me too!!!
Thanks Louis for my breakfast treat! Love this dress.
Can you comment on the finish of the hemline as it came off the knitter? . . .like a WK Classic Tneck? . . .ribbing like @ the waist & sleeves? etc.
TIA
Dear Pamela….do you have any ENR sweaters from me? If so you will notice the beautiful thing about the ENR construction is that the garment comes off the machine finished just as the body of the garment. There is no need to add a tubular trim like on the jersey knit pieces. If I had ribs at the bottom it would have a cocoon effect which was not the look I was going for.
Own the full needle skirt A253411 = same hemline finish?
Yes….almost all ENR sweaters, and all skirts are finished like that.
Louis, This dress looks fabulous…… it brings back many memories for me as well. When I was in college (in those days we did dress up a little)….. I fell in love with a dress in a magazine. It had the knit at the waist as well. My mother made the dress and I hand knit the trim for the midriff to match. I always loved this dress……
I’ll be buying all three and really appreciate the advice on which hose to wear with what! One stop shopping is always a good thing.
Any idea when they’ll be up for sale?
They are supposed to be on the Sept 29th show, but you never know what the planners will do. Since this is a new piece I doubt it will be posted until the show.
I thought this was an OLO so happy to know that it’ll actually be presented. Your styling possibilities are endless for this one!
Now that you said that I’m not sure, but I do think it will get air time.
