I believe that is everything. I know many of you like to plan your purchases and I will do everything I can do to make it easier. Remember the Dec. show is on the 9th. This will give you plenty of time to receive your purchases before Christmas. I know many of you will have questions about the above list…..be patient. I will blog a detailed description before each show. This is just a preliminary list so you all know what to expect in Oct. and Dec…….if everything goes as planned!……………..much Love, Louis
Hi Louis
I was wondering if the charmuse drape front blouse would work with the gray sequin skirt and jacket from a few seasons back. If so, what color would you choose? Counting down and looking forward to your show!
Dear Marcia……All I can say about the new steel gray charmuse top and the steel gray sequin skirt is WOW!!!!!I never even thought to try them together. They match perfectly. The top has a deep drape surplus front with a matching modesty piece under it. It is a blusson [SP] top and has a section of 5 rows of elastic in the back……I know it’s hard to visualize. I can tell you they look great together. The top comes in the steel gray, taupe and purple, but it’s the steel gray that matches the sequin skirt…………regards, Louis
Oh fine. The ONE pieces I was not planning on buying!
Hi Louis
YES! I bet it would look wonderfrul with the pencil skirt ,too- for a less formal effect. I am also thinking about the A219796, satin back faux de Chine, fly front classic shirt(ivory?)to wear with the sequin jacket and skirt.
I love this outfit- I am a Linea yearling (started Oct-2010)- and had to have the skiry radically altered ( only XL left and I needed small)- but I am so glad I did. Brooks Brothers has a similar styled jacket with trim that is close to $300.
I have a question please. The knit boot skirt…about it’s weight, does it need to be folded and stored on a shelf; or can it be left to hang? It’s such a nice piece I don’t want to risk ruining it.
thanks
Sherry from Dodge City, Kansas
Oh Gosh…forgot to say….love the stuff upcoming. I have a wish list along with all the Linea ladies. Can’t wait to see everything!
Sherry
Fold and/or roll, or a combination of both…..do NOT hang unless you want it longer!!!!
thank you….
Did I hallucinate this or didn’t I read there was something coming in chartreuse?
You did not hallucinate……Avocado and chartreuse for Dec.My new favorite colors……….LDO
My new favorite colors also. Perfect for my hazel eyes.
Hello Louis. I have a couple questions. The satin back faux de Chine, fly front classic shirt in perfectly pink, ivory, black – does this have the same design as the Kate shirt, only with the buttons hidden under a placket down the front? Also, the chenille blazer, is the fabric similar to a velvet look? I am so excited about your upcoming shows – I think I will have to book the days off for vacation so I can be home to see the shows! Super Excited! Thanks again.
Hi Carmille.
The shirt is similar to the “Kate” shirt because it has a pointed mens collar and the body is darted like the Kate shirt. However it does not have abreast pocket. The fly fron gives it a dressier look and of course the fabric is more fluid than the cotton so it is more feminine.
If I had to put the chenille in a category, I guess you could say it is velvet like but it has more texture…..almost like a petite point. It, like a velveteen, can easily be worn day and night……regards, Louis
Hi Louis, would you please check a couple of numbers?
A213568 is a Citiknits blouse
A219798 is listed twice
A212795 is a Liz Claiborne blouse……THANK YOU
I am checking these numbers out. As of now the correct number for the sequin cowl is A218568, and the correct number of the knit , 26 inch pencil skirt is A219798. I will get back to you on the pull-on pant which definitely is incorrect, and the water color shirt…………thanks for checking on me, I always make mistakes….I will correct the list…Louis
I found out the other info…..the pull-on pant is A220049, the water color charmuse top is A219795…..please let everyone know the changes. I will correct the list…..thanks, Louis
Wonderful line-up! I am so disappointed that the asymetrical suede jacket will not be reordered in black; I could have sworn that earlier you said it was coming back in spruce green and black – believe it or not that was THE item at the top of my very long list 🙁 Looking forward to your next shows!
Dear kaufeegurl,
I may very well have said the jacket would be coming back in purple and black. I ASSUMED that since it was sold out in both colors, naturally when I heard it was a reorder, it would be back in both colors. The moral of the story……never assume. I honestly don’t know why the black wasn’t reordered, but I do have a brand new suede jacket coming in black…….maybe that was their reasoning?
…………..regards, Louis
Abstract watercolor print? Now that sounds delicious. I know I need the new sequin pieces and the Fortuny-esque lurex skirt and matching peasant blouse, but I will also be snapping up some of the career basics too. Can you confirm that you have only one show on December 9th?
That is correct. Originally, I was to have one show in late Dec……too late to get anything for Christmas. To my surprise the show was moved to the 9th which is a much better date, considering there will be a lot of new on that show. So again, one show in Dec………regards, Louis
Hope our protests and letters helped to get the show moved. We Linea Ladies were outraged that there wouldn’t be Christmas shopping opportunities for us. And when I say FOR US, I think we all know what we mean!
So psyched about the line up!

WOW!!! That’s a lot of goodies, and I’m VERY excited!!!! Thank you Louis for letting us know in advance!!! Because of that, I’m always able to purchase the colors and sizes I want!!!
Louis, thanks so much for posting this – it makes it so easy to plan my purchases for the winter season. I have a number of events coming up in December and will happily wait for your gorgeous sequin and lurex choices. (Seriously … yowza!)
I am amazed at how often I wear your garments to NYC events and have been asked where I purchased what I’m wearing. My husband and I are both involved with NYC media/communications- and I wear your designs often, to rave reviews. I was particularly amused recently, when I was at a Friday evening event and a colleague of my husband’s asked “who” I was wearing. I had on your insanely chic red riding jacket (crazy good!) an ivory silk shirt, lots of pearls and your slim black trousers. The whole outfit was “evening” without trying. I replied “Louis dell Olio” – and got a huge kick when she said “oh he’s very good.” (We’re talkin’ major snob factor here, Mr. L!)
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it that I can get your designs and actually spend a fraction of the $ my colleagues spend on very pricey designer garments.
I just wish that the Q would let you expand into more “lux” designs – I’m a huge fan of your silks, and would snap up tweeds, cashmere, etc. I have to admit – with enormous respect to the loyal “Linea Ladies” – that I worry that QVC sees you as a designer for retired woman – and totally overlooks the market for upscale, younger professional woman who want to stay within a budget, but who are still youthful, slim and very into fashion.
So, I guess I’m saying, please don’t forget the still-young career women who adore your clothing, and who really love your slimmer cut, sexy fashions. Your recent bronze jacket was insanely good! And I’m really looking forward to what your bringing over the next several months.
Dear Enjay,
I very much appreciate what you have said. Don’t worry. I only intend to make classy, ageless clothes.
As always Louis, you try to accommodate our every need. You are always going beyond what is needed, and what is expected. You and Jac are very special people. (By the way, I think the Byzantine necklace has one too many zeros, am I right?-J264037, instead of J2640037).
You are correct and I have just change it…..thank you!
I’m definitely going to need to plan–for a second mortgage! LOL This list is so exciting. Some of my very favorite colors, too. Thanks! I have some scarves from the 80’s that I held onto because they were silk that are going to be very useful with some of the colors–slate blue, merlot, teal, gray, salmon–the dusty colors as we used to call them. Looking forward to these shows.
Sincerely,
crdlb
WOW…that’s enough new product for four or five shows. Thank you for the heads up.
Thank you. This helps very much
