…………The collage of photos above are all pictures from my 1990 Fall Anne Klein Look Book. These photos represented looks right from the runway…..but most importantly….clothes, jewelry, hose and hats that were purchased by the stores and were housed in the AK boutiques. As you can also see some of the jewelry pieces are very close to the pieces I am offering you now, and some have been redesigned for today…….Case in point…the earrings were much bigger then they are now………I hope you enjoy this look back 24 years!!!!! WOW I can’t believe these pictures were taken 24 years ago….I don’t think there is one outfit on these pages that you couldn’t wear today……… Tunics, suedes, brocades, jacquards, crushed velvet, boucles, satins and knits are all current in fashion today……….Good style lasts forever………………….enjoy, much Love………Louis

I love that salmon pink (?) shade. Perhaps something in WK can come our way in that shade. Or, a suit?
Yes, Please, Louis.
I would LOVE WK’s in that lovely rose/pink/salmon color too … as well as matching pieces … even a jacket, skirt and coat!!! It hits that sweet color spot that looks good on everyone. Not to mention looks great with Navy, Walnut, Black, Ivory and White, Hunter Green, Greys …. and on and on and on 🙂
Dear Louis,
What breathtaking shots. I am proud to say I am the owner of many similar pieces you have brought to Linea, including the two crosses, upper right. In fact, you see the black jacket? I have one in navy wool crepe very similar with a single jeweled button. Just love shoulder pads, even though I am as broad-shouldered as they get, there’s something about walking into a room in a jacket like that ! Absolutely stunning clothing.
Cela, we must be related. I have broad shoulders also and I love my shoulder pads. I have so many of Louis’s clothing purchased in the 80’s; long before QVC and have refitted a few of the jackets with huge football shoulders that were so “in” for a short period of time. But the fabrics, designs, tailoring are the best. Remember when we were young and wore all these gorgeous clothes?!
Bet your closet(s) are bulging just like mine.
I see several things I could wear today.
Maybe not the same way…
for example, that beautiful draped dress (lower right)

Just imagine yourself in that black dress (lower right).
Louis, What a beautiful collage. One of my sisters has our mother’s Anne Klein pieces. Love seeing the looks.
How about introducing that beautiful pink into the Linea line?
Wow. Clearly I need to hunt for a much longer chain for the original cabochon cross!!
Louis, looks like your robbed my jewelry stash!! I also have the large green stone earrings and I think I have them in red. I wore them to death and if they were just a little bit smaller I would wear them now. I do in the evening but I used to wear in the daytime. I also have the long, long necklace worn with the peachy rose jacket. I have the earrings with the big drop pearls but one of the pearls came loose and is on a metal spike and I have not been able to find a glue that will hold. Oh well, those were the gorgeous clothes days; fabulous fabrics, gorgeous designs but not over the top. Thanks for the memories, those were the days! I have never regretted all the money I have sent on beautiful clothes.
Dear Happy Lady….the J267611 would be perfect for you. It combines the two earrings you have….the button that’s too big and the drop that’s broken. This is the button….only much smaller and the pearl drop is interchangeable with a color drop. You should try a jeweler…..maybe they could recommend a glue or glue it themselves.
In love with the black button and the white pearl. I don’t think the current earring version ever came in black and white – though I could have missed it!
Happy Lady, if you haven’t, maybe try E6000 glue (available at any craft store) or a jewelry glue called Hypocement.
What a GREAT collage! So many fabulous looks. I’m recognizing the basis for A1292. I purchased that – what will be 7 years ago this coming Jan. While it no longer fits me – I should have sized up 😉 – I’d love to see you revisit that style again. And even though it no longer fits, I’ve not been able to part with it 😉 As you say – “good style lasts forever”
Louis, I have a pair of those huge earrings in the green stone with the gold border…. They were the largest one and clip-ons. I wanted them so bad, but was never able to wear them as my ear lobes were too small. They remain a treasure anyway and a reminder of those very fashionable days and my thoughts while drooling over those wonderful ads ……
