********This year I thought it might be fun to give you a special “sneak peek” into our home, and how we decorate for Christmas…..Over the years Jac and I have collected, made and received many Christmas decorations. With every new Christmas that comes….we gather the decorations from high and low…..open the boxes where they are carefully stored….and the memories come flooding back. Above, are pictures of the “Family Room” or as I like to call it…”The Gathering Room”, where family and friends gather for an evening by the fire with traditional Christmas music playing softly in the background.. Every Christmas we have two trees. The 10 foot tree in the Family room, and the smaller tree on the sun porch. This smaller tree we call “Jac’s Mother’s Tree”, because it is filled with her mother’s ornaments and lights. The lighthouse and ship ornaments were purchased during a trip we all took together in Kennebunkport over 11 years ago….It’s always a little melancholy putting up this tree, but there are always lots of good memories too……It is our tradition to open a bottle of Port, light the fire, play Christmas music and decorate the tree. “Our Tree” is filled with ornaments we have collected, and there are many from some very “dear” friends. A few years back we had a catastrophe, and lost many ornaments….so if you look very closely…you will find ornaments that may be a little broken….we call them the survivors, and we felt they had a right to shine again….so proudly they hang from the tree. When my father was still with us….I would have him collect bags filled to the brim with pine cones. He had three magnificent pine trees on his property that produced the most beautiful cones. At a certain point I had to say “Dad…STOP….I have more pine cones than I know what to do with”. I only wish I had never stopped him and had him today collecting the pine cones for me. Jac and I made everything with those cones….wreaths and center pieces abound. On one of the tables I have them piled in a silver bowl. I had painted the tips of each cone white to look like snow. I have them all over the house grouped on book shelves and tables. My father is never far away….. This year we have added to our collection. Jac fell in love with the Valerie Parr Hill small silver porcelain Christmas trees that light up, and we have them scattered, and grouped about the room. Everyone wants to know where we got them…… We really do enjoy ourselves, and when the decorating is all finished and the lights are a glow…..it is a beautiful and happy sight……Jac always says…..she feels like five gain……………………Merry Christmas everyone!……………..all our Love……….Jac, Louis and the girls

A very belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year dear Louis! We just put our son and DIL on a plane back to Chicago, clutching their new WK scarves. Now mom and dad can collapse from a hectic but happy Christmas visit. My own WK pieces served me well on Christmas day, starting out with Mass at St. Louis Cathedral and ending with a late dinner in the French Quarter. I was comfy, chic and unrumpled all day – quite a feat. Only now getting to view and enjoy the pictures of your beautiful home with its Christmas decor. Exquisite! Thank you for all of the beautiful Linea clothing you provide and for the very individual attention to our needs and wants. Wishing you, Jac and the girls a very happy, healthy 2015!
Dear Jac and Louis! Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year! You’ve certainly given us many treasures this past year including portions of your very gracious heart and noble mind. I’m looking so forward to surprises you have in store for us in ’15!

You our an angel Thank you for letting us see you home. Have a very Merry Christmas and a very happy healthy New Year. Renee
Your account of your decorations and family memories moved me to tears. We must cherish our loved ones — of that there is no doubt as our time on earth is limited. As my late husband used to say, “No one gets out of here alive.” There is truth, humor and sorrow in that line.
The port helps to temper the melancholy that we can feel.
Merry Christmas, Jac and Louis!
Merriest Christmas to Louis, Jac and the puppers:
It’s that special time of year
When Santa calls all to hear:
“Gather your lists, come and view
All that Louis has for you!”
A retro coat of faux fur
Soft and lush as my cat’s purr.
Pearls Baroque, crosses of gold,
Pave crystal, beads so bold.
Smoke and sparkle tights delight,
Best of all– they fit just right!
Strut your stuff in pinstripes slim,
Don a pea coat ‘gainst the wind!
Super ponte sleek and smooth,
With a poncho, leggings rule.
Shawls so warm and scarves so cool,
Peek-a-Boo lace makes men drool!
Bravo…a poetess in our midst …..
What fun…thanks jmarie!
Thank you for sharing your memories and opening up your lovely home to us to share. This is the time we take stock and remember all the important people in our lives and count all the many blessings we have. Let us cherish those who brighten our lives and say a prayer for those who don’t. Merry Christmas to you and Jac and the girls. We lost our precious Guinness just last month after enriching our lives for the past 15 years. I know he’s looking down on us from that special place in heaven for our special animals. God bless!
Merry Christmas, Louis and Jac. Can’t believe I have to wait a full month still before you return to QVC. Getting my new crystal earrings today, though. Just in time for New Year’s Eve.

Thank you for sharing your memories. I have many “heirloom” Christmas ornaments that were my parents and I am always very careful with them, though I have a few survivor hanging too! My Dad would hang the tinsel one strand at a time and it seemed like it took forever! Love the memories
that each ornament brings,
All the happiness to you Jac, your Girls and your family.
Hanging the old metal tinsel was my mother and my job. My father and brother were in charge of putting the tree up and the lights. My father didn’t have the patience for the tinsel, and my mother didn’t have patience for the way he would do it!!
Heartfelt thanks for generously sharing with us, as you always do. All that wonderful color, rich with memories of beloved parents and the artistic works of both of your hands is just what the seasons calls for. It nourishes the spirit during a sometimes dreary time of year, doesn’t it? God bless you guys and may you somehow know how much you two have enriched our lives out here. And how much that means in a personal way. We feel part of the “family”. Wishing you both good health and happiness in the new year!
Dear Nancy…thank you…We truly love our extended family!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and sharing your wonderful family traditions.. From our house to yours we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Ann and Bob
Truly a beautiful Christmas card that you have sent to us all, Louis & Jac. Your home is exquisitely decorated for the holidays…..and so much that you have created yourselves. I can well imagine the memories that flood back as you put each treasured memento in its honored place. Thank you for sharing your lovely and warm home. Merry Christmas and Happy & Healthy New Year to you both as well as your sweet furry loves.
Merry Christmas to you, Jac, and the girls! Your decorations and trees in your home are so lovely! Here’s to a wonderful day with lots of food, friends, and new memories to put with the old memories we treasure so much!
Merry Christmas to you and Jac!! The angel on the top of the tree in the upper left of the montage is the same angel my parents had at the top of their tree. Ah.. memories…
Regards,
Chris
Beautiful!! Very happiest Christmas to you,Jac and all your family. Thank you for all the lovely things you brought to us in 2014.
So pretty! It’s all about family, friends and memories. All of our decorations have a story attached to them which is the way it should be.
Blessings to you and your family.

Merry Christmas, Louis, Jac, and the girls — Wishing you all the best. Your home looks lovely in all its Christmas finery. For the first time in years I put up a tree and did lots of decorating — most courtesy of all the beautiful QVC goodies presented this year.
Just to let you know — I received the grape cluster necklaces yesterday. I thought I would like the black best, but I have to say the briolette faceted clear beads are spectacular. WOW!
Merry Christmas and thank you for a great fashion year!
WELL, No wonder you haven’t been posting; been a little busy I see. Wonderful, so much color and so many delightful precious pretties to look at. Thanks for opening your beautiful home to us and sharing such loving memories. Thank you for all my wonderful clothes this past year. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for 2015. Hope you, Jac and the spoiled little princesses have a healthy, happy Christmas and may 2015 be the best year of your lives. Blessings, Happy Lady
