…………………There are always women on the hunt for the perfect LBD, and this may be just the one for you……..the style number is…..A262034…….The silhouette has a FIT and FLARE SHAPE. The skirt has beautiful “CONES”. That is what we in the business call the undulating folds in the skirt. These cones are by no means an accident. The skirt is draped to create these folds which give grace and movement as you move. The dress has PRINCESS SEAMS and a horizontal seam near the waist, but only on the center panel. For you pattern makers and dress makers…..this seam is there to help create the cones in the skirt, or else all the fullness would be at the sides of the dress. How it’s achieved is too technical for our purposes…..The length is approx 38 inches for the xxs……The dress has short sleeves and an invisible zipper in the back…..I’m not sure if it’s really necessary, but it’s there just in case. The neckline is a high scoop….perfect for showing off all kinds of jewelry……In this case the GOLD PALM FROND NECKLACE which is due back in Feb. along with the matching earring. These are two spectacular pieces of jewelry and the manufacturing and plating is SUPERB!………………..Again, mixing UPTOWN CHIC with DOWNTOWN EDGE….I put the HOODED PONTE BLAZER over the dress and they work perfectly together [photos at the bottom]……What you don’t see…..that makes this TERRIFIC outfit a FANTASTIC one ….is….the model will be wearing the BLACK HERRINGBONE TIGHTS, A260033….Why these? Because the pattern of the herringbone subtly works with the shape of the PALM FRONDS….Ladies….this IS A DESIGNER TOUCH…..With a high heel….not necessarily too high…..pointy toe BLACK SUEDE pump….you will look like a million!…………………………………enjoy……………..much Love………………………..Louis

I have the TSV Jacket with the peplum back…will that jacket work with the Ponte Dress? Was wondering if the peplum would be too much with the seams and the flare…
I think they should be fine……the jacket is short enough so it shouldn’t conflict with the dress.
Sorry, I meant to add I wear a S.
I love this cut; for some reason it works well on my long waisted hour glass figure. However, I’m concerned about the length of the sleeves. The sleeves on the Tshirt dress in cotton span are tight on me. When you have a chance could you measure these sleeves. I know I could wear a jacket but I really would want to show off the cut of the dress.
Dear Andrea…..my sample is an XXS, so these are the measurements for this size. From the top of the sleeve cap, at the shoulder seam, it measures 9 inches long. The sleeve opening is approx 10 inches or 5 inches on the half.
Well this little number in Black makes my decision on what color to get in the Hooded Blazer…love that the blazer works over the ponte dress…
Dear Louis,
At 5’9″, a 38-39″ dress length hits above my knee. When I was in my 20’s-30’s that was desirable, but not so much now at my age/stage of life. I know you’ve said before that “tall” sizing isn’t realistic in the short-term, so I wonder if providing a hem for lengthening is possible? Thanks in advance.
As someone who is 5’2″, I like when the dress lengths are less than 42-41″. This will fall at around the middle of my knee cap. I also favor a ruby or berry red color for this dress or even perfectly pink or navy.
Cute and classic–very Audrey. But, I’m afraid too short for me 🙁
My exact New Year Eve dress. Remove the sleeves, connect back and front with spaghetti straps and add a handkerchief hem, and you’ve got it. Of course, I added my Pale Taupe Anorak, it was a little chilly in Hawaii that night.
I’ll be getting two, thank you very much.
Thanks Louis for a new style in a ponte knit dress. This one will be great for warmer weather. I love the thickness of the fabric and yet I feel this fabric has movement and ease.
If this should be a reorder, one in ruby to match the ruby herringbone jacket (A238540) would be perfect for a spring outfit.
Just darling! Looking forward to the upcoming shows!
