…….You have already had a taste of……LINEA LEISURE……….and from the sell out of the tunic, and the reviews, it looks like you approve…….The second style I am previewing is…..THE LINEA LEISURE CARDIGAN, A262035…..First up…….It is important to discuss the FIT of the Linea Leisure cardigan…….As a group….consisting of my fit team and QVC’s fit team, we made the decision that the Linea Leisure jackets would be closer in size to what you would find in B&M stores…..What does this mean for you…….It means the fit is slightly smaller and closer to the body…..less BOXY….QVC usually likes a generous fit…..Before you say OH NO…..it is important to know we are still fitting on the same fit model we always did so the change isn’t drastic….it still has to fit you! I would say that you should read what the measurements are before purchasing. If you have certain body issues like a large chest or hips you may want to size up one size…but….before making that decision PLEASE go over the measurements carefully and compare them to things you own and love the fit of…I know from things you have said to me, some of you like a smaller fit and some an easier fit…..so it is important to read the “click here measurements” to get your ideal fit…..Why the change? because we felt baggy or shapeless Leisure clothes was not the way to go especially in leisure fabrics…….that can easily give you a sloppy look……. We think this is a more youthful fit without being tight or inappropriate…..THE CARDIGAN in the pictures above is an xxs….I usually get xs samples. The length is approx 27 1/2 inches for the xxs. The cardigan has long sleeves and a classic jewel neckline. There are eight SIGNATURE BUTTONS down the front. These are new buttons made especially for the Linea Leisure Line. They are DYED TO MATCH, and have a rim with Linea Leisure etched into the center of the button….it’s very subtle, but gives a “signature”to the pieces. The fabric of the first Linea pieces is the same COTTON/SPAN KNIT that I have been using for years , and the same fabric as the tunic that just sold out….These first Leisure pieces do have your normal labels, but we are looking into printing them on the Leisure group going forward…….The color above is………..NAVY……….Linea Navy…….The jacket has the “LINEA PATCH POCKET” with the inserted BAND for easy entry. Of course these pieces are unlined for total COMFORT and STRETCH…….Personally, I do not like this jacket all buttoned up! I would either button the top one or two and leave the rest open, for an easy casual look……..button from the top to the waist and then leave the bottom open, which is a more dramatic look, or just button two or three from the waist area up for a more cinched in look…..anyway you choose, depending on how you feel that given day, leave some buttons open. I really don’t like the bottom buttons BUTTONED across the hips…..In the photos above I have the jacket with the matching shell [which I will discuss in a following sneak peek], and the LINEA LEISURE PULL-ON PANT….The pant will be avail in a regular length, A262070, and a petite length, A262072….The inseam for the slim leg reg. length is approx. 30 1/2 inches. It has a full elastic waist and the LEG OPENING is approx. 6 1/2 inches..There are pockets!!….NAVY, BLACK and WHITE are your choices…..With the Leisure clothes I like jewelry that is fun….such as THE FISH PENDANT….With the navy….the SILVER FISH WITH THE BLUE EYE and YELLOW EYE, J288023 looks great…..I also love the ENAMEL LINK LINEA WATCH, J277885, in the BLUE, WHITE or CORAL, which is actually a SUNKIST ORANGE!……………………………enjoy………………………..much Love……………………Louis

Hi Louis!
I have been reading your blog for all the new January items and am trying to come up with a plan. Wow – this is really hard! Everything is so terrific! I have a question about the Linea Leisure pant. You said the leg opening is 6.5″. I’m assuming I should double this to compare it directly to the legging that has recently been reordered, right? (The Q says it has a 12″ leg opening – A252344). If that is the case, these are only about an 1″ looser at the ankle. Are they considered a slim ankle pant with the 30.5″ inseam? How much fabric is in the hem for lengthening if needed?
Thanks in advance for helping us tall gals figure it out! 🙂
Susan
Hi Susan….measuring knit depends on who’s doing it and if they pull the fabric…LOL….The official measurement of the leg opening is 6″ on the half for a total of 12 inches. This is a slim leg. The hem is very narrow and can not be let down unless you put a false bottom, but that would only give you 1/2 inch.
Hi, Louis! I’m so looking forward to this new line. One question, please…will the pants be in lettered or numbered sizes? Thanks so much.
I definitely want the Navy Leisure Cardigan and Pants (will wear with the silver Fish necklace). I already ordered and received the tunics in Perfectly Pink and Sky Blue (love them), so I don’t want a Perfectly Pink Leisure Cardigan. Plus I ordered the PP WK sweater, and I already have the PP WK 2-fer.
I’m typically not a ‘navy’ girl, but yours is beyond beautiful. Too beautiful to even be called navy…. okay, I see it’s called Linea Navy. Much more appropriate. So, the cardi is definitely going into my shopping cart, as will be a number of other things (long skirt for sure). Looking for my magenta, fuschia colors … only the way you do it. Every time I wear your turtle neck in fuschia, someone comments how good I look, or that color is fabulous on you. Okay… then I’ll take everything in that color please! Seriously… would love to see it in this new leisure line down the road.
ALSO, a BALLET NECK long sleeves and sleeveless too… such a flattering neckline as long as it’s a true ballet neck. Thanks Louis. Love seeing you always.
Dear nyc1….the truth is I’ve been using this same navy since Anne Klein. I know it’s popularity is because the color navy is so deep and dark. So many “navies” are really some shade of blue, but not navy. When I first introduced navy shoes at AK they were an instant hit for the same reason.
BLESS you Sir, for pockets in the Leisure Pant!!!
Love this, Louis. Are the skirt, the tunic, the shell and the cardigan the only pieces coming this year (along with the leggings, dress and s/s tunic from last year)? Just trying to determine how many colors I can get without creating a big closet problem–cuz you know I want them all!

Oh Carol…..how you like to subtly squeeze me for info. No, there is also a hoodie in the group…..what’s a Leisure line without a hoodie! Then the next group will be in July/Aug. There are three colors in the hoodie, Black, Navy and a surprise color. Then an additional color will be coming later this spring. later on
Oh, a hoodie will be most appreciated! You’re just like Charmin, Louis. Squeezably soft! LOL
Oh my! I love it all! How will I ever decide? Linea Leisure is perfect for my retired lifestyle. I have the Linea Leisure tunics in 4 colors. Will the cardigans work over the tunics, or are the tunics too long? Should I order the same size in the cardigans as I ordered in the tunics? I am pear shaped and between sizes, so I ordered the larger size tunics which works well.
Dear Chris….NO the cardigans will not work over the tunics. It’s not so much the length it’s the shapes that don’t work together. Yes if you are a pear shape definitely size up. You should look at the hip measurement when it’s posted….that should give you enough time to decide before they are on air…..that’s if they get air time…..I never know.
Louis,
I wrote the above before I thought. I have the new tunic in all colors, so I just compared the black and navy to the ponte pants. I think the blacks work together, but maybe not the navys. I am very pleased with the tunics and glad I bought all colors. Since I wear so many leggings now, I found I was short on basic long sleeved t-shirt type tunics. Problem solved. Thanks so much. ~ Barbara
Dear Barbara….I think the fabrics together are fine, but I can’t guarantee the colors will be exact. From one dye batch to another there can be a difference let alone two completely two different fabrics with different fiber contents from different years. I think you know what I’m getting at……close…yes maybe….exact would be a miracle.
Hello,
I’m thinking this jacket would be great for golfing. I have navy and black ponte pants–A251581. Do you think the colors will work, even though the fabrics are different? Thank you for the leisure line. ~ Barbara
