“FUCHSIA****PEACOCK****FLAME”

**********************FUCHSIA………………..PEACOCK………………FLAME………………….are the color names of this amazing print…………………worthy of framing…A263353…….Tie Dye….Dip Dye and Ombres are one of the major print trends of the season…..but they have all been done before…..so….. the challenge for any designer is how to make them……FRESH and NEW………Dip dyes have been done many many times at all price levels. At the high end designers as diverse as Prada and Oscar de la Renta come to mind. The simplest and most common way is to dip one end of the fabric. A more complicated way is to have three very different colors…one at the top….one at the bottom, and one in the middle…..not an easy feat, but Prada and Oscar did it………..What I have chosen to do is something quite different, because this is a SCREEN PRINT using many different colors. The effect I wanted to achieve was the look you get when you soak a large piece of water color paper and add different color dyes at the top, bottom and center, and have the paper tilt back and forth until the colors run into one another. Believe me when I say that it’s  easier to achieve the “look” using this method than PRINTING it. To get the gradations of color is much easier on a wet piece of paper than a dry piece of cloth. The screens and the colors have to be perfect to get the best result……………I am very pleased with the way this WATER COLOR OMBRE PRINT came out…..I hope you agree…………………enjoy……………….much Love…………………….Louis

Louis, can you tell me if this top is clingy? I am quite thin, and I can’t wear anything too form fitting. If it fits away from the body, I will order the Peacock. I saw Jac wearing it in a photo on her Facebook page, and it looked so pretty on her.

Dear Lyn….I have done many tops and dresses in this fabric and it does not cling. Of course that’s not to say static can’t occur when you take it out of a plastic bag, but other than that no cling complaints on this fabric ever.

Thanks, Louis. I’m ordering the top in Peacock!

Louis, when are these going to be shown? Thank you, they are beautiful.

Dear mackenzie……they “should” be on the May 15th show.

Now you’ve done it! I just retired early and will be downsizing my corporate style, not making as many purchases then THIS pops up. Louis, I must have 2. LOL. This is very beautiful and one of your best prints ever.

Dear Sharon……I don’t really think of these as corporate wear……much more more fun.

Absolutely brilliant and bold! (Sorry, I cannot keep myself from over-responding this morning — have a couple comments already under the “peacock” — but this concept that you and your team carried out so successfully bedazzles. I love all of these tops. How to control myself?)
