………………..Fabric is my first love, and when I find one I think is truly special I can’t wait to bring it to you………That was my reaction when I saw this knit gem. I call it “braided”, because that’s what the pattern reminded me of……..one of Jac’s Holiday breads….. This is a knitted novelty fabric of stripes that entwine to create this intricate pattern. Between the stripes is a fine mesh. The top is UNLINED, so you will definitely need to wear something underneath. What you wear or how much you wear is totally up to you. A nude bra or cami is one way to go…….a terrific bathing suit cover up another alternative or just a terrific pullover…… To show off the pattern I have chosen a black WK tank, and the BLACK COTTON SPAN LEGGING, A255122. You can wear a WHITE WK tank for a completely different look. The color of this top is WHITE WHITE and it matches my white WK very well, but even an ivory or off white tank will work. The fabric is a 70% poly/29% rayon and 1% span blend. The tunic top is approx. 29 inches for the xs and it has 3/4 sleeves. I realize for my very petite women this may seem long, but the 3/4 sleeve keeps it from looking over whelming. The open neckline is piped for a clean finish. This top has many uses….it can be super casual worn as shown above, a wonderful easy top to wear with your shorts, Capri, crop and slim pants. For dressier occasions a pencil skirt and heels will change the total look………………..Needless to say, but always an important detail, this garment is easy care and a wonderful take away piece……………………………………………………………..enjoy………………much Love…………………………….Louis
I ordered both the white and black braided knit tunic. thanks Louis for designing and bringing to us classy and striking tops like these. The fabric is unique and I am sure difficult to sew pieces together. I hope it fits as lovely as it looks.
I think this is positively beautiful. I purchased the v-neck WK tank last week, the cropped leggings in black, and plan to purchase this sweater in white to wear over them. I’m happy to see another tunic – the flame one is so effortlessly beautiful and I want to spend the summer in your quality leggings and pretty tunics.
Love it! Louis, when will this be on? Because of unfortunate timing, I missed out on the tie dye type top and don’t want to miss out on this! Thanks.
Dear mackenzie….it will be the very first item I am selling on the Thursday, June 4th, 1:00pm show.
Thanks so much, Louis! That’s just around the corner!
Will you make a white rayon-spandex tank to go under this? I have all the colors in your scoopneck tank in rayon-spandex and love this tank. I love your WK fabric, but was hoping for something in white that is cooler for summer. Maybe the tank that goes with the safari shirt? What do you recommend? Thanks!
I will not be making a rayon/span tank. It has to be doubled for see through. and yes the white tank to the safari shirt will be perfect.
Louis, I’m hoping we are going to see this skirt modeled. I’m am really excited about this knit. I mentioned on the forum I think the white tunic and skirt will look fabulous with black jewelry under a black coat (thrown over Jac’s shoulders) in the winter time. Just my vision of loveliness. Would have loved a single loop or infinity scarf to match. LOL.
Such a cool fabric. If I purchase both skirt and top, it would be perfect for a summer wedding, etc.
YES, love this new knit. I have a pale sand color sweater you did at Anne Klein that reminds me of this knit design but I think it is a very light weight wool. I’m so getting all of these and thanks for matching skirts. In all the years I’ve been buying your designs I have never come across a white or ivory patterned knit skirt by you. So this is a first and I’m not letting this get past me. I am wearing A224875 today, your olive open work dolman sleeve with red tank and red silk drawstring wide leg pants and lots of warm colored ethnic jewelry (with splashes of red) and bronze gladiator shoes. I get more compliments on this top in olive and also black. I wear the black with white tank and white linen pants and feel chic but not overdressed. Looks soo expensive. Thanks, Louis
I am so glad that you and all the ladies who own it are enjoying it. When I did it I thought it was a fabulous item and so useful, but it was slow to sell, and may have even been on clearance…I don’t remember.
Speaking as one of the “very petite,” I really like your 3/4 sleeves. They fit me like bracelet sleeves, perfect length.
WOW!! That white is dazzling!!
You must be a mind reader because I was looking at the black and olive tunics you did a couple of years ago with the “crochet” weave and thought how wonderful it would be to have a white version of something similar. I have to say I like this new tunic even better, and that’s saying something. Of course, I will have to have the blue, too. And the blue and black skirts.
I can’t wait to see the next sneak peek because you’re really knocking it out of the park this month!

Believe it or not, I had on my olive set the other day and chastised myself for not buying other colors. When the sets were fairly new, I had just started buying clothing from QVC and the Linea line and could not understand the wisdom of women of a certain age wearing open weaves. Now I do. It is an understated bid to the beauty of the flesh and suggestion of what lies beneath. Contrary to my original thought on this style, it is a VERY sophisticated look. It is an intoxicating look, and I wish I had hopped on board earlier with your sets from yesteryear.
