…………..As you already know I am always searching for fabrics that are trending without being trendy. Fabrics that are new, and will never seem outdated…….not an easy task. This NEW TEXTURED KNIT fabric fits right into that category. You can see very clearly in the blow up of the fabric exactly what the texture looks like. It has a very modern look, and it is substantial without being heavy….There is a firmness to the fabric that is very flattering to all body types……in other words….it camouflages a less than perfect body… I have done three different styles in this fabric for transitioning into fall. The CAP RAGLAN SLEEVE TOP,A265603, and the coordinating SKIRT, A265605 are two of the styles being offered. The top and skirt will be avail. in sizes ranging from XXS to 3X……..The top is approx. 24 inches long for the XXS. The pull-on skirt is approx. 22 1/2 -23 inches for the XXS, and the skirt is fully LINED. As you can see in the photos above, the GRASS GREEN top and skirt are meant to be worn together as a two piece dress….or as separates with different bottoms……Black or White bottoms are the simplest solutions for the summer and fall seasons. My WHITE COTTON SATEEN JACKET, A254575, adds the right kind of panache for that SPECTATOR LOOK. Belt the top for a more cinched in waist look….or leave it unbelted, and let the top follow the lines of the body for a semi fitted look…………………This is the perfect top to accessorize. I have chosen the BLACK WATERFALL NECKLACE and EARRING SET, J321804 to pick up the color of the pants and BLACK PATENT BELT. If she were wearing white pants I would have gone with the White Waterfall set for a lighter more summery look. Either way you can’t go wrong. With most knits this is easy care and perfect for travel. The content is poly/span…………If you liked the concept of the “Braided Knit”…..I think you will like this also…..even thought they are very different patterns………………………….enjoy………………..much Love…………………………Louis
Louis, would you pair this knit with ponte knit pants and or jackets?
Dear Carol….yes as you can see in the photos I have the top with a solid black pant. Ponte would be perfect.
Dear Carol….yes…..you can see in the picture the knit top with solid pants….any solid fabric will work…..especially ponte
Hi Louis,
Does the new green top match the green in the navy and green striped cardigan? Love your clothes!
Dear Pat I think the colors work very well together
Love this and my favorite shade of green. This is definitely a non-negotiable I have to have this. Beautiful Louis.
Louis, love the green I was just wondering if it would be a tonal look for the malachite wool blazer from a couple of years back. Thank you for all that you do for us. Your style of clothes are just timeless and beautiful.
Dear Cheri….I no longer have that sample so I can’t check, but I think they are very different greens…..if I remember correctly???
Thank you for answering I will get the top and skirt in green anyway. Love that green I have plenty of pants that I can wear the top with and the skirt is just a bonus.
Wild over this, Louis! Is this a cotton knit? What is the composition of the fibers?
The Dell’Olio Genius Composition: Original Fabrics; Original Designs; Incomparable and Lush Colors
Finally detected the content — poly/span.
This can go with the dark tan suit (cotton sateen) from a few years ago and the sand crepe blazer with matching pants. Lovely colors.
Loving this new textured fabric, Louis! It is evocative of the “bandage” fabrics. The Black is a must have and heck, I think I’m going to have to get all of them! Destined to be a classic.
By the way, I am up in Kennebunkport on vacation and living on the beach in my Linea Leisure pieces. The Hoodie and Crop Leggings are perfect for early morning walks on the beach.
Louis, you said you did three styles in this fabric. I hope the third is a jacket or cardigan!
Love the texture of the fabric. Surprised that the green is the color that’s speaking to me in this top, probably because of how you have styled it. I am concerned that the top looks somewhat sheer stretched over the bust. Louis, is this top a Pass for us bustier gals? You know I live for my Linea.
It is a substantial fabric as I said, so it should not be a problem if you buy it in the correct size.
Dear queendive….we also fit production on a 1x model and no problems
Love this fabric and the simple clean lines of these two pieces. I’m going for black top and skirt and a blue top and green top. Do you know if the blue color goes with the blue in the zig zag skirt? Hope so.
Dear HL…I checked my samples and they look GREAT together….very interesting the mix of textures….very designer.
Does this skirt go with either of the green WK tunics you did this past spring? One had the 3/4 sleeves with your signature buttons and the other had the center seam with the split.
Dear Julia….I checked with both sweaters…..I didn’t realize the sweaters were such different greens when you put them together. The skirt works best with the 3/4 sleeve tunic and the gold buttons….the split front is a little too yellow of a green.
Interesting fabric…how does it feel in the hand? Does it have much stretch?
It is a knit so,it does have stretch.
Oh my gosh, my wallet is weeping…I want to order ALL THE THINGS!!!
I love the braided tops – bought them in all three colors. I think I’ll be getting this top in all three as well, and one of the skirts. Beautiful!
dear Debbie, I no longer have those samples so I can’t compare the colors.
Dear Louis,
Love this!! Do you think this works with the green/white floral print jacket from a few years ago? Always looking for the right green for that jacket…
Debbie…Me too! I was going through my closet last week and when looking at the green/white floral jacket wished I had a green top to wear with a white skirt I have.. hope this top works!
HL-I am getting it regardless. If it works- Bonus!!!
ME TOO!! Why not. I love green; makes me feel perky.
