Sneak Peek #4 is the A221802, “Cotton PEPLUM Shirt”. I’m calling it the “Lily” shirt. The cotton/span is the exact same fabric as the Kate, Robyn and Poet shirts. This shirt has a wing collar and a classicΒ button cuffed sleeve….. and that’s where it departs from your classic shirt. It has a zip front, always a gold zipper. The body of the blouse, front and back, is seamed for shape. The peplum at the bottom of the shirt creates a gentle ruffle [not too much], which gives the silhouette of the shirt a feminine flare effect. The seam where the peplum is attached dips slightly in the back to follow the natural curve of the body. The colors are white and my “signature navy”. With each group of clothes I try to balance out the dressy portion with a more casual selection. Sometimes, the line between dressy and casual gets blurred. This shirt is a prime example of this. As you can see from the photos I have the shirt paired with a Linea navy pencil skirt and ropes of pearls…..perfect for a board meeting, charity function, or a dinner out. In another photo I have it paired with jeans and Capri pants. Whatever your lifestyle, this is one item that will work for most of you. You can even leave it totally unzipped, worn over a “NEW NAVY TANK”. as an up dated shirt jacket….perfect for the hot summer months and air conditioned rooms. This is a SHAPED shirt, so for my “Apples”, take note of the “click here measurements”…….again it always looks good worn open as a shirt jacket. This is one “Lily” I think many of you are going to fall in love with…………..much Love, Louis

Louis, I have a question~~
How long is the horizontal seam ( right before the peplum ).. I’m long waisted and hope this will fall on or close to my waist.
Thanks!
OMG, these blouses are to DIE FOR!!! Sure hope there are plenty of these to go around as they will surely be a HUGE hit!!!
Mr. Dell’Olio, without having to give us all the “click here” measurements, would you say this one is going to run true to size? That’s what I pretty much gleened from your post but just want to make sure.
This one is a winner!!!
I would say yes….No one has said it’s running small or large….I think it is pretty true to Linea sizing………..If you are a small I’d order a small etc. If you have special needs I.E a large bust then you will have to make that determination what size would suit you best. If you are large chested but have a small waist I’d go for the smaller size, wear it unzipped and add a tank……
…………….regards, Louis
I know white would kill, but would you pair the navy with the sage pencil skirt (A213329)from last year (the one with the exposed back zipper) or is that a weird color combo? Would you add a third color to give some brightness?
Anything can be made to work if you add the right accessories. I would even try the olive tank under it to bring the sage color up [or a sage tank if you can find one]. As for color you can try that but Stark white is just as good as color. If you have the “Kate or the Robyn in navy to can start playing now….they are pretty much the same color…………LDO
Thanks. I will grab my navy Robyn and do some mixing…I just love the idea of a zipper coming and going, so happy I own that particular skirt!
WOW! I love this one – will have to have it both colors! Another happy apple!! π
I love a peplum!
Louis,
How much fun these will be to wear! Your navy is such a great color. And white is a must have to go with black and with jeans! Thanks, Louis! Ten more days!
Love,
Celia
LOVE!!! And with a cat named Lilliput (Lili) how can I say no?!! Am seriously in love with this shirt and just bought a Givenchy scarf that will be perfect with it. But Louis, we NEED those chain earrings!!!
I think you all need them too and you would all have them if it were up to me…..alas….it is not.
I started a thread on the QVC Linea Forum. :-).
Oh, Louis,
These are just delightful; simple, clean, elegant and a little edgy. I do find that often a gentle peplum like this flatters my apple/pear shape; never can decide which I am LOL … I do always check the “click here” measurements; sometimes it helps, sometimes not, and I’m pretty honest about my own “inches” … those darts do worry me though. IF there are any left by the time Q puts up those “click here” measurements (which I doubt) and they’re okay for me, that Navy has my name!
Question for you, if you can answer this one: Do the “Click Here” measurements originate with the designers, or does Q measure and provide the numbers posted? If that’s not “public” info, just ignore this question π

P.S. Don’t forget to let us know in a few weeks what you and the buyers think would be a good month/season to target our write-in request for a “Live” show.
I really don’t know who supplies the measurements for the “click here”. As for the “Live” I just think letting them know you all would like it and want to attend is more important than the when……regards, Louis
Hi Louis,
Well, that means someone other than you does the “click here” … π
“Live Show” … the ladies on the forum have been talking and waiting to see if YOU had a preference for a target date/season … we’ll go full out on our campaign then, and let Q know WHAT we want, and when we accomplish it, we’ll let you and them decide the WHEN LOL … Stay tuned π
Thanks again,

We apples are so happy! You’re going to make us look like an hourglass. What a beauty. I’m hoping to wear the navy with the chain print and hydrangea print skirts from last summer.

They would look great together.
Oh Louis! LOL, how did you know I was hoping for a fit and flare design from you? I will size up and it will take 10 lbs off me. I love it, Thank you. π
