………………….The FALLING LEAVES & EARRING SET……..J325475, is coming at the end of the month, early Aug……With OLO [ on line only] items I never know for sure when they will be posted……….The Falling Leaves necklace and earring is a new direction I am taking in jewelry…..a more DELICATE direction. Does this make statement necklaces obsolete?…absolutely NOT……Do you wear one style top or T shirt or sweater…..I’m sure the answer is a resounding NO……”Variety is the spice of life”…..So why the new direction? I was feeling with the surge of more casual clothes there was going to be a need for a different type of jewelry…….something less serious, lighter, airier…..less of a statement….. I know many have gotten used to seeing or even wearing statement necklaces with causal clothes, but it definitely makes casual more dressy……This new direction in jewelry was meant to be comfortable worn both ways….casual and dressy…whichever you chose….When you are going out for errands, and just want something simple to wear without making such a major statement….this is the necklace to wear…..This is the necklace to wear with T’s, Hoodies etc……..Of all the colors this Leaf set is avail in the RUSSIAN GOLD is probably the dressiest. It takes on the look of something that may have been worn in ANCIENT ROME or GREECE. The leaves have a hand made ARTISAN look…..The necklace is approx. 40 inches long to 43 inches long with the extender. This length will give you many options on how you can wear it, as you can see from the photos above. It looks wonderful as a single strand worn long…..doubled around the neck….. cross body [this will only work for small women]…..or even as a belt [ but that will take a little manipulating]……..With a set of two….the look immediately becomes more dramatic. The photos on the left show two necklaces worn different ways…..two long, two doubled, two that are worn one long and one doubled…and cross body in different directions. The necklace and earring are SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT, so for those of you who take that into consideration…..these pieces are feather weight. The actual leaf itself has a wave effect so it catches the light, and has a wonderful gleam. You can see from the profile of the earring, which is the same component as the necklace, just how thin and delicate they look……However delicate they may look….they are strong pieces.The chain I chose for this necklace is delicate also…but not whimpy. I think the proportions are perfect…….It doesn’t matter what size or how tall you are…….this is a necklace that works for everyone…..I think you will have fun trying the necklace different ways and even combining it with pieces you already own……We are offering the EARRING as a set with the necklace because it was more cost efficient not to price the earring separately with separate boxes, and shipping. The Leaf is approx. 2 1/4 inches long and is pierced only. Again, it is the same component as the necklace and these are very very light weight….you won’t even know you are wearing them……not until someone says “what pretty earrings”. If the earring isn’t for you it will make a wonderful gift. Do you know if the ear wires on your earrings are nickel-free? I have a severe allergy to nickel and some other base metal mixes, though nickel is the worst.
My grandpa dealt in high-end costume (fashion) as well as fine jewelry. He told me pierced earring were where I’d need 14kt or higher and darn it, he was right.
They are supposed to be, and I’ve never had a complaint, but if there is a specific earring you are asking about I will check.
Thank you. I appreciate it. Thirty-two years ago I was so mad at Grandpa for saying the bright glittery drugstore earrings were bad for me, but he was right.

Dear Melissa….I’m excited for you, and I’m so happy you have decided to try my Linea jewelry…..Fashion jewelry has been around for centuries. I think it all started when aristocrats and royalty had their real gems copied. They were called “paste”. They wore them without anyone knowing they were copies and kept the real in the vault for safe keeping. Then Queen Victoria wore Black Jet when her husband Prince Albert died, and she would not wear jewels in respect to him. She made black jet fashionable, though that was not her purpose. Chanel made “fashion Jewelry” popular in the 20s and 30s and hired an Italian jewelry designer named Verdura [not sure of spelling], to design jewelry for her collections. They are still producing his Chanel fashion jewelry today.His real jewelry is just as amazing, and that too is still being made. Google his name and I’m sure you will recognize his pieces. My advice about “Fashion Jewelry” is this….avoid the junk. Most of the jewelry in the chain discount stores is really poor quality. It’s Junk jewelry that’s really throw away. It does have a place in fashion. Some would call it “Cheap Chic”, but it’s really garbage. I would not recommend it for you.
Louis, I love hearing the background about fashion jewelry. My mom was a stewardess back in the late 50’s, early 60’s. She didn’t come from much but learned to appreciate the good things in life from her travels to Hong Kong, Japan, Africa, Europe, Tahiti…

I am so excited for these!!! I will be getting one of each color. This really suits my casual lifestyle. And since I don’t have a lot of fashion jewelry, I feel like I can splurge, especially when I understand the quality and uniqueness of these pieces.
I also splurged on the nugget necklaces in each color so I have the perfect statement necklace when I need it.
