…………………………I know many of you are very curious about the outerwear that is to come……so…………I thought I’d give you a preview……………From left to right………..THE ZEBRA JACQUARD HOODED COAT, A267936……………THE TRENCH, A267875A…………..THE QUILTED JACKET/SWEATER, A267878……………………….and…………THE LEATHER MOTO ASYMMETRICAL ZIP JACKET, A267935…………….The four pieces are scheduled to be delivered in Sept and October, so I’m not sure when they will be aired…..one never know what planning has in store for me……..This is JUST A PREVIEW, so please resist asking me a lot of questions it is just too early to answer. I will give you brief descriptions to hold you over…………………………..
The ZEBRA COAT, is a wool blend, and is fully lined….It has a button front, patch pockets, and a HOOD……….It will be avail in…….HEATHER GREY/BLACK…………BLUE/BLACK…………..TOBACCO/BLACK
The TRENCH, IMHO is the best trench I have done since the satin trench from years ago. If you own it you know what I mean. The coat is in the same type of fabric as my pinstripe suit, only heavier, so you know the quality is excellent……..The coat is entirely faced and lined in BLACK. When the lapels are opened you see the contrast black against the color of the coat………………..The colors are………………..BURGUNDY/BLACK………………..NAVY/BLACK………………….OLIVE/BLACK…………………………………
The QUILTED JACKET…..I lightly call this outerwear, because in Florida or any place in the USA wear a sweater or light jacket is all you may need, this zip front jacket will do the trick. The front is lightly quilted in a TECHNO fabric in a diamond design, and the side panels and top yoke are quilted in a vertical channel design. The collar, sleeves and entire back are WHISPER KNIT………………………. This can easily be worn in colder climates as an indoor jacket instead of the traditional blazer………………..
……………….The colors………………..BLACK………………ALABASTER, and yes, the Alabaster s/s WK sweater matches……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
THE MOTO JACKET…………is SUPERB……The quality and workmanship could easily put this jacket in the $500 range in any high end store. The jacket is a combination of RIB KNIT and LEATHER……………The colors are VERY DEEP and DARK. I think they are rich and unique……certainly something you will not find anywhere……that is except for…………………BLACK, which is mandatory…………DEEP SPRUCE………and ……….PLUM…..are the two additional colors………………………………………………..
………………………………………I hope you enjoy this little Sunday Sneak Peek………………………….much Love……………………..Louis
I saw the Zebra coat tonight. It is fabulous. When do you think it will be offered? I am partial to the the Tobacco and Black. It will go great with my new Tobacco swing sweater when I purchase.
Also on the forum there are postings that PTB have decided to reorder the slim pants. I am so happy. Your slim ankle pants are the best pants I have every purchased on QVC. They are just perfect in every way.
Louis, thank you again for all of your information and assistance.
Dear Joanne….the Zebra coat should be on my Oct 7th 1:00pm show…..fingers crossed.I too was very surprised and happy the slim pant was reordered. I had told the buyers that from what I could tell from feed back and the reviews my ladies really like this pant, and should be given reorder consideration…..but….it all depends on the return numbers, which I guess were low enough to place a reorder.
Hi. Louis
These look fabulous. Soo. Interested in the motto jacket. When can we see pictures. Any idea. of the length.?
Thank you.
Vicki mayo
The moto jacket isn’t due until Oct, so,it will be some time….I haven’t even received the samples yet.
Will wait ! Also want a trench Although my credit card is very tired from last visit. Lol
Thx Louis
Dear Vicki…….as of right now the motto is due on my Oct. 7th show. I have lots to do before I can post a pic of that style.
Thanks for the pictures. Are you going to show actual pictures of coats. On the trench – what will be black on the coats beside the lining
Thanks
Yes…..pictures tomorrow…….the opposite side of the belt so when it’s tied the black will show up, and the inside of the lapels, so when it’s opened and the lapels are turned back you will see black
OMG….I am anxious to see these presented especially the zebra coat, the trench coat and the quilted jacket for sure in the alabaster color. I was looking for a nice quilted jacket for a long time but gave up for one reason or another.
Again you are so kind to keep us posted on your new designs. When you hear about the new trench being posted, please let us know so we can prebuy the trench prior to airing. Only decision is which color. Thank you Louis.
Yes, I’ll be waiting to prebuy the trench in navy!
fingers crossed XXXXX
I thought my credit card would get a break when the fall/winter items became available. It is still smokin’ from your last visits…
In Florida, I don’t need many warm clothes and I barely get to wear the ones I have. Last season, I was always looking for an opportunity to wear my swing sweaters (love my mulberry!). However, you will always be able to tempt me.
I’m anxious to see the quilted jacket/sweater. I got your alabaster s/s top and two-tone cardigan (got the grey set too). Love! I can imagine that the alabaster quilted jacket will be just as gorgeous.
And a moto jacket…in plum??? I can’t wait to see this. May have to get it. Hopefully it’s not toooo warm.
Thanks for the sneak peeks!
Dear Melissa, the quilted jacket is very light weight and the quilting is almost flat. It’s more for the quilted pattern than anything else. The sleeves and back are in the WK jersey so they are even lighter than the Mulberry swing sweater. I did this because I knew it would be layered with another piece. The azip jacket and sweater in Alabaster is really beautiful…….The Plum moto jacket is something else
Gosh Louis, the quilted jacket sounds just gorgeous! I’ll have to get it in alabaster and black. Any shade of purple is my color, so that plum moto jacket will be mine too. Woohoo!
Melissa…..the plum is very very dark, but very unusual…just want you to know
Thanks Louis! I’ll wait for your pics before I decide on a color. But it sounds like something I’d like. I’m all for unusual!
Darn, now I need to clean out my closets again to make room for these beauties!
Oh, thanks. This is fun. I can just imagine if that little cap was WK in the alabaster to match the jacket. 🙂
A SPECIAL REQUEST
Louis, if possible, please have Brunette Maria (or any other larger-sized QVC model) wear each of your new pieces of outerwear when they are shown. Believe me, it would be a potent visual aid for some of us as we decide what to buy — and having a larger model wear each of the new coats/jackets might help reduce unnecessary returns. Thank you.
Dear Goldie…..sometimes it isn’t possible if the sells are back to back, but where I can I will.I believe the trench coat will be on a PM Style, but I have no date yet.
Thank you so much for responding, Louis. I can understand that there are more factors than I can imagine going into the decision of who struts down the runway in which garment. (The trench, I think, will be universally doable for your ladies, but that alluring zebra does tempt. I’d love to see one of the models who wear the larger sizes in it. Same goes for the moto.)
I love hooded coats. I’m hoping the cute zebra coat is long enough to cover all of my Linea tunic tops.
Dear Chris….it’s definitely long enough
Hi, Louis. Is the Moto Jacket in Suede or Smooth leather? I enlarged the picture and saw your notes that said Suede and Knit. Thanks.
It’s in Leather…..don’t go by the notes. Those are my initial thoughts, but things change as we go along.
Dear Louis —
Wow! These designs are gorgeous! Each one is beautiful in its own way. Thanks so much for sharing!
The trench is drawn in a light color — perhaps to show details — but are you also thinking about a white trench for spring? That would be stunning too.
Looking forward!
I spy a two-way zipper! Did it make it to the final? I cannot wait to see all of these in your sneak peeks. And I just have to mention how much I like your drawings in and of themselves with the play of light on the faces that seem to say with glee “Look! You are gonna LOVE it as much as I love showing it to you right now.”
Dear PC….unfortunately the type of zipper we used in the quilted jacket does not come in a two way style, but it’s all dyed to match which really looks good.
Dear Louis,
Thanks for the preview of all the stylish outerwear coming our way! Really love the trench and quilted jacket, but I think I can find room in my closet for all four! Each one serves a different purpose. Hard choices, that’s for sure!
I think I’m going to need a bigger closet.
EVERYTHING AND I MEAN EVERYTHING LOOKS FABULOUS AND A MUST HAVE!!!! One tiny question. Is the trench waterproof?
No, it’s a regular coat, not a rain coat.
On the trench coat are the buttons dyed to match the coats? Will burgundy have burgundy buttons or black?
All buttons on all coats are black
Louis,
Your Outerwear Designs are Outstanding! Thank you for showing them early.
Must have that Zebra Coat – love the shape, the length, the jacquard pattern, the pockets, the hood – and that it buttons! Will get the Grey/Black and Tobacco/Black (one will be for a Family Member – and we wear the same size!
I do not have a Trench Coat – so will get the Olive! And that Alabaster Quilted Jacket is also on my Must Have List!
We have had a very cool Summer – barely any really humid days! My Linea Leisure Pants & Skirts – WK Kimono Sweaters & Bolero – Jean Jackets – and Maxi/Midi Dresses have been well worn this Summer!
Am ready for some new Outerwear!
Oh my, Louis, it’s a Linea Winter Wonderland! I am so going down the rabbit hole….
Okay….if you’re Alice, am I the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit or the CAT!?
Oh, no doubt … the Cheshire Cat, with stunning sneak hints like this 🙂
I need a new trench so badly! I cannot wait. It looks like it is knee length which is perfect! Thank you Louis. You anticipated my need for a new trench coat.
I have the satin trench you refer to (mine is olive green) and it looks for all the world like Burberry Prorsum. I also have a coat (not a trench) you did for us that has a zip out lining –its an evening coat though I wore it for years with jeans. I have to dig that one out. You really do fabulous outer wear. I think (gasp) I may try one of the animal print coats. Now that’s chic.
Kate……I did this exact jacquard coat for Anne Klein. The fabric was a little different….wool/cashmere, but the pattern and colors are the same. It’s a jacquard, not printed, so the yarns are dyed and then the Zebra pattern is woven…..it’s very special. I will be showing them with my new TUXEDO STRIPE TIGHTS…….You can wear the grey/black coat with your black skort and the tights in grey with the black tuxedo stripe and shoe boots…..TRE CHIC……………..LOVE that Olive trench coat….it never goes out of style and always looks edgy!
Seriously, folks, these are challenging Linea times.
Just going to mail you my checkbook. I wear size small.
