……………………………….The BURGUNDY COLOR is very rich……like a very expensive bottle of wine……deeper than the photos. The CONTRAST of the BLACK LAPEL and BUTTONS is well seen in the photos above, and gives the coat a special distinction…………Over a Turtleneck and skirt, over a Jewel neck and slim pants, over a tunic and leggings, over a dress, or just over a pair of JEANS…..this is a coat that can fit into anyone’s lifestyle……There is no other style of coat that adds the GLAMOUR, MYSTERY and ALLURE that a TRENCH COAT does. It’s down right sexy. and that’s a good thing!…………………………enjoy…………………………..much Love…………………………….Louis
WOW!! This coat arrived and all I can say is this is beautiful!! Heavy weight, well made design, color and fit for me. Yes,I did figure out what size to get (the 10). Even DH complimented me on it and he said, “That looks really great on you!! Red is your color!”
I love the double loops on the coat (gives a person the option of where to place the belt). The button close pockets is another great design element and of course the single vent (stitched shut for now) in the back. Well worth the cost!! Add another $100 to this coat if it was from a B & M store.
Goldie, P.S…Still missing you on the forum…it’s just not the same without you!
Grace, thank you. It was fun (much of the time).
Is the buckle to the burgundy– gunmetal color or black?
Black…..like the buttons
A word to the wise: If you love the merlot and burgundy colors, strike during the Pantone year of marsala. It isn’t often that you see a burgundy trench coat. (Excuse my over-sharing this morning, but the trench coat is my all-time favorite coat. And I love burgundy.) “Make hay while the sun shines,” ladies.
So true Ms. Goldie! While I think the black/blue will be very popular, as well as the olive, this delicious merlot color, I predict will be the first to go. I for one will not be caught asleep at the summit order button !
Words of wisdom, Goldie! I may need to rethink my color choices…I’m definitely getting the navy and I thought the olive, too. But, the burgundy is very special and I have all those aubergine pieces to match. It’s also wonderful with the many greys in my wardrobe. Decisions, decisions…
Susan and Grace, this trench coat is a humdinger. Knowing that I cannot have all that my hungry eyes desire, I am going to have to leave the zebra coat behind for the trench’s elegantly classic look. I am going for the burgundy and olive (not that I don’t like the navy, but I have to invoke some discipline here). That’s just how it is. For the sake of beauty, this outcome is actually a good one. The zebra coat will look better on someone else, I am certain.
Goldie, I hate to make choices & invoke any discipline, especially with Linea purchases! I really want all three colors now! And, I have to admit, I’m intrigued by the zebra coat, which is way out of my lane. I do touches of animal print–not full-on print. So, maybe I should let that one go, because I know I’ll get much more wear out of the very classic trench coats. I wonder what the price point will be for the trench? I’m assuming Louis will know when QVC releases it online?
I’m with you on this one Grace- it will go splendidly with all the grey (my new black) in my wardrobe. I also love the zebra coat, but I have taken the walk on the wild side often, so this makes it a bit easier for me in my mind. And Goldie, I concur- it will undoubtedly look better on someone else besides me. It is only my “winter” coloring keeping me from that delightful olive. At least for now. (smile)
