Home Safe and Sound

Jac and I made it home SAFE and SOUND and I have to say it was a trying trip. We saw quite a few skid outs along the NJ Turnpike and the CT Turnpike so we were happy to get home, start a fire in the fireplace and have out girls show us how much they missed us! We were surprised by the amount of snow we received….8 inches. We were so tired I think we both fell asleep before our heads hit the pillows. There is nothing like being in your own bed!! I had a wonderful message from my dear Lisa Mason when I got home!!! We had a nice long chat today and promised each other the four of us will get together for dinner real soon. I told her I would say hello to all of you and she wanted you all to know she is doing great. From what she told me that is one lady who isn’t letting any grass grow under her feet. I really do adore her. It’s time for me to go and watch the second football game. NE won now I have to watch my Giants win….that will make for one great Super Bowl.

If you are wondering what the sticks are for in the photo…..they aren’t to see how deep the snow is! They keep the geese off the lawn. What you can’t see are the strings criss crossing  from stick to stick…..it keeps them from landing. They get used to going somewhere else and in the spring we take them down and we haven’t had a problem ever since we started doing this. The owner of the garden center gave me this tip and it works! If you think the picture looks cold…..it is! The wind off the water can take your breath away.

Once again, I want to thank you  for all the support you have shown to Jac and myself…..it means very much to us………much Love, Louis

Beautiful pictures and a fabulous show.. I wish QVC would give you the same time slot once a month at a resonable hour I am sure these last shows were exhausting.. I am so happy I found your beautiful fashion line, blog and sneak peaks so excited for my packages to come especially faux suede jacket in black !!
I love to see what Jac is modeling as I am also blonde and tall .. she always looks fabulous!!! and I can get an idea how the clothes just might look on me..

I know you and Jac must have been very tired with QVC putting you both on at 3:00 a.m., and then at 8:00 a.m. It would be difficult for anyone, much less for someone who has the added stress of putting on a fashion show. It might almost be worth finding a scenic and cozy bed and breakfast for you and Jac to visit on the ride home from your next show to break up your trip. I’m not so sure what your girls would think of that, though. As always, thanks so much for all you do for us.

I received a very telling survey from QVC this week. It dove down into questions like, how do you think the country is doing economically? How are you doing economically? How do you expect to be doing economically in six months compared to now? Do you think you’ll be spending more at QVC six months from now than you are today? It was very discouraging seeing QVC go from its customer oriented approach to how much $$$$$$$$$$ can we expect from you. If QVC had asked a question about what was working and what was not working, I would have said that Linea was about the only thing working for QVC. The survey didn’t care enough to ask, though.

    Louis,

Thank you for another wonderful visit to QVC. The clothes, as usual, were so beautiful and I can’t wait for my purchases to arrive. But it’s not just about fashion. Whenever you and Jac are on, it’s like visiting with family.

Louis and Jac, Thanks so much for two wonderful shows (and a bit of style on Saturday AM). Your hard work to provide us with “sneak peeks” greatly eases the process of deciding in advance what to order so I can place online orders hours before the shows and make sure I don’t miss out. The crepe pants and the boatneck sweaters were at the top of my shopping list and they virtually sold out in minutes of appearing on-air.

Love your beautiful photo of snow on the water. It was a similar scene down here on the Chesapeake Bay, although only about 2 inches of snow. Our dogs get very confused by the snow, especially the Bichon (“ten pounds of trouble.”) So they don’t want to stay outside for very long and race back inside for “cookies” and a towel rub-down of their snowy paws!

Can’t wait for sneak peeks of items coming on the Feb 3 show!

Thanks for this sneak peek along with all the others. It looks so peaceful there.

That’s quite a pile of snow for so close to the water. Looks like heaven to this SoCal girl! Betting the dogs stuck their little noses out the door, thought better of it and headed back to the couch. Thank you for 2 (and a bit of AMS) great shows and can’t wait to see what you bring us in just a few weeks.

Glad you’re home safe and the puppies are happy again. Ohh, it looks so cold; always cold on the water; nothing takes the chill off like a roaring fire. Walter says Congratulations on the Giants win!! How nice to hear about Lisa Mason; she was an ocean of gracious dignity at Q and she is sorely missed; it’s nice to hear she’s doing so well. Can’t wait for my new treasures to arrive; both the clothes and the AK fish necklace I snagged Friday night … thanks, and enjoy a bit of a rest.
