” FEB. SNEAK PEEK #1″

Sneak Peek #1 consists of two items:

A221808 is a new blazer in the same crepe fabric as the pearl button jacket reorder from Jan. This blazer is approx. 25 inches long for an XS. It has long sleeves that can easily be shortened for those that will need to. The jacket is fully lined in satin. This classic blazer has three patch pockets and a beautifully shaped notch collar and lapel. It has a three button front and I have chosen to dress this blazer with my new gold signature  button. There are 4 Ls pierced through the slightly domed button. The fit of the blazer is similar to the jacket with the pearl buttons so….order the same size. From the photos above you can see the many ways I have layered the blazer with shirts, the ” Kate “shirt, tanks and the new ballet neck sweater from this past show. Of course you can put anything you may already own under these classic colors. The jacket comes in NAVY, RED and IVORY…..all with the gold signature button. The Kate shirt in chambray blue or the Robyn in navy or the new chino will look timeless and All American. For bottoms, the choice is up to you. Jeans, dress pants, pencil skirts or my new swing trumpet skirt  are just a few options. If you have a little dress, that would be another great option. Again everyone should own a great blazer in Ivory, Navy and Red.

A221814 is the new crepe skirt….again the colors are Navy, Ivory and Red. The skirt is approx. 26 to 26 1/2 inches. It has a back zipper and side elastic panels in the waist band. The skirt has a 7 inch yoke from which the trumpet part of the skirt hangs. This allows the top of the skirt to remain clean without excess fabric. Again, I like the skirt MIXED or MATCHED with the blazer. It makes a beautiful all ivory suit with the ivory ballet neck sweater. Or very Americana…RED, WHITE and BLUE. The red skirt and the white Kate shirt make a strong statement on their own. If you have my navy rib cardigan….tie it over the shoulders or if you have the whole set in the ivory or navy it will look great with the skirt. My GOLD CHAIN or BYZANTINE jewelry are just two options to accessorize your new Spring suit.

I know you probably haven’t even received the clothes you just purchased, but my next show is only a week from Friday…..Feb. 3rd at 1:00pm. I will also be on the Feb. 3rd morning show that starts at 6:00am. I know you would want to see these sneak peeks before the shows. Take a deep breath, relax, you have time to think !………………………….Much Love, Louis

Hi, Louis! This red looks like a clear, primary red on my computer. How would you describe it? I start craving red with all the gray days of winter..

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s exactly that, but I want you to know it isn’t as intense a red as t appears due to the polyester content. Poly does not take intense bright colors well. I gave the same red for the crepe as for the ballet sweater, but the ballet sweater came out closer to what I wanted……all that said, it is a beautiful color and is certainly bright enough……Louis

Thanks, Louis! I noticed that the color is not as saturated in the pictures as that of the ballet sweater. Veering into the warm side of red is what would create a problem for me.

Oh Louis my head is still spinning around what I didn’t order from your last show and now I have to start all over again!! LOL I am sure that Navy Blazer wil be the first to go . getting ready for some Arizona sunshine and I ordered several of items with that in mind.. Thank you so much for such beautiful items to chose from.. I was tired too !!since i stayed up to watch you at 1 AM.. I was able to purchase a pair of the crepe pants in sand.. I wear usually a L or Xl do you think I should stay with a all one color look and go for the beige jacket or could I mix it up with another color..trying to decide which would be more sliming for a pear shape ..looking forward to February !!:)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s a tough one for me to answer. The sand is a beautiful color and perfect for Arizona. The thing about this color pant is it is very neutral because it is a little gray as apposed to yellow so it goes with a lot. To have a sand suit with the matching tank would be beautiful and you can always ad a black, aqua etc etc tank or shell to spike it up for another look. Og course the navy blazer that’s coming with the sand pant will look very chic too…..it’s all good.

I think the navy blazer will sell out first. I’m out on disability, and I even I want two of them, one in my present size and one the next size down!!! I’ve been waiting for this one. Thank you, Louis. First, your designs gave me the incentive to lose weight (nearly 35 pounds so far), and now you are helping me work hard to get back to work this spring. I walked one mile on the treadmill yesterday and my right leg didn’t work at all in late November (yet I still wore my new dressy Linea for Thanksgiving and Christmas!) Thank you for the inspiration, for the beautiful, high-end clothes that are still affordable at my mountain west teacher’s salary, for giving me something to look forward to, and for bringing this wonderful group of women together. Love and health to you and Jac. Deborah Perry, formerly of 73rd and 1st, NYC.

I’m getting the blazer in ivory. I love the buttons. I wish it came in black, too, but I love the ivory.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Makenzie,
Since I just did the pearl jacket in black, I thought navy would be a better choice….but….the IVORY is gorgeous!!!…………..Louis

  5. Chris/Jazzmom

Now who wouldn’t want to look like that? 😀
Love the skirts and the blazers.

  6. Celia

What classic, classic looks! There are endless possibilities with these pieces, and everyone can understand the way you have styled them. When I see people walk into a room looking like that, it’s like a breath of fresh air. It’s so simple to look so good in this fine quality of clothing.

    1. Sharon Santourian-Holman

You said it Celia and Chris! Ladies these pieces are lovely, how will I ever budget this? LOL, overtime at work. 🙂 Thank you Louis, love it!

  7. Carol

The Pearl color pearl button jacket from last winter/spring–does the new ivory skirt pair up with that, or would the navy or red be better?

    Thanks,
    crdlb

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol……they ALL would look great with the ivory jacket from last year since they are the same fabric. The ivorys looks great together.

  8. Susan Brown Gilmore

I love the blazers and the white shirt. These items are classic and timeless. Thank you Louis!

  9. Cathy

I see that Navy Blazer with jeans and my Blue Python crossover top … anyone else?

    Cathy in PA

    1. Paula

OMG ! Never thought of that , I am ordering the blue python now THANKS 🙂

      1. Cathy

        Happy to enable, anytime!

        1. Cathy

In fact, now I’m enabling myself … Blue Python Blouse and that Navy Skirt, with or without jacket … 🙂

  10. Mary/Shopsy

Sellouts? My money is on Navy Blazer.

  11. Cathy

Kate, my money on sell outs is the Navy Skirt first, followed by or along with the Navy Blazer LOL …

Louis, these are beautiful! ANY way we can get “click here” or a waist, hip measurement at the drop of the yoke; sometimes even though the waist and lower hip area fit, if the yoke itself is cut straight and doesn’t have a little a-line too, it’s tight at that yoke seam? Just trying to plan ahead … Love the red, white and blue, Thanks for the Peek!

    Cathy in PA

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cathy, that’s not something I have…I can tell you what the extra small measures but I don’t think that will help………..sorry

      1. Cathy

Even if I knew if the XS measures the same at the waist as at the yoke seam, or not, I’d know if it’s cut straight or with a little increase to that seam and that would help. It’s the difference between the waist and the hip that tells me if the garment will work with a yoke for my “curvy” figure. Otherwise, I’ll just stalk Q as usual and hope they put up the items at midnight so I can check the Click Here, but they don’t always give that measurement, and I try very hard to avoid returns. Thanks,

        Cathy in PA

  12. MH-MN

I hope that they ordered the ivory skirt in size small! It’s just perfect! I love the idea of pairing it with the navy and ivory sweaters and tanks. Thanks so much for the sneak peek. It warms and brightens this chilly gray January day.

  13. Kate

I’ll take one of each, thank you. Anyone want to take bets on what sells out first? Navy blazer?

    1. Paula

Hey Kate , Im with you on the navy, my phone will be at the ready on this one , well pretty much as always . I have the Q on speed dial when Louis is on.
