I plan to pair the lilac TN with wide/drapey cocoa brown velveteen pants, along with the chocolate leaves necklace/earrings.
sounds pretty.
I absolutely love this pale lilac I don’t see it posted on QVC?
Yes it is…A72448
Thanks I got it!!!! I’m still catching up on my reviews now that the weather has cooled down in the city I have been able to wear some of my WK this week…..perfect combo WK and fall.
Oh my. I love this color…in the dark of winter especially, this is what I will reach for when my spirit needs a little lift. It’s a feel-good color.
I agree with you, Grace. On a frigid morning when you’ve done nothing but breathe in heated air all night (and all the weeks before that moment), just choosing and wearing this fresh lilac will lighten your being.
I wonder how the purple faux suede boot-length skirt from several seasons ago will look with this particular shade of lilac. That skirt was somewhat “seasoned” when I began buying Linea around 2010.
There is no way you still have it around, Louis, is there? I suspect the two pieces together might make lovely music.
There is also the violet “Pleat Front Knit Boot Skirt” (A229474). Will any of these work with this new and fresh lilac? (I still have naturally dark hair and won’t be a silver fox, darn it. Some grey but look brunette.)
Dear Goldie…I nolonger have either of those pieces, but I would think the P Lilac will look good with them.
Great news! Thank you, Louis. This is such a lovely color (but color is your forte, among other things).
ooohhhh Louis – I love this gorgeous lilac. I do not have this color in my closet. Other than grey and black, what colors do you like paired with lilac? I purchased the plum leather jacket so the lilac t-neck is a no-brainer – beautiful! When you designed the collection, did you have anything else in mind to pair with this beauty?
Thanks for pastels!
Susan
Can I butt in? Susan, if you have the mushroom trousers from a few seasons ago, they’d be perfect with this color. Also, the olive slim pants, or the navy would be great. Do you have the pinstripe pants? Either iteration would look terrific.
Dear Susan,,,,,everything all of the suggestions that were made are perfect…for those who own the black pinstripe suit with the gay this would be outstanding….. There isn’t a color bottom that wont’t look good.
Loving the lilac! Any more pieces coming in this color?
….For spring…..the georgette safari shirt….and maybe the boho skirt? I don’t remember off hand.
The georgette safari shirt??? Yaaaaay!!!! I love that shirt. Have it in six colors. Can’t wait to get it in lilac. Thanks for responding!
Lilac was my runaway favorite color as a child. I am elated with this color, my first fashion love.
I’ve ordered the Lilac turtleneck also, to go with the Plum MOTO Jacket. First, I cancelled the MOTO jacket, thinking I had already bought too much. Then when I discovered there were some available today in my size, I decided to order it again (and got the OTO price plus easy pay, after speaking with the customer service representative). I was concerned about the size, but I ordered and received size 6 in the Alabaster Quilted Sweater Jacket, and that fits me just fine. So I ordered size 6 in the leather jacket. Hopefully, there will be enough room for a turtleneck underneath the jacket. I’ve had moto jackets in the past that didn’t work for me, because they were too short, had big collars and too many zippers. I think your moto jacket is more refined than any of the others I’ve seen.
Looking at this lilac turtleneck again, I’m wondering if the color may be too pale for me (auburn hair, light skin). Would I be better off with ivory (I have several ivory turtlenecks) when I wear the Plum moto jacket?
Lyn…this isn’t a washed out color….if you look good in Ivory this should work too.
Thanks, Louis. I just ordered the sweater in Pale Lilac. I have to watch that I don’t order “dusty” colors, as they don’t work for me, and wash me out.
Lilac is on the way to my house! ‘Owning it’ with my grey hair (after all, grey is the new blond). Thanks Mr. D’O for the beautiful colors.
This Pale Lilac is perfect with “silver foxes”….My mother had silver grey hair….almost white and Pale Lilac was her favorite color. Her bedroom was lilac.
Thank you for sharing that! It will make me smile every time I wear the sweater.
