Hello Everyone……Jac and I made it home in record breaking time….. 2hours and 40 minutes. I was surprised to see how little traffic there was for a Friday night at rush hour. Thank you ALL for an incredibly successful show and it is all because of you!
We went to our favorite little Italian Bistro for our Anniversary dinner. Now back to reality. Tomorrow we will have a very exciting day! We need to get a new double oven and a washer and dryer…a new water heater is on order and we came home to find out the TV isn’t working!!!!!!!. Why is it my parents had their appliances for 25 years and now…..five years is all they last….. tops…..the exciting life of a fashion designer.
After all the mundane stuff is taken care of…..I will have some exciting news for you!…..much, Love, Louis
Home Again!!!!

Cathy in PA
Louis, there may be a problem with the jersey pants as well. I ordered 3 pairs, indigo, expresso, and olive all in XS at a little before 11:00pm CST, as soon as they were posted. I checked my order today, and and the indigo and olive have gone to backorder. How on earth can the people who order as soon as they are presented not be able to get the orders. QVC’s business practices have certainly changed lately, and not for the better. I certainly do not fault you in any way, and appreciate all that you do for us, just thought you should be aware that there might be a problem with the pants in XS, as well as the blazers in 2X as others have stated.
I really enjoyed the show on Friday. I’ll admit I’m disappointed that the Twill Jacket (A221805) was not in the show, but that gives me something to look forward to in the future. I did get the beautiful hot pink sweater. I enjoyed the history lesson and your reference to Courrรฉges. I was in elementary school in the 60s, and my favorite dress was a bright orange, trapeze style dress with white circle pockets and zippers with rings as zipper pulls. Of course I wore my white “go-go” boots with it. That might explain why I’m so drawn to your tangerine jacket. In my 50s I’m really comfortable in a classic or preppy style, but I really love color. I’m looking forward to your next show!
Hi
Glad that you have made it home safe and sound and that you had a very nice anniversary with Jac. Sorry about the appliances though.
Wish I was home again as well. My two week trip to Germany is now at week four. Well at least when I get home (hopefully this coming weekend) I will be able to see and try on the clothes from the January and February shows.
I wanted to thank you for the sneak peaks, it really helps me figure out what to order especially when I am out of the country because I can’t watch the shows and as you know if you don’t order prior to the show – they are sold out. Especially this time around where the items were not on the site under the Louis section, so if I did not have the item numbers I would not have been able to find the items.
Looking forward to the March show(s) and to the surprise news coming soon.
Laura
Hi Laura,
I have a question….what do you mean when you say “the items were not on the site under the Louis section”? When I go to the Linea QVC site none of the pictures from the last show are posted and the show was two days ago. Is this just something that has happened on my computer or have others experienced this too?…………Where in Germany are you? There’s a wonderful, very old, food store/restaurant in Munich that is very famous. It’s in a residential area, it’s on a corner and it’s two or three stories high…..it’s very charming…..they have the best ever chocolate!!!
We’re all having trouble finding the new items. Regardless of what browser you use, they’re not showing up on your designated “Linea page”. They can be found if you type in “Linea” in the search bar and when all of your items appear, select “New additions”. Many people would not know to do that. Hopefully, you can bring this to the right person’s attention.
Louis,
None of the items from the last show are posted on your home page of the QVC website. Customers have to search them by item number or go to the program guide, find the show listing and click, “see items from this show.” I called customer service and told them but I’m sure if you gave them a roar it would be more effective.
Yours,
Celia
Thanks Celia,
I’m glad to hear it’s not my computer! I can’t take another thing breaking in this house!!!!LOL I have already notified the party in charge, but that’s when I thought it was only me. Now t5hat I know it’s happening to more I will e-mail her again!!………Louis
Hi Louis,
I also posted about this in the QVC Suggestion Box forum. The new items A221807, A221816, A221815, A221814, and A221808 do not appear under the Fashion tab. You can only find them by searching for Linea, or under Items Recently On Air. There may be others, but those are the new items that I found.
Dear Louis,
Q fixed the problem – thank you for your intervention.
Now when you go through the Fashion tab, and click on your name, ALL the items, including the new ones, are shown.
Honestly I don’t know if anyone was there to read my e-mail…..or they are just catching up…….
Its an absolute disgrace how the web people run the QVC website. As you know in the past, the new items were entered into the system at midnight Eastern time and were posted on the Linea webpage. Even if you sort the items by the term ‘What’s New’, the items aren’t showing up either. All I can say is thank you for giving us the item numbers in advance so that we could locate the items much faster.
As you know some of us are waging a letter writing campaign (again) and this is one of the aspects that is being brought to the PTB’s attention!
It’s been fixed now. Sad that you have to ‘remind’ people to do their job!
Hi
I see others have answered the question about the site not having your items posted. So once again thank your for having the sneak peeks and the item numbers so I could plug them in and be able to order.
I am currently in Sindelfingen just south of Stuttgart. It is about 2.5 hours away from Munich.
Germany is a wonderful country and I love my trips here although living out of a hotel for four weeks (originally supposed to be two) and working 12-18 hour days is exhausting. Thank god your clothes are very versatile so I can have a variety of outfits.
Dear Louis,
The show was a smashing success! I can’t wait for my red skirt, olive cardi, black pants, to mame a few. Oh yes, I ordered the python jacket from the previous show.
As for appliances, one of my biggest fears is that one will give out right before a Linea show. No kidding! What would I choose, more Linea or a new stove??? There is a saying bad things happen in “threes.” Hopefully you are done with appliances for a while.
Love,
Celia
You said we are going to want more of one of whatever the good news is. That could be just about anything, you devil!! Can’t wait to hear.
Louis,
Loved the shows and all the beautiful clothes. But, do you know that there is now another problem with supplying the Navy and Red blazers in size 2X? I stayed up until midnight to order as soon as they became available. As of this morning, they were In Process and now the status has changed to Back Ordered. I am not the only one. There is now a thread on the QVC Linea blog about this issue.
As you know, from the last show, the black pants were not available in Small and 2X. They mysteriously reappeared online on Thursday, the day before your Friday show.
Something very wrong is going on here. We love your clothes, but QVC is making it very difficult for your loyal customers. I hope you can help us. Thanks. Jane
Dear Jane,
After reading your post to me I went to see the post on the QVC forum. I didn’t know there was a problem and I certainly was never informed of any short shipping or boxes not found which I seriously doubt happened. QVC, in my experience for the past 11 and 3/4 years, has never permitted anything to be sold on air unless there was product to back it up. I can’t imagine them putting the jacket on the 1pm show if there were none to be sold. Why would they do that….it’s a waste of air time and air time is money. I know many of the ladies had ordered the navy prior to the 1pm show but I was not told by the producers not to show it because of too limited quantity. I was surprised and disappointed to see that there were actually some women who would think I would actually have something to do with this shortage. I do not have any say in how much QVC buys of anything from anyone…the amount they buy of an item is their business…..not mine. I will look into the jacket situation…………regards, Louis
Please don’t be disappointed by what the trolls say. That’s not even their most absurd ideas. Believe me, they are just showing their ignorance. They aren’t even your customers.
Ah, Louis, so sorry you had to read the negative post; never fear, there are legions of ladies to defend you ๐ although we try to ignore and take the high road so as not to give those few a bigger platform …
I’ll be curious to see what happened to the jackets; having run a warehouse on a much smaller scale, I’ve seen many a box disappear into thin air despite being in the inventory computer; sooner or later they turn up LOL. I got the skirts, but missed the jackets because of being on a plane during the show; I just felt I needed to see on the models and of course they sold out … but I’m looking forward to wearing the skirts with other items in my closet.
Can hardly wait for your “exciting news” !!!
Thanks, Louis, for your response. I checked the order status on the Navy and Red blazers in 2X this morning and the “Back Ordered” status has been changed back to “In Process” so we shall see what happens.
Interestingly, I had purchased the white blazer during the 1 pm show and that has shipped!
I will definitely update you as to what happens.
Thanks again for your beautiful clothes and for caring about your customers.
Jane
Thank you Louis for such a STUNNING show! I had the best time watching you & Shawn….you’re great together. Looks like your elbow mock sweater continues to be a success (good- more colors, please!)
Happy appliance hunting!
Louis,
Thank you for the once again beautiful offerings on yesterday’s show. I am most thankful I ordered what I absolutely ‘needed’ at the midnight hour. Finding the Butterfly Cardigan available to order was another pleasant surprise. Now, I cross my fingers that my items do not stay “in process” for 6 days as did the last order.
UGH!
Happy Anniversary to you and your bride, and best wishes for many more happy anniversaries together.
So sorry to hear about the appliance shutdowns – so frustrating and maddening, especially happening all at once.
Please get all of your house business taken care of so you can share your exciting news with us!(Patience has never been one of my virtues!) As either Jayne or Gabrielle said on the Morning Show – you are a tease!! LOL!
Wonderful programs!! Sorry to hear about the multi breakdown of your appliances. You sure it isn’t technology rebelling against you like in the Twilight Zone episode– ‘A Thing About Machines’? LOL
I cannot wait to receive my red blazer and skirt set and the espresso tribal print top with the matching pants. I am planning on pairing the red outfit with my perfectly pink bow tie sweater for Valentine’s Day.
I’m still on a Linea High today!
What great shows full of marvelous clothes.
I’m excited to be getting that butterfly sweater; your sneak peeks convinced me I’m meant to have one..or two?
I’m so glad you had a lovely dinner and an uneventful drive home.
Appliances do talk to one another behind our backs.. how else would they all manage to fail at the same time? Good luck with your shopping this weekend.
I’ve always said you are quite the tease; this “news” is just another delightful example~
Have a great weekend!
Good morning Louis, Jac and the “Girls”,
The shows were wonderful yesterday “Mr. Top Rated”. Gabrielle, Jane and Shawn really showed alot of enthusiasm and I’m hoping we get more inventory and reorders; fingers crossed.
I made sure I ordered the navy blazer and pants at midnight since I knew they’d sell out. I received the longer pencil skirt the other day and so glad I didn’t wait since it sold out in my size during the morning show. I also grabbed the elusive black pants in S.
Hope you had a great anniversary dinner but sorry that you have to buy new appliances. I have a dw and wall oven that are over 30 yrs old and and they are still ticking.
Can’t wait to hear the exciting news : )
Dear Dawn…..it really is a mystery to me what happened to the black pants in size small? I asked my manufacturer if there was a problem with the black pant in that size and another size that seemed to be missing and she said no. Everything was shipped and everything was passed by Quality Control. I think Kate may have been right when she joked that a missing box showed up! LOL
I’m happy you are pleased with the longer pencil skirt. So many women asked for it…..I just hope the response to it was strong enough to bring it back in additional colors………regards, Louis
I’m so disappointed that you don’t know where the skirt was found. I had pictured you with your sword and shield, fighting your way through the QVC warehouse until you found the box and returned it safely to its SKU!
I like my version better anyway.
crdlb
Louis,
I would love to see more colors in the new longer length pencil skirt since I can mix & match your pieces. I also love the bohos and I wear them 4 seasons — from sandals to boots!
Thanks again!
Dear Dawn,
Let’s hope it sold well enough to be reordered…….
Agree with Dawn. I got mine and I’m going to love it as the Chicago weather turns warmer.
Thank you for another excellent show. I purchased too many wonderful items, tribal prints, butterfly cardis, navy blazer, pp mock neck, safari jackets…..oh, my!
It sounds as if you and Jac had an enjoyable aniversary dinner. I wonder if this is the stainless steel anniversary!?
We have an imp who looks over our kitchen appliances. It never fails, when I have a major holiday dinner (sometimes more) of the applainces fail. One Thanksgiving we had an improvised bar-b-qued turkey dinner when the oven decided to go up! My new oven has a 180 page manual, it’s too computerized for my liking!
I can’t wait to hear your news!
Regards to you, Jac and the girls for a great weekend……GO GIANTS!
Judi
GO GIANTS!!!!!
Hi Louis,
Missed the show, but loved the videos – settled in with a nice glass of pinot and watched “reruns” when I got home from work! I stocked up on “basics” this time. Got that fantastic mock neck in black, white and (gasp) hot pink and grabbed the navy and sand tanks before they disappeared. I want them all in my closet when I need them! And bought the navy butterfly cardi sight unseen – which I swore not to do – but I can’t wait to wear it with your navy pencil skirt.
And white jeans in March!? Wowza!
Louis, “Anonymous” is me … forgetting to fill out the form before hitting submit.
Mystery solved! Enjay did you look at my sneak peak of the butterfly sweater? It’s pretty accurate. Enjoy your HOT PINK!! it’s a GREAT color….Louis
I bought it because of that Sneak Peak! Thought it would look great with jeans, too. And I think the Hudson may overflow its banks … I bought a color other than black in the mockneck (but bought the black, too!)
It was a great show and jewelry would be wonderful! I ordered my red jacket and ivory skirt before the show and I am so glad I did. I have my eye on a butterfly sweater, but am also very excited to hear the surprise news. The clothes are lovely and you Louis are making me very happy with your offerings. Keep up the fantastic work.
Glad you made it back home safe and sound. And Happy Anniversary. I guess this was the appliance annniversary.
I don’t know what your good news will be, but if, after watching your presentations, listening to Shawn (who was just great) and reading the forums, QVC doesn’t place a jewelry order, they need to have their collective heads examined.
Can’t wait to hear the news!
Dear Louis,
Please,Please bring back the navy jacket and skirt you had on your show today!!
It sold out and I missed it! I am kicking myself!
Thank you!
I would love to. Time will tell. If the returns are low the people in charge of reorders will make that decision……..I have zero say what is brought back. I get notified that a certain item is going to be reordered and could I pick a new color……..Hopefully we will see it again……but it won’t be until next year.
……………..regards, Louis
Louis,
Jumping in here to ask: Is there a separate group of people “in charge of reorders”, or is it the regular buyers/purchasing/marketing department? Asking because I’m on a real stamped letter writing campaign as you know, and have sent letters to the buyers/purchasing/marketing departments, but if there’s a SEPARATE “reorder” department, I’ll send to them too??? If you have any actual Names to put as Attn: …….. I’ll add that too ..
Regards,
Cathy in PA
Dear Cathy, As you can realize QVC is a huge operation and I do believe a separate group from the buyers handles all reorders. I really don’t know who they are as all the info I get is through the buying team….so I think your inquires and requests will get to them……Louis
Okay then; Monday morning … letters ATTN: QVC Purchasing RE-ORDER Department ๐
I think you are experiencing what I call the bill coming due. Just when you have a great day at QVC, you come home to find the bill to correspond to the check you just received. It’s a law of the universe.
Now the opposite can also be true–when you drop a bundle on a fabulous Linea wardrobe, you hope the check to cover it is coming in the mail. SOON!
Great shows. Can’t wait for the exciting news. How much is it going to cost me?
crdlb
Well Carol that depends….on you. I have a feeling you are going to want more than one……….I’m such a tease………..Louis
Is there anything that you bring us that I don’t get more than one of? OINK!
crdlb
What great shows! Even at 3AM! Got in my orders for the red suit along with the navy and ivory skirts, the olive butterfly cardi, and my navy Robyn. I’m sure you had a wonderful Anniversary dinner–you had a twinkle in your eye during the shows! ๐
Looking forward to the surprise! I bet it’s jewelry, but whatever it is, we’ll be happy!
What a fabulous show and how much fun was Shawn? Congratulations and thank you for always giving us a perfectly curated collection. Glad I got in on the new suiting at midnight. Now I just have to be a good girl and patiently wait for that awesome new ruffled georgette blouse. Can’t wait for news….
I agree, Shawn was great fun today. I especially like it when she refers to the complete look with the jewelry. Who knew, Shawn could possibly be helpful in our quest for more Linea jewelry???
Waiting for the news….
Kate, yes Shawn did an outstanding job hosting the show! It was great.:)
It’s deflating when all the appliances decide to go to their reward at the same time. I am convinced that mine have conversations in the middle of the night when they hear that we are planning a vacation :-). Happy to hear that you had a speedy and safe return trip and that you enjoyed your 12th Anniversary dinner! R. and I celebrated my birthday tonight at a wonderful new restaurant here with a very talented Moroccan chef. We came home STUFFED!!! The shows were wonderful as always and I was able to stick to my list, with the exception of the surprise listing of the butterfly sweater so of course I had to get it as well as navy pants to go with it. Now don’t keep us on tenterhooks for too long about your big surprise!!! Whatever it is , I’m sure it will be most welcome. AS always, Barbara
Dear Louis and Jac,
So glad to hear you made it home safely and had a wonderful anniversary dinner; I hear the shows were fabulous! I got home about the same time you did, after missing both shows; on an airplane returning home from a week in Texas for a funeral and packing up a house. If I never see another roll of packing tape or bubble wrap …
What a nice treat to come home to a neat stack of re-order Linea garments waiting for me … I’m afraid the house sitter thinks I’m crazy … ๐ Hope your puppies were so happy to see you; we get our little Reffi from the kennel tomorrow morning, and I can hardly wait. Despite being on an airplane, I managed to do the midnight stalking computer thing and will have several more nice packages here in a few days; isn’t technology wonderful? Can you believe the satellite TV system in the luxurious cabin by the lake in Texas did NOT get Q???
My treat for the evening is going back to watch all the wonderful styling videos from the shows today; read all the forum posts on cell phone in the car from Phila. airport to home; maybe order another item or 2 if not sold out …
Well, have fun with the appliance shopping; hope you get that mundane stuff taken care of easily, as you know I’m dying to hear your exciting news!!!
Can’t wait to hear the exciting news.
It’s so frustrating when newer appliances don’t last. Knock on wood my freezer is over 35 years old.
I ordered at midnight fortunately as I missed both your shows as my mother was at the hospital.
Dear Claudia,
Sorry to hear about your mother. I hope she makes a speedy recovery…….
…………………..regards, Louis
