A222272, will be presented on 2/24 on the morning show starting at 6:am. This is my georgette, floral wood block print. Again, this print comes from my archives. It was a print that originally came from Italy. The top has a scoop neckline and the body it totally lined to the top of the ruffle, leaving the sleeves unlined. The seam wear the bottom ruffle is attached dips in the back which creates a beautiful flowing effect when you walk or move. The sleeve ruffle is also attached on the diagonal to emulate the body ruffle. The fabric is my polyester georgette so it is easy care and great for taking away on business trips or vacation. As you can see in the photo, this top looks great either belted or loose and easy. The colors are BLACK, TERRA COTTA and GREEN. Each print has off white/ ivory motifs and touches of sand. The bottoms that work best are all the sand crepe and pebble crepe pieces including the natural P.C. crop pants from last year, all black bottoms including the new long pebble crepe skirt, long pants and crop pants and of course the new long pebble crepe terra cotta skirt. Khaki Capri pants and indigo jeans will look great too. This is a wonderful top for work, special occasions or just when you’re in the mood for something feminine and flirtatious…………….I know you will love this unique and totally “designer” print. …………………………………………………………………………………………………….Love, Louis

Hi
Just got back from Germany late last night. Haven’t tried on my goodies yet but saw the new sneak peak and had to ask a question.
How long are the sleeves?
Glad to see you are having more shows in February. Hopefully I will be home this time but looks like I am leaving again in a couple of weeks.
Hope you and Jac are doing well.
Laura
Hi traveling lady!
Okay, the sleeves have two measurements because the hem is not even. The outside measurement [from the shoulder down to the bottom of the ruffle] is approx. 21 inches. The inside measurement [from the underarm seam where it is joined to the body to the bottom of the ruffle] is approx. 16 1/2 inches. This is for an XS. This is not a typical long sleeve because the seam where the ruffle is attached is shorter on the outside and longer on the inside. I did this on purpose to accommodate women with shorter arms but it will still look right on women with longer arms. Hope this helps……………….Louis
Awww…this is so beautiful! I think it would be lovely with my crepe pencil skirt.:) So glad we have another show to look forward to.
GORGEOUS! I have nothing like this in my closet and now I know I really should have. I also would not have thought of wearing terra cotta, but the color is wonderful with my skin tone. As Bart Scott of the NY Jets would say..”Can’t Wait!”
Wow!!! This print/design just blows me away. I have got to find me some belts. Thanks for the sneak….
Every time I think I have my wardrobe set for Italy, you tempt me with something else! And when I saw that the print originally came from Italy, I immediately knew I had to have it. I see it taking me so many places. Simply beautiful!
Hi Louis, these are beautiful! It’s hard to tell from the pictures but is the black top a true saturated black or is it a more of a muted black/charcoal color? Also, I’m wondering why you didn’t pair the new terra cotta blouse with the terra cotta long skirt…. is it because it was just “too much” terra cotta? I was thinking about ordering the terra cotta skirt to go with this blouse but am afraid that will be the case. Thanks!
P.S. I haven’t missed a show since I “discovered” Linea and am looking forward to watching you again in a couple of weeks! I absolutely love you, Jac, and the clothes (of course)!
Dear Jeanie,
I want you to go back to the blog and click on the picture….it will get very small…..click on it again and it will get larger than the original. If you click on an individual picture….that will get bigger still. It’s a great way to see the details. You will notice that the black ground, [actually all the grounds, is not a solid color. It is stippled to look like an authentic wood block print. It is printed in black, but since it has this print effect it is a soft black as apposed to a solid dyed black.
I chose to show the terra cotta top with the sand this time, because if you look at the video of the skirt you will see I already showed the terra cotta top with the terra cotta skirt. I think they look great together and not too much at all. A natural rope belt would look great too with rope or hemp bottom wedges……something very neutral. This time of year I see them in all the catalogs.
Thank you Louis, I did both things you suggested (went back and re-watched the video of the crepe skirt and enlarged the photo to see the stippling effect of the fabric). I definitely see what you mean about the fabric now. I also see that the terra cotta blouse looks great with the terra cotta skirt. They look terrific together. Thanks again!
Little pencil skirt too!
May I just add that these are leggings and skinny jeans friendly! I need the black and the terra cotta (which would be stunning over your white jeans). LDO, you are killing us softly here.
