I think the MEDALLION PRINT SCARF TOP, A227572, would be a perfect piece to wear  transitioning into Fall. The inspiration for the print came from a vintage ETRO SCARF, which Mr. Etro gave to Jac as a present. I collaborated with Mr Etro for many years working to develop prints and fabrics for the Anne Klein Couture collection. The detail and delicacy of this print is extraordinary, and it is almost impossible to get this type of fine printing done today at a reasonable price. The factories simply do not want to print such fine lines……frankly it’s too much work for them and they want easier and less complicated things to print. Soon, only the most expensive fabrics, such as the Etro prints, will have this kind of work and detail……… The OLIVE combination,on the left, looks great with the MOSS FJ pants, a pair of Olive Capri pants or crop pant. It looks wonderful with the FJ Olive skirt pencil skirt too……when the weather gets cool,, just layer a FUCHSIA WK Turtle neck under it and you can wear it all winter long. The BLUE in the middle looks great with JEANS, as well as the FJ SMOKE pants and MAXI SKIRT ………………the PURPLE looks great with the WALNUT FJ pant as well as the NEW WALNUT FAUX WASHED SILK PANT coming on the July 30th show.  This is a season-less piece, and can be worn all year long. I know many of you are getting a  little restless waiting for my July Sneak Peeks, and with this heat, it may be a little dangerous to get too agitated! LOL……So here is my first sneak peak for July………..

………………..J278123, is my SEED BEAD NECKLACE. It will be available, when it is available?, in two color combinations. The necklace in the photos above is the NATURAL, actually I’m not sure what color names have been given for each color, but for our purposes we will call it “NATURAL”…………. The beads are GLASS !…………. It is a combination of ….TORTOISE….GOLD……COPPER….etc. ……..The BARS in the back were designed especially for this piece and there is a LOBSTER CLAW closing with a three inch extender chain. The metal bars are plated in CHOCOLATE……..my new FAVORITE COLOR METAL. It has a warm coppery look without being too russet.

OK, examine the pictures in the upper right closely. By now you know I like abundance and layers….especially when it comes to jewelry…….there are times when I DO like a single something for a more minimal  look, but minimal usually isn’t my thing…………..a very painful time for me in fashion history LOL……… Now, the two pictures in the upper left with the necklace on the black reorder shirt, which will be shown on my July 30th show…..the picture to the left is a single necklace…..the photo to the right and below are two necklaces layered one on top of the other for a more dense look……Is it necessary to get two…..of course not…..one will look beautiful. I just happen to like a heavier look………….ALL of the other photos are of the single necklace. I love this necklace because it is truly season-less. It will look great on a SILK/CASHMERE sweater, or a georgette SAFARI SHIRT, or simple TANK. It can look very ETHNIC and WORLDLY, or very  MODERN……………………I know you will get years of enjoyment wearing it…………………Love………………..Louis

The second color combination for the J278123, SEED BEAD NECKLACE is “MULTI”………or something like that??? as you can see there are ….gold…..copper…..green….blue….AND…..red glass seed beads. The amazing thing about this necklace in this coloration is……it seems to work with almost anything and it really looks great with many prints……..such as the Phoenix Bird print…..for one. Again, the metal bars and closings are plated in CHOCOLATE. Some of the photos show the necklace single and some are doubled………I happen to love the J271863, earring shown above with this necklace, or the J270116, CHANDELIER EARRING that also works perfectly with this necklace color……The two color tops on the left are the new faux washed silk tanks in CHERRY and OCEAN BLUE…..coming on the 30th…………………………………………………….enjoy……………..Love……………Louis

Dressing in Sept and early Oct. can be a challenge. It’s still summer, but after Labor Day wearing white and pastel colors seems wrong, though I love WHITE all year long, and there is nothing wrong with pastel cashmere sweaters, but you all know what I mean. If you work, you need work appropriate clothes……it can still be blazing hot out and the air conditioning can still be ay full blast. I think this little dress, A232516, is the perfect answer. The style was taken from the extremely popular A224712, printed maxi sleeveless dress……the difference is…..I added a 3/4 length sleeve and shortened it…….as was requested by many of you.  The print is an authentic IKAT print. Th colors are RED, which is a deep BRICK RED combined with a MANGO ORANGE and WHITE…………….BROWN, which is a deep WALNUT BROWN combined wit TOBACCO and WHITE……..and…………..GREEN, which is a deep SPRUCE GREEN combines with a GRASS GREEN and WHITE. The fabric is the same poly blend jersey as the maxi dress and many of my printed Ts, that so many of you love. The fact that it is wash and wear is an added bonus for you travelers……..there is still plenty of summer left and this dress will work right now and through the fall…………………enjoy………………….Love………….Louis

Some of you may have noticed that the A87423, mock neck, short sleeve, cotton/acrylic sweater is wait listed in TAUPE. That is a mistake. The sweater is NOT coming in taupe. It has been reordered for next Spring 2014, but taupe is not the new color.
