January Sneak Peek # 5, is A231146, a TUNIC SHIRT. The fabric is  new, for me……… a FAUX CREPE DE CHINE. It is very fluid and feels like real silk…..it prints like it to…..very bright and saturated colors. The print is a digital type abstract print, which is the strongest TREND in prints around the world. It’s the type of print that everyone will interpret in their own way. The body or silhouette of the tunic is very similar to the A222272 tunic from last year….with a difference. The length [28 1/2 inches to center front, dipping longer in the back] is very similar to the last tunic , but the necklines are totally different. The new tunic has an open notch collar and has a  button front to the bottom ruffle. Where as last years may have been, for some, a little restrictive across the shoulders……this one….. due to the open neck….is not. This is definitely something you can wear all year round and it is washable too…….great for travel ………easy to pack. The colors are…………..LIMOGES BLUE/BLACK………………..NATURAL/BLACK……..which is almost an ecru. It’s a top that flows, and is very feminine. It’s flattering to all……it conceals all!

January  Sneak Peek #3 , is A231145, the BODYSUIT!!!! First I want to say….I absolutely LOVE this piece and the companion skirt that will be sneak peek #4. This body suit fits the way a body suit should, and for me it is perfect. If you are a body suit lover you will want this in every color and if you are on the fence…..JUMP OFF!! I can tell you this looks amazing on ALL body times, but make no mistake about it….it IS sexy!!! For my voluptuous ladies….you are going to look dynamite! For those less so, this will make you look more so!! For those of you who have been asking for a lower neckline……I’m sure this will satisfy you. For those of you who think my ballet necks are too low, this IS lower. All kidding aside, this is one fabulous top…..great with jeans and great for any dressy occasion…..depending on what you wear it with and how you accessorize it. For those of you that wear very low cut pants….. this is the top for you…..nothing pops out and you don’t ever have to keep tucking the top in. The colors………..RUBY…………….BLACK…………..TRUFFLE……………I hear you now….what color is truffle. Well, it’s one of those hard to describe colors…..it’s not olive, it’s not quite brown or taupe. It is totally neutral and works with the color you are wearing. It works with dark olive, walnut, dark navy, black. ivory, sand light taupe….I think you get the idea. In the photo above I have it paired with the natural faux linen herringbone pant from last spring and they are great together. It is a very NEW COLOR…..one of my woodsy , from nature colors. This body suit, as all of my body suits, has a double row snap crotch for different torso lengths. There is lots of stretch to this fabric so that really shouldn’t be a problem. This also looks amazing under jackets. All of the jewelry is Linea except or the red necklace, but that will be on the drawing board. I warn you…..you will get whistles so be ready!………..Enjoy, much Love……….Louis

January sneak peek #4 is A231144, the DANCE SKIRT. Why do I call it the dance skirt?….because…..both the bodysuit and this skirt were inspired by dancer’s workout and theater clothes. Think of a modern dancer in motion. The fabric and colors are the same as the body suit, Rayon/Span………..RUBY……………Black…………Truffle. The skirt has a full elastic waist so it is a pull-on skirt. However, it has a flat front waist band. It also has a faux/real wrap……….meaning the wrap over is real, but the under lay is closed so there is no need to worry about exposing anything. Everyone will think you are wearing a real wrap skirt. To accentuate the “look” of the wrap there are two non working buttons on the waist band which looks like the under panel is attached by the buttons. The skirt is approx 31 1/2 to 32 1/2 inches long depending on where you place the band. Wear this skirt as a two piece dress with the bodysuit or as a  terrific separate skirt, that you can wear with anything and any time of year. These pieces are great for traveling as they are easy to pack and are practically wash and wear. As you can see from the photos, the skirt is slim over the hips and then flares out at the bottom………a true DANCE SKIRT!…….Enjoy, much Love…………..Louis

January Sneak Peek #2 is the KATE SHIRT, A214116. I have had a beautiful white cotton shirt as part of my collections when I designed the Anne Klein collection. For me it is as ESSENTIAL in a woman’s wardrobe as a great pair of black pants. There is nothing more ICONIC……….more AMERICAN……..than a WHITE COTTON SHIRT and a pair of JEANS. There are many reasons this shirt stands apart from the multitudes of cotton shirts out there. F8irst is the fabric. This is a fabric I had MADE to my SPECIFICATIONS. It is a fine twill, and being a twill, has more substance than most shirts out there……it also prevents it from being SEE THROUGH….like most shirts out there. It is ALL COTTON with just enough SPANDEX to give just enough STRETCH. The “hand” of the fabric is very smooth, unlike many other shirts that can feel rough. The fabric, the details and the tailoring of this shirt were copied from one of my very expensive cotton shirts…………….right down to the collar stays. When was the last time you found a woman’s shirt with COLLAR STAYS???? There is a very good reason for collar stays….it prevents the corners of the collar from curling and always keeps the collar sharp and crisp looking………….YES, th9is fabric will require some steaming or pressing after washing……….I will not tell a lie, but for me it is worth it………By the way……I do my own pressing! Why you may ask are some cotton shirts wrinkle free? Is it some superior strain of cotton?……..NO……..there is no such thing! The reason some all cotton shirts are wrinkle free is very simple………………………….CHEMICALS! I prefer my shirts chemical free…..the choice is yours. The colors that the KATE shirt are now avail. in are………..the very IMPORTANT WHITE…………..PALE OLIVE…………………..BLUE…………….and the  new…………….SEA GREEN pictured above which is a GREAT MATCH to the new TSV jacket and skirt. Scroll down for more pictures. I think every SHIRT LOVING WOMAN needs to own, at the very least, 4 great white shirts……if not more……JMHO……………………….Enjoy…………much Love………..Louis

Is there anything cooler and more refreshing than a pale blue cotton shirt and a pair of Ivory trousers? Throw the new TSV IVORY JACKET over it and it is unbeatable….CLASSIC, TIMELESS and always CHIC! Add my gold chain hoops, bracelet and necklace [if you were lucky enough to get it], a gold belt and nothing looks more Town and Country….or  for a Cruise to sunny warm places……….. I have paired the PALE OLIVE shirt with the natural FAUX LINEN HERRINGBONE trouser pant. It’s a very TROPICAL look. With that I have two strands of my OLIVE & AMBER beads and the OLIVE drop earring to complete the look. You can’t dress any simply than that and still look TOTALLY pulled together……………..Enjoy…………………much Love…………….Louis
